The First Trial (Rhys POV)

Someone asked me to write the trials from the first book, so here I am *trying*, haha. Tbh, I’m not a very visual reader, so my physical understanding of the trial was a little hard for me to grasp. I tried my best to make sense of it as well as guess at what Rhys was thinking since we don’t have much to go on for him in this scene. As always, I hope you guys like it. :) Hopefully, I can write the other trials and maybe a special prison visit soon too.

Also, it’s getting late for me and I tried to edit, but I’m sensing the typos may be overflowing with this one. Sorry if it’s worse than usual!

I take NO CREDIT for the dialogue or ideas behind this scene. Those belong 100% to Sarah J. Maas.

One of Us

I almost didn’t believe this was all happening until I was standing there waiting for her to be led out. I could count the number of times I had seen Feyre on one hand and I had been hoping it would stay that way. If she didn’t turn up, it would mean she was safe. Some other poor soul would struggle out instead only to die at what I knew waited in the pit below me, but their loss would be nothing compared to what losing her would feel like.

Every death always meant something, but somehow when it came to Feyre, I was beginning to feel like I would tear the Heavens apart to keep her safe the way I had for Velaris, consequences be damned. I practically had.

I have such a great weekend. I always have such a great weekend. I love not working, and I love being at home! And I love hanging out with Andy and my cats!! We played darts on Saturday and it’s pretty rare that I win, because Andy is usually much better than me but I was on fire with the bull’s-eyes!!!
