The bonus comic booklet featuring Trepan.It’s a short AU side story based on the Transformers fan novel << Over Maniac >>, written by my incredibly talented friend.

In this alternate universe, no war ever happened—every character lives an ordinary life on Cybertron, each in their own unique way.

Overlord is a brilliant neurosurgeon, Fort Max is a somewhat sentimental but kind-hearted novelist.

Trepan is the head of neurosurgery, Ratchet is the head of surgery, and Pharma is a trusted ER doctor.

Shockwave was never subjected to the Empurata or shadowplay—in this world, he serves as both a senator and the director of Iacon Medical Center.

Everyone is doing well and living happily. Just as my friend and I sincerely wished they could.

BTW, the novel is currently only available in Traditional Chinese. An earlier draft (pre-revision) is still up on AO3 if you’re curious!

So… this was the Overlord calendar I made in 2014 (´艸) I forgot why, but I think the official storyline exploded or something, and I just exploded along with it… and then made this thing (´艸) Looking at it now is so embarrassing omg what kind of shame resistance did I even have back then (´艸`)

Actually, I still don’t really understand how I suddenly got so into Trepan… he only appeared in a few panels, and I really don’t remember why. maybe it was because of Overlord, or maybe just because the vibe matched. The main story didn’t describe him much (at least in Season 1), so I could draw freely.

Back then I talked a lot about Trepan with different friends, and little by little his story came out. In 2014, I posted the comic strips one by one, and there were long breaks between each post, so I had time to think and feel with the characters... it really felt like I was watching them live for a whole year ;_;

Next I���ll continue fixing and posting some short strips about student days with Chromedome. maybe 3 or 4 strips? (I forgot.) Once that part is done, it will be the “real ending” of Trepan-sensei in Somewhere over the Dark.

yeh that’s the title of the series: Somewhere over the Dark.

Actually I also thought about another route... one AU where maybe Trepan and some others could survive. I talked about it with several friends for months, and recently we finished building the base of that AU story. So—please wait for me to draw it, slowly but surely.

These past three weeks I went through a bad cold, then pneumonia and asthma—was stuck in bed for days and totally drained. Only just managed to work properly today. Honestly, the worst part was not being able to eat ice cream...or any other ice drinks or even water... in summer..............
