This is one of my favorite dinners to make. I love pasta, so I was very pleased when I found many different brands of gluten-free pasta. In the same way I tried to avoid enriched white flour when I ate wheat, I try to avoid gluten-free products made with any enriched flours such as white rice flour when I eat gluten-free foods. I use brown rice pasta or multigrain (brown rice, quinoa, flaxseed) pasta, and it tastes just like regular pasta!
Pasta is another great dish in which the creative possibilities are endless. I can add any kind of vegetables or sauce I want. For this dish I sauteed garlic, red onions, tomatoes, basil, and olives before mixing it with the cooked pasta. Then, I tossed everything with some hummus. I always like to have a salad with my meal to get in some more vegetables and make the meal more interesting. For this dinner I made the pasta while my friend made the salad, and we had our first dinner together in my new apartment!

Breakfast is my favorite meal! Literally, I could eat breakfast food for every meal. Most mornings, I start my day off with a bowl of gluten-free oatmeal. I used to eat cereal every morning, but unfortunately many of the gluten-free cereals are made primarily with corn as opposed to the whole wheat and bran cereals I used to have, so I stick with healthy and filling oatmeal. Oatmeal is more fun than cereal anyway. I can add so many different ingredients to it. I usually have strawberries and blueberries, some cinnamon, and two tablespoons of flaxseed. (Flaxseed is an excellent source of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.) If I want a little sweetness (although the fruit gives it a really nice flavor), I add a little agave nectar, which doesn't taste great by itself but is delicious in oatmeal. Also, if it's too hot, sometimes I like to add a little rice milk to cool it down and give it a different consistency. I'm always sad when my favorite meal is over.

Hello, Tumblr World!
Hi! I am new to Tumblr, and right now, I'm unsure of the exact nature of my posts. I do know, however, that I love cooking, keeping fit, and creating new outfits. As I navigate my way through tumblr, I will post recipes, workouts, outfits, and maybe a few other interests.
I recently was put on a gluten-free and dairy-free diet due to some medical issues. Just because I have to cut out gluten and dairy, though, doesn't mean I have to sacrifice delicious, healthy food. I want my tumblr to help and inspire others who also are dealing with dietary restrictions. I am a healthy eater, who tends to choose organic and fresh foods, but I'm not opposed to the occasional treat. In fact, I have a huge sweet tooth, and I plan on developing recipes that will satisfy both my sweet tooth and my restricted diet.
I always have been active, and I plan on keeping that a big part of my life. In addition to playing sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track throughout school, I also was a competitive open-championship Irish dancer. Now, I run or do cardio at the gym along with weight and ab exercises. Even though I sometimes dread working out, I always feel better after I have done it. It helps me release my stress and rejuvenate my body.
I love fashion. I love looking through magazines and finding outfits or pieces of outfits that pop. I'm not the next Coco Chanel, nor do I have a "high fashion" sense of style, but I do enjoy making outfits my own and keeping up with trends. While I like to stay away from labels, I would describe my fashion as edgy-boho. I like dresses paired with converse, shorts paired with boots, tight skirts along with oversized sweaters, and, of course, tons of jewelry. Feather earrings, tons of bracelets, funky rings, and necklaces all different lengths.
Thanks for reading. I look forward to exploring my current and future interests in the world of tumblr!
