I’m late but I’m watching don’t hurt yourself rn like wow now we know why Beyonce went out here & tapped one of the most iconic rock musicians to help her cuss her man out. I remember one of my relatives saying that Jack White was singing on Don’t Hurt Yourself like Bey was his sister and he was letting her trifling man know what it was.

I don’t even know how to feel about the whole thing b/c I’m not a proponent of a woman staying w/ a partner that cheats ever. I always figured that Solange was throwing hands b/c Jay cheated & I guess it should have been clear that he had to have been really grimey to her sister to elicit that kind of reaction.

I weirdly expected more from Jay Z even though I sort of always knew he didn’t deserve Beyonce b/c so many men are with women they don’t deserve and treat poorly.

I adored the push party photos and look forward to seeing the new babies pics. I’m not saying I want her home to be broken up but I would not have been mad if Beyonce had left him and went and found a fine young billionaire to have wild thoughts with in pools, okay?

The past 2 weeks have shown me that too many Black men think that making Black women suffer for their lackluster, thin love is a good thing. I think the albums the carters have made r really important & I think they open up vital convos about black love and romance they need to be had.

These albums push the importance of accountability, introspection, living an examined life. I’m hoping it will push Black men to think about how they harm Black women and black LGBT folk who are the only ppl who have their backs in this harsh, racist society. That it will push them to deal with their shit individually & collectively and stop projecting it onto us (i.e. Kodak Black who, as others have noted, hates himself & his Blackness). It’s hella distressing to realize that Black women will walk through fire to help Black men but that so many Black men like to insult and mock us for not meeting their colorist and racist beauty standards.

In an interview Molly Crabapple said smthing like men have gotten women to buy into this idea that our beauty is the most valuable thing about us and that the more beautiful we are, the better they’ll treat us. And we can see that this isn’t true, we can be the most beautiful woman in the world and they will still act a fool.

Jay had the girl everyone wanted and yet he was still running in these streets. Clearly he, and not his wife, was deficient. It shows me that a man’s character is important. If he has no character it doesn’t matter what a woman does he will still mistreat her.

Anyway 4:44 is good, I hope Yonce’s happy with her choice and as always I wonder what it looks like for Black women to have a love that edifies and liberates and that does not demand suffering to keep it.

moon/venus-mercury aspects = female partners who are excellent speakers, have a way with words, bookworms, or simply youthful. 

example: bradley cooper, moon square mercury, known for his atypical relationship with suki waterhouse as she was 17 years his junior and even read books together. 

moon/venus-mars aspects = partners are assertive women, women who are athletically active, women who are more ‘masculine’.

example(s): john cena, moon square mars, has only dated and is currently dating a female athlete (wrestler). dwayne johnson, venus conjunct mars, is in a relationship and expecting a child with an athletic woman.

moon/venus-jupiter aspects = partners are women of other cultures or women who are cultured or a connoisseur of sorts, women who are travelers, women who are excessive, bohemian types. 

example: robert pattinson, venus square jupiter, engaged to fka twigs who is of jamaican, spanish, and english descent, has definite style with bohemian influence.

moon/venus-saturn aspects = women who are authoritative/business women, mature women, women who are confined or reserved, women who experienced plenty hardship or strict upbringing. 

example: mark zuckerberg, venus opposite saturn, married to a harvard graduate who was the daughter of refugees who fled vietnam. bill gates, venus conjunct saturn, married a business woman who was raised by an aerospace engineer. both wives are now co-founders of companies. 

moon/venus-uranus aspects = female lovers who are outcasted in some way, women who march to the beat of their own drum, erratic or surprising behavior, self-righteous. 

example(s). tim burton, venus conjunct uranus, had a long-time marriage to helena bonham carter, known for her uniqueness. kurt cobain, venus opposite uranus, married courtney love who has been quoted saying “i’m not going to apologise for offending you. actually, I think you should thank me.”

moon/venus-neptune aspects = female lovers who are idealized, women who embody the imagination and fantasy nature of neptune, delusional, perhaps unconditional, partners. 

example: jay-z, venus conjunct neptune, married to beyonce, beyonce is basically whatever people want to perceive her to be and that just so happens to be the best, highly regarded. justin bieber, moon square neptune, quoted on his relationship with selena gomez saying, “my identity was in her. her identity was in me.” 

moon/venus-pluto aspects = partners are women who are compelling, obsessive/controlling, at times destructive, partners who bring a certain formidable quality. 

example: john lenon, moon opposite pluto, was infamously known for his marriage to yoko ono, who was said to have a powerful and even a controlling effect over john. 

***you will notice that all the examples are people with ‘harsh’ aspects (conjunctions, squares, oppositions, quincunx) and that’s because squares, oppositions, and inconjunctions give us the feeling of wanting what we can’t have which only makes us want it more. conjunctions work hand in hand with the planet indicator, in this case bc female partners so it’s moon & venus aspects, your ideal woman exemplifies the planet that conjuncts either of those.

#DisruptJ20: Call for a bold mobilization against the inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20, 2017

On Friday, January 20, 2017, Donald Trump will be inaugurated as President of the United States. We call on all people of good conscience to join in disrupting the ceremonies. If Trump is to be inaugurated at all, let it happen behind closed doors, showing the true face of the security state Trump will preside over. It must be made clear to the whole world that the vast majority of people in the United States do not support his presidency or consent to his rule.

Trump stands for tyranny, greed, and misogyny. He is the champion of neo-nazis and white Nationalists, of the police who kill the Black, Brown and poor on a daily basis, of racist border agents and sadistic prison guards, of the FBI and NSA who tap your phone and read your email. He is the harbinger of even more climate catastrophe, deportation, discrimination, and endless war. He continues to deny the existence of climate change, in spite of all the evidence, putting the future of the whole human race at stake. The KKK, Vladimir Putin, Golden Dawn, and the Islamic State all cheered his victory. If we let his inauguration go unchallenged, we are opening the door to the future they envision.

Trump’s success confirms the bankruptcy of representative democracy. Rather than using the democratic process as an alibi for inaction, we must show that no election could legitimize his agenda. Neither the Democrats nor any other political party or politician will save us—they just offer a weaker version of the same thing. If there is going to be positive change in this society, we have to make it ourselves, together, through direct action.

From day one, the Trump presidency will be a disaster. #DisruptJ20 will be the start of the resistance. We must take to the streets and protest, blockade, disrupt, intervene, sit in, walk out, rise up, and make more noise and good trouble than the establishment can bear. The parade must be stopped. We must delegitimize Trump and all he represents. It’s time to defend ourselves, our loved ones, and the world that sustains us as if our lives depend on it—because they do.

In Washington, DC

DC will not be hospitable to the Trump administration. Every corporation must openly declare whether they side with him or with the people who will suffer at his hands. Thousands will converge and demonstrate resistance to the Trump regime. Save the date. A website will appear shortly with more details. #DisruptJ20
