Street parking in the neighborhood around the Edgemoor Club is free on weekends. However, do note that street parking east of Arlington Road might be harder to find. For those looking for a parking garage, several municipal garages ($1/hr) are within a 10-15 minute walking distance from the venue. Dress Code

Dear wedding guests,

One of our goals for this wedding is to find ways for our guests to feel like they made a creative contribution to the evening.  For this reason, we’re going to ask everyone to adhere to the following dress code.  It has only one criterion.

Please wear something with animals on it at the wedding.  

We can think of three main ways that you could satisfy the requirement:

1. Wearing an article of animal pattern clothing like this Beige Dog Print Rivet Lapel Chiffon Blouse from cichic.com:

3. Wearing an animal accessory (a brooch, earrings, a pocket square, a tie clip, etc.) like this penguin tie clip we found on ebay:

That’s all!  We really hope you have fun with this. Frequently asked questions about the dress code:

Q: Do socks count? A: Yes, socks count. Q: Does underwear count? A: Animal-pattern undies would technically count, but since they’d be under your clothes and invisible, they'd defy the spirit of the law.  So not really.

Q: Do dinosaurs count? A: Yes, all extinct animal species count. Q: Do unicorns count? A: Yes, fantastic beasts do count.

Q: Do amoebas count? A: Unfortunately, amoebas would not fulfill the requirement because they are not multi-celled, so they are excluded from the biological kingdom Animalia by the scientific community.  However, there is no rule against wearing an amoeba-pattern tie as long as you wear something else that satisfies the requirement, like a brooch.

Q: Do coral and sea sponges count? A: Yes, I’m glad you asked.  Coral and sea sponges do belong to kingdom Animalia, so they do count.

Q: Do crocodile boots count? A: If your boots are actually made out of a dead crocodile, then we would not consider that a pattern or a print.
