last night my dad remind me of this Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity

to accept the things i cannot change.

courage to change the things i can

and wisdom to know the difference.

living one day at a time,

enjoying one moment at a time,

accepting hardships as the pathway to peace.

taking, as You did, this sinful world as it is, not as i would have it.

trusting that You will make all things right if i surrender to Your will.

so that i may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever and ever in the next.

Read Psalm 71 How many times the Psalmist talks about the goodness of God! He just can’t keep quiet about the Lord. Praises seem to flood his heart as he reflects on the mighty deeds of God, His sovereignty and His faithfulness. By the end of the Psalm, joy begins to fill his heart and he says, “My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed.” When we feel depressed and hopeless, let’s recount what the Lord had done for us and praise Him. Like the Psalmist we too will overflow with joy.
