welcome to my personal blog where i post whatever nonsense i feel like posting at any given moment โ๐ผ
i may not be actively into zombies run anymore but i refuse to change my url. apologies to my fellow Chris McShell fans โฅ
i was just remembering this video i watched as a kid and decided to look for it and I FOUND IT; oh my god i'm so glad it's still out there and i was able to find it
(warning for some flashing lights in the video if ur sensitive to that!!)
this image in particular has lived rent-free in my head for well over a decade:
a lot of people have been hurt in the terror attacks in lebanon, i know this is a time where requests for donations are high and a lot of people are struggling financially. however, if you have something to spare please consider donating to the lebanese red cross, many people who have been injured or died in these attacks have been innocent civilians and hospitals have been overwhelmed with patients.
almost decided to pull an all-nighter last night (ill-advised way to reset one's sleep schedule, but at least anecdotally people have had success with it, and it's VERY tempting to try it when you find yourself still awake at 4am Again & you have no plans for the next day)
but i decided to look online for advice & a couple people suggested sleeping with the curtains open, so that the morning sunlight coming in through the window can help wake you up
so i tried that but then i ended up waking up at 7:30am and i said wellll i would really like to get a couple more hours of sleep. so i went back to sleep. and now i am still in bed at 2pm
this should make you angry. children in gaza have been out of school for a whole year and will be out of school as long as the israeli invasion continues. palestinian children live in flimsy tents which do not offer them any protection from the heat/cold. they travel long distances to search for water. they are threatened by water-borne diseases and skin infections that are running rampant in gaza.
no aid has been allowed in gaza since may. there is a shortage of everything from food to medicine to blankets to tents. this means that prices for everything have gone up.
it has become very expensive to survive in gaza. heavy rains followed by the winter are fast approaching. a tent does not offer much protection against the elements.
help alaa [ @alaakh998 ] buy supplies for the winter and medicine for her son who is suffering from a skin infection. she has two children aged six and four. she needs to ensure their safety and welfare and it cannot be done without your help.
i'm in the mood to complain. what's the deal with (*spins wheel*) "all-day" breakfast places typically only being open til 3pm? what gives these establishments the right to label themselves "all-day" if i can't show up at 6pm and enjoy a hearty platter of breakfast foods for dinner?? listen, i understand that it would be challenging and expensive for a restaurant to keep such long hours. and, of course, a place serving only breakfast foods most likely wouldn't get enough dinnertime customers to make it worthwhile to stay open past lunchtime. but there is a very simple compromise to be made here: if you can't stay open from morning til night, simply remove the "all-day" descriptor from your name. you are not an "all-day" breakfast restaurant. you are simply a breakfast restaurant. or you could say breakfast-and-lunch. or just brunch. you are a brunch place. be honest with yourself. "all-day"? the day does not end at 3 in the goddamn afternoon
Can't make this shit up but Israel really just detonated walkie talkies across Lebanon today killing 9 so far and injuring 300. This comes only a day after Israel had detonated pager devices simultaneously across multiple areas in Lebanon, injuring almost 3,000 and killing 8.
This is some cartoon villain shit and the only reason Israel was able to execute an almost replica of the same attack 24 hours prior is exactly because not a single international body had condemned Israel for its terrorist attack, let alone held it accountable.
In the same timeframe, Israel had also bombed countless areas in Gaza including a school filled with displaced Palestinians, killing 8 mostly women and children, while also committing two massacres against families, killing 20 and injuring over 50.
