It took a while, but eventually, you successfully made your first fake withdrawal. Earning 30 thousand mora didn’t sound that bad, and you were proud of yourself, despite your friend doing 99.9% of the work. Of course, all good things have to come to an end, though.

You knew it was coming. You knew that the Tenryou Commission would catch on. But what you didn’t know was that their best detective, Shikanoin Heizou, would be on the case. You would’ve thought a spectacular detective like him would’ve been solving murder mysteries or some kinda kidnappings. Not some measly robbery!

It was unbelievable, how dumb could you be! You really thought you would be able to get away with this. Not to mention, all the withdrawals were under the same name, what a terrible choice! The Tenryou Commission realized that the person withdrawing wasn’t real, and sent out Detective Shikanoin Heizou to get to the bottom of it.

Surely, you didn’t expect to be tied up right in front of him.

There he was, in all of his red-haired glory. The real thing, the famed Heizou everyone was talking about. You lowered your head in shame, accepting the fact your case had been cracked.

“Ohoho, why the sad look? Something the matter?” He teased, giving you a smirk. You wanted to punch him in the face.

“Eat shit.” You replied, grimacing your teeth and looking away.

“Ahahaha, wow. You are certainly the funniest treasure hoarder I’ve encountered.” He placed one of his hands on his hips, looking down at you, as if you were an insect.

You didn’t reply, feeling to embarrassed to say anything. Despite being embarrassed, you still wanted to shoot something back, but had nothing to say.

“Well, it’s like that old saying goes, All good things must come to an end. Am I right?” You couldn’t believe he was still poking fun at you.

Again, you said nothing, just biting your lip and bearing it.

“Whatever. Just.. Take me to jail already, or something.” You mumbled back at him.

He put his hand underneath his chin, like he was pondering about something.

“Hmm, should I? I still could get some valuable secrets outta you.” He looked back at you, his lime green eyes lingering on your gaze.

“What? No! I’m not telling you anything.” Your family were people you really cared about, and you didn’t plan on giving up their secrets just for some… oddly attractive detective.

“Ok, ok, fine. I know it’s my job to get you into the slammer, but… I’ll let you off the hook under one condition..” A smirk started to grow on his lips, and you didn’t know whether that was a good or bad sign. Hint, it was a bad sign.

Your eyes widened in disbelief.

‘Really?’ You thought, ‘THE Detective Heizou wants to let ME go?’ It was something you could laugh at if not for the current circumstances you were in.

Snapping back into your mind, you took a deep breath and answered him.

“Fine. What is it?”

He chuckled, then kneeled down beside you. You could feel his breath against the shell of your ear.

“Give me…”
