Update: Life after undergrad

It’s been quite a while since I’ve written to the Tumblr world, but overall I’m okay. I’ve developed tougher skin since I’ve last written something.  To start, I want to begin writing things with substance for myself, and maybe an unforeseen individual that can view my reflection as insightful.  I can finally state that I’m able to explore more than I was able to do while in college (I finally graduated btw). So far, I found a pretty chill job that enables me  to unleash creativity that’s been confined for a couple of years and a fair work-life balance. I’m able to unleash myself to Hip-Hop culture through dance and music. In a 6-year relationship with someone that’s been with me through my progression, but in love, there’s never smooth-sailing unless it’s a rare phenomenon, or a use of prescription drugs to ease the pain. I’m honestly still in love, but there’s internal factors that prevent me from the next step. There will always be the social pressures, but the best thing I could do is not rush it. I’m 25 years-young, I have gone through years of schooling, but it never set me up for the real-world moments. This so-called “adult-life” can be stressful, even when you’re trying to maintain every ounce of positivity. I have my self-doubts and the development of bad habits among other things I’m trying to fight through. 2015 was a year that didn’t have many personal highlights besides my graduation in June, my job, and my trip to the Bay Area. Maybe 2016 will be the first time I feel like I need to start fresh. That’s all for now.
