CHAPTER TWO : The pessimist

Kate tried her best to seem neutral but the thing was she wasn't sure what exactly she was expected to do as this incredibly hot yet cold boy's tour guide

She had never been one who pays much attention to things and up till date she didn't even know where the school library was even though she had been in this school for years. It wasn't she wasn't a serious type, she was a straight A student but like she said earlier she wasn't very observant

And now she was being forced to show the new boy around school, what the fuck did she know anyways

After walking fruitlessly for some minutes, Kate finally gave up. What the hell, she'll just show Tyler what she did know

She turned to face the boy, he had been staring at her since earlier without saying a word. He seemed rather bored to her

" alright Tyler, this is the wall, that over there are the lockers, this is the ceiling and down there is the gym ( the only place she did know)"

She looked back up at him waiting for a response

' come on then. Say something'

" hmm"

That was it. The only answer she got from him. Kate felt incredibly confused. Wasn't he going to question her actions, doesn't he want to know why she was so dense about her environment

It was when Tyler turned to leave presumably to go back to class that she came back to her senses

" is that it?"

He turned back to look at her

" your not going to make any comments"

At that he gave a tch..

" what's to say?"

' so he talks'

" I don't want to appear weird. Its just that I don't know much about school" Kate explained with a pout

" is knowing that important? "

" no but.."

" then don't fuss about it. I'll get around just fine"

And with that he was walking away, Kate watched him disappear down the hallways with a confused frown

" what a weirdo" she concluded

" Mark's been ignoring me lately" Hannah whined during lunch break

Kate made a groaning sound. If there was enything she hated more than giving tours it was hearing her best friend complaining about her no good boyfriend, what make's it even worse is that it is a regular occurrence

" am telling you, I suspect he might be cheating on me"

" then break up with him. Stop pestering me you pessimist "

" but if not you Kate who else would I tell"

" whatever"

Kate had long given up on those two's relationship. Mark was always cheating on Hannah and Hannah was too much of a numb skull to do anything about it. She thought just because mark was a member of the school's basketball team it gave him any right to cheat.

What the hell was wrong with men. Who the hell gave them the rights to be such scumbags. This is probably why I'll never a boyfriend, boys suck.

All of a sudden, a loud cheering sound caught our attention. I recognized Tyler immediately, his signature scowl was plastered on his face as he was being followed by the basketball team

I watched as he took his seat and much to his annoyance the team sat around him. I get it now, obviously the basketball ball team would be interested in him even the cheerleaders were not left out

Emilia west was there to. The beautiful and most popular girl in school had her fingers all over the knew boy. His face held nothing but annoyance and I had to admit that I kinda felt bad for him. It was the price to pay for being smoking hot.

I was taken back when Tyler's eyes made contact with mine, I immediately lowered my gaze and grabbed my bag

" let's go to the library Hannah "

"Heh? But you don't even know where the library is" she asked in confusion

" that's why your showing me now let's go!"

New Boy, Don't go falling for me

CHAPTER ONE

She concentrated her eyes on her phone, her stupid friend was texting her nonsense again

She didn't get when Hannah would understand that's her relationship was none of her business. Couldn't the girl see that she was in the middle of class

" fuck off bitch!😠😠"

She typed hoping it will send the message to that stupid people leave her alone

There was a shuffling in the background and Kate shoved her phone inside the pocket of her jacket before it would get confiscated. She knew exactly the kind of school she was in

" good morning students"

The principal a tall middle aged man greeted, their homeroom teacher Mr Harry was standing behind him looking a bit uneasy

Kate wondered what all this was going to be about

Since nobody made to reply the principal cleared his throat and continued

" we shall be having a new student today so feel free to make him feel welcomed alright"

Once again nobody made to reply causing Kate to almost laugh, she kinda felt bad for both men, they came at a really bad time since almost everybody in the class was either dozing off or typing away on their phone

" well then since nobody seems to be in the mood to reply, I shall introduce the new student right it."

The principal turned to the door

" come in Mr Walker "

There was suddenly an outburst of mumbling as the new student made his way into the class

Kate felt her mouth go dry at the sight of the new comer

What to say, he was simply the most tantalizing thing she had seen all day

With skin so pale and charcoal black hair falling just above his shimmering brown eyes she couldn't help but stare with mouth agape just like all other females in the class, even the boy's were whispering

The new boy had silver piercing on both ears and face drawn in a blank almost annoyed expression. The cold aura he permeated was a total turn off for Kate

" will you like to introduce yourself to the class Tyler? " Mr harry suggested

The boy ' Tyler' only scowled at that

" No" he simply said

There was giggle by some girl's in the front row as they whispered on how the new comer appeared to be the bad boy type

Kate only rolled her eye's, couldn't they see this boy seem to find them annoying

" alright then take your seat Mr Tyler"

With no more to be said, Tyler made his way to the available seat in the back of the class which for some reason happened to be the seat right behind me

' oh great. Just what I needed'

The principal spoke once again

" I would like to volunteer to give Tyler a tour of the school?"

Not up to a second there were over 30 hands raised up and surprise surprise it was mostly the girls in the class

There was a chorus and a whole lot of things it was incredibly funny to see how far girls will go to impress a boy they don't even know anything about. I couldn't wait to tell Hannah about this

Even the Principal seemed a bit taken aback but the sheer number of girls willing to throw away their precious time but this new boy

I so much wanted to turn back and take a look at this Tyler and see what expression he has, you are probably acting smug wasn't he? Typical

Just at the moment the loud mumbling was broken by an even louder noise

The Familiar sound had me almost wishing the ground would open up and swallow me as all pairs of eyes in the class turn to me

In my haste to hide my phone away from the principal's prying eyes I have forgotten to switch it off and now some idiot was calling me right in the middle of class

"Kate!, phones aren't allowed in this class and you know it" scolded Mr Harry

" I'm sorry it won't happen again, I promise"

" you're right it won't for your misbehaviour I'm volunteering you to give Mr Tyler here around School"

" No!"

That was the last thing I wanted to do right now, even though the new boy was incredibly handsome I didn't want to waste my time showing him around school . I had a life you know and I had a lot of plans with Hannah

" please Mr hurry we consider I have stuff to do" I pleaded almost helplessly

" don't make me give you detention, I already decided. now get to it!"

God damn it all!

Grumpily, I got off my seat and turned towards the new boy

He was still wearing a rather expressionless facade, it somehow pissed me off. It's all his fault and he doesn't even seemed a bit remorseful

" let's go then!"

For the first time ever, his honey brown eyes turned to gaze into mine and just for a second I felt my heart skip a beat but then he scowled and his expression contorted into annoyance

I felt my blood boil. was it that this bastard was seeing me as a disturbance!?

He took his sweet time getting to his feet. He dug his hands into his pockets and gave me the most boring look I have ever seen in my life

" get to it"

I felt like strangling him to death full stop. who the f*** does he think his commanding

I swallow down my anger and turned barging out of the class with the new comer stalking lazily behind me.
