Ven “Ephemer! You’re never gonna guess what I found going on in town!”
Ephemer “Oh… hey Ven.”
Ephemer “Sorry… now’s not a really good time…”
Ven “Oh… Oh my gosh are you okay?”
Ephemer “Not… not really…”
Ven “What’s wrong? Did something happen? Why’s there a pod here? Did something happen to one of the dandelions?!”
Ephemer “Kinda… But it’s not recent really.”
Ven “Not recent? Then- Oh! What… what happened to them?”
Ephemer “…. During the war… During the war I found them nearly dead on the battlefield. I did the best I could to stabilize them and keep them safe…. but even now with one of the pods… I still have to cast a few cure spells everyday to keep them stable.”
Ven “That’s… that’s horrible!”
Ephemer “It’s all my fault as well…”
Ven “What?! How?”
Ephemer “I… I abandoned them… I should have gone back sooner, should have stayed longer and told them… maybe then they wouldn’t have ended up like this.”
Ven “That’s not your fault! That couldn’t have…”
Distant Female voice “Ven?”
Ephemer “Hey Ven…”
Distant male voice “Ven?”
Ephemer “Don’t abandon your friends like I did alright?”
Aqua “Ven?”
Ven “Aqua…. Terra? What’s… what are you two doing in my room?”
Terra “We came to wake you for breakfast but… you were crying in your sleep.”
Ven “I… I was?”
Aqua “Are you alright Ven?”
Ven “I…. I don’t know…”
Finally got around to drawing Aqua and Terra again…. plus I need to draw them and Ephemer a little more personally.
I like to think that Ventus will sometimes have dreams of moments he had with the other union leaders, most are memories mixed with his own subconscious… but when he wakes up again they fade away even though a bit of the emotions he felt remain… Vanitas is the same way in this thought process but unlike Ven who forgets, Vanitas remembers.

I’ve talked about what Ingo means to me as a character, but not Link. As I thought about it, this is what flowed out (lol…how did my silly AU end up having all these serious art therapy stuff?)
On that note, some of the adults in my life wanted me to quit drawing. My drawings were ripped up a couple times, & I was told art was useless, that no matter how hard I tried someone will always be better than me. Somehow, no matter how very mean they got about it, I still made art, & I’m very glad I did: art helped me survive.
If it helps you weather life’s storms, don’t ever stop creating. 🩵🌧️
PS: that little drawing at the end is a tracing from one of my drawing diaries when I was little, full of fanart & fancomics.
