FUNDRAISER EVENT Guide Dogs 250 Challenge

From 24th April to 16th May, I'll be taking part in a fundraising campaign for Guide Dogs!

"Every day 250 people in the UK are told they’re losing their sight. It can be devastating. People with a vision impairment are more likely to encounter depression, loneliness, and unemployment. Guide Dogs helps people with sight loss live the life they choose, but we need vital funds to do this. That’s why we need you to be a game changer and take on the 250 Challenge." - Guide Dogs Website

During this time, my Challenge is for streams to be at least 250 minutes long. I also plan to donate an extra £1 for every sub to my channel. And! I've set up a few goals, with incentives to look forward to:

Level 1 Goal £250 : If we hit this, I will sponsor one of the puppies! Level 2 Goal £500 : If we double our 250 goal, I will sponsor two of the puppies!! Level 3 Goal £750 : If we manage to triple our 250 goal, I will sponsor all three puppies!!!

Streaming for 250 minutes (just over 4 hours) doesn't sound like a challenge for most, but for a spoonie like me, who can't regulate their energy levels, it sure can be!

I'll do my best, but in the event I'm unable to meet the 250 minute minimum, we'll have to think of a fun forfeit or something (be gentle).

Regarding the sponsor puppies, the first will be chosen at random, and the second will be via a poll on my fundraiser page.

WARNING: Malicious Sims 4 Script Mods

A third case of the same malicious script mod has been found in "Cheat Menu" mods cleared by MSQSims but "updated" after Feb. 5, 2024, on her own The Sims Resource page. Do not download any MSQSims mods until this is resolved — other mods may also have been reupdated with malicious files. Please see "What to Do" below for steps to take.

FALLOUT: Updated and cleared mod news will be delayed.

When it returns in full, it will likely require new information.

BACKGROUND

Beginning in mid January 2024, someone began uploading versions of Sims 4 script mods including hidden malicious .exe code. These files appear to be from known or new creators and have been found on three different sites. In one case, a modder's own site was used. All MUST be deleted and a virus scan run.

(Mac users: The .exe included in the malicious mod will not run on a Mac, but you may get an LE.)

Known Cases

Someone claiming to be PimpMySims4 uploaded a mod claiming to be an updated Cult Mod to Mod the Sims.

What to Do

Delete these files: Social Events.package and Social Events.ts4script.

Delete all recent MSQSims files

Run a virus scan, and see the Curseforge Github fix.

What's Changing

Curseforge will be adding new prevention measures for testing file submissions on their site.

Updated and cleared mod news is delayed. When it returns in full (at least at AHQ), it will likely have new features.

Sims 4 Streaming Soon™ 

Kinda looking forward to being able to play and stream The Sims 4 again once I've got my duel-PC set-up going. Not to mention, it's been so long since I made any CC. Maybe I'll feel inspired again. ✨

Here’s a little bit about me.

The only sims game I’ve ever played is the sims 4, and I’ve been playing it for several years. My favorite type of gameplay ‘occult/supernatural’ gameplay. My favorite sims pack is vampires, and my least favorite pack is Journey to Batuu. One of my favorite sims is Inna Cents and I have a love hate relationship with Vlad and Greg. 

I’m currently writing a vampire story for the sims 4 which I’ll be posting about on my tumblr. And finally, if I was a sim my traits would be loner, creative, geek or good.

I really really wanted to do something this year, but with moving house, the passing of a close family member, and a whole bunch of stuff bearing-down on my depression, I’ve just not found the time/energy/focus.

Hi!!! I'm Sawyer. As it says, this simblr is rather new, but I have been spectating and observing you degenerates respectable individuals for upwards of a year now. My favorite game pack is Jungle Adventure, (as the blog's branding clearly shows.) I mainly post edits + townie makeovers, (primarily because they're quicker) but also love to build in this godforsaken game. I have a story about the goths in the works, and may start gen 1 of a legacy challenge sometime soon.

i'm nell (they/them) and i'm a 23 years old simmer from poland! i've been playing the sims ever since i was a kid, and now i mostly focus on the sims 4! i do a little bit of everything - i love making sims, decorating builds (or shells, i'm not great at building myself) and will be posting screenshots from my gameplays as well!!

Hello, I’m Lizzy, 23, she/her. I’ve been playing the sims since around 2009, my first game being the Sims 3 (technically I’ve also played the first sims but that was at my friend’s house on her Mac), then Sims 4 and I’ve also recently started playing Sims 2. 

I’ve always loved the storytelling aspect of the Sims and that’s mainly been what I’ve played (I’m not much of a builder) and I finally decided to try posting. I’ll have to work on my editing though. 

Currently I am playing the  Family Jewels Legacy Challenge with the Stone family, the founder being the above sim Gemma Stone so I’ll hopefully be posting some gameplay screenshots soon.

Above all else, I’m hoping to have a great time and hope to continue following all the lovely simblrs and their stories!
