Lightning just laughs softly from the Nibelheim girl's nervousness. She pulls a black marker from seemingly out of nowhere and signs her codename "Lightning" on Tifa's shirt over the left breast. "There we go. Now we know who owns that boob." She said with a smirk.

I think tonberry is less scary than cuccos. Cuccos could take tonberry in a fight.

That may be true, but Lightning isn't familiar with cuccos. The closest thing they had in both Cocoon and Gran Pulse were chocobos.

"It's both, actually. And thanks I guess." The former lieutenant responded. "It's called the Blazefire Saber. I've been using this thing since my days in Bodhum's Guardian Corps, as well as this uniform."

"Yes, he's very... Cute." Oh her Lindzei, Linkle doesn't realize that she's hanging out with a very evil, very powerful monster. This particular one just seems more sociable than the rest of its kind. "Just don't touch his knife. It has an instant death enchantment on it."

Linkle is casually chilling with a Tonberry on one side and Rogard on the other side. They are sharing snacks and having a wonderful time. The Tonberry is quite happy and not wanting to hurt the Hylian.

Perhaps cucco care translates to Tonberry care?

Lightning is immediately on her guard once she saw the Tonberry. She saw one of those take out the Undying Cei'th Zenovia with a simple poke of its knife. She also had to fight that same Tonberry once it set its sights on her and her party. How on Gran Pulse Linkle managed to tame one of the most ruthless and spiteful monsters on the planet is a complete and utter mystery to the former l'cie. She would hardly believe it happened at all if she wasn't seeing it for herself. "Uh... You okay over there?" She asked, hoping that the monster in question doesn't turn its rusty blade on either of them.
