dark days ahead.
a fascist administration has been installed in the U.S. government and this time, their goal is complete and total annihilation of all institutions provisioning any material protection for people of color, women, lgbtq+, immigrants, religious minorities and the like.
AOC hopped on live to denounce elon's nazi salute in no uncertain terms and how we must protect one another.
this fake presidency has shaken me to my core. i don't know if i will regularly update this page, but i will do my best.

Hari Hair - A Timeline: PART TWO: 1970s
Sailing into the 70s and unforeseen hairstyles are ahead! George neatly and wisely side steps the mullet, but he’s enchanted by the perm, sporting this do for most of the decade. I can see why people get mixed up trying to date George’s perms - he lets them grow out quite often. At the start of the 70s however, George still has his very 60s looking hippie hair…
Tumblr media
1970: MAD HIPPIE
A.K.A Beatles at war. A.K.A Jesus. I don’t think George cut his hair, or possibly his beard, throughout 1970 either. I think this sort of very wild, very unruly long, long hair and beard is symptom of a anti-Beatles reaction; he looks the least like a Beatle here than he ever has, and although I’m sure laziness is a big part of that, I think George is consciously and subconsciously distancing himself from what he was and what he looked like before.
Tumblr media
1971: WAVY HAIR, WAVY BEARD
I used to have hair as long as George’s was in 1970. It’s a pain in the arse. At some point c. Spring 1971, George chops off his long locks for a more manageable shoulder length wavy do, paired with a straggly beard that he sports for most, if not all the year. The furthest left photo is c. May 1971 and furthest right is 30th September 1971.

1972: SHORT HAIR ‘72
Long hair is high maintenance. Every so often George seems to get fed up of it and chop it all off in favour for reasonably short hair. This also typically coincides with extended India trips, which I believe George took in early 1972. These photos are from around May - July 1972. Once more he’s growing it long again towards the end of the year.

1973: A PERM-ANENT PROBLEM
Here comes the perm! One of these photos comes from a website calling it ‘when bad perms happen too good people’, can you guess which? I actually think George looks alright with this style perm, it’s more of a relaxed one (compared to those to come) with centre parting and shoulder length. I think he’s early onto this trend too, but he rolls with it for the rest of the decade. Typical Scouser.
Tumblr media
EARLY 1974: DARK HORSE
George has grown his perm out in the first half of 1974. There’s another trip to India but he doesn’t cut his hair this time, instead just electing to tie it back (2nd photo) sometimes. The two on the right are photos from in Friar Park, around the time Dark Horse Records is launched. These pics are used in Dark Horse album promotion too. This hair is straight on top/sides with curly ends.

LATE 1974 - 1975: OHNOTIMAGEN
Bit of a low period for George, reflected maybe in his hairstyle in the fact he doesn’t change it. He has it cut for the 1974 Dark Horse tour (first pic is Sept 1974) and he keeps it the same pretty much throughout 1975. 1975 George more or less lies low, despite the release of Extra Texture. It’s a sort of wavy perm, just above his shoulders.
Tumblr media
1976: 33 AND 1/3
I didn’t realise until now just how much George actually allowed his 70s perm to grow out. He must not have bothered having it done every month. January (on the left) George is the same as the previous year. Then he has his hair done for the album promo but then by the end of the year (right) he’s let it go long again.
Tumblr media
Early 1977: RINGLETS
Ladies and gentlemen, the 70s have arrived (or maybe the 80s are coming?!) January George (left) still has grown out perm, looking good on the beach down in Acapulco. Then George has to go back to work, and so gets his first proper tight perm to team with some funky knitwear while he tours Germany.
Tumblr media
1978: STICKING WITH THE POODLE PERM
This was one of the most popular hairstyles for men during the late 70s (blame Kevin Keegan) and George stuck with his ‘poodle perm’ throughout 1978. Previous years we’ve seen George perm his hair then more or less let it grow out right away. For ‘78 he keeps the perm, accessorising it with a very 70s moustache that he’s kept since ‘77.
Tumblr media
1979: CURLY AND CUTE
George is on his travels in 1979, for pleasure and business. He goes to Brazil early on in the year and I think that facilitates him chopping the perm off in favour of a shorter, but sweetly curly hair style early on on the year. Later he’s travelling to Monte Carlo and then New York several times in the latter half of the year to deal with legal issues. As the year goes on, he keeps it shorter than it’s been since 1972, and lets it go straighter. I think we can deduce from studying George’s hairstyles that he follows fashion, but functionality always takes precedence. When he’s busy or when he’s going travelling, particularly to hot countries, he usually keeps it shorter and easier to manage. I think this style, particularly where it’s still curly at the start of the year is my favourite George 70s style.
This concludes part 2 of my answer to @missapplescruff ‘s ask.
Next up, the Eighties!

The media in this country is going along pointing the finger at certain minority groups and women. Latino men in particular seem to be the scapegoat for not voting for Kamala Harris. The establishment whether it be the politicians or media punditry in this country is to blame. The approval rating for Congress and the media is at an all time low.

Kamala Harris did not lose the election because of sexism misogyny or racism. She lost because she had no clear policy goal or plan on practically anything especially when it came to the economy.

The election is finally over. The Democrats have nobody to blame but themselves. The Democratic party did not do enough to win the election.
