Hailleaf had healed from some minor scrapes and had set foot into the forest, only to instantly have their tail bitten by a fox. The dejected trudge back to the medicine den was met with sympathetic glances and muffled laughter.

Bearrain's broken bone has become infected.

Dewspots and Moletangle have managed to fight back their infections with Moletangle being able to recover entirely.

Buzzardpaw's mangled tail has healed up well.

Sunpaw caught whitecough.

Mallowpaw has had their leg amputated. They quietly pray that they can still be a warrior with one less leg.

Waterkit was almost abducted by a seagull but Grousefleck managed to kill the bird before it took off with the kit.

Riverfin has recovered very well from their snake bite. In fact, the only evidence of there ever being a bite is a scar.

Skyback has caught whitecough from treating Sunpaw. Sunpaw feels really guilty.

Moletangle and Busheye have confessed to each other and become mates!

Mallowpaw's amputated leg had developed an infection. the medicine cats are working hard to preserve as much of their leftover leg as possible.

Wormpaw, Peachpaw and Lichenpaw have all become apprentices! Their mentors are Pondfrost, Whisperpeak, and Splashtooth.

Waterkit has passed on due to the injuries sustained by the seagull.

Brushkit was also almost abducted by a seagull but Clamtrail saved the kit before the seagull could fly away.

Slightkit has admitted themselves to the medicine cat den when their runny nose only seems to get worse.

Sunkit and Shorekit have caught kittencough.

Grousefleck was badly injured in a fight with a big dog.

Hawkbit, Dazzlenest, and Riversand have caught whitecough.

Pondfrost fought off a rouge all by themselves and they weren't even touched!

Dazzlenest tried to confess to Conchblaze but was rejected.

Bearrain's infection is gone and their broken leg is now twisted.

Runningcrest, Hemlockpelt, Moonkick, Springkit, Sharphare, Splashtooth, Hawkbit, Fleckrustle, Mantisears, and Thunderfur were all abducted by twolegs.

Dewspots' leg is healed but weaker than before.

Vestapelt narrowly avoided a fox.

Moletangle has also caught whitecough.

Fawnfur is able to walk around again after injuring their leg.

Buzzardpaw becomes Buzzardspike and is celebrated for their energy!

Sunpaw has recovered from whitecough.

Sootpaw is made an apprentice to Shimmerfreckle and immediately asks about gathering moss.

Springkit has died. So far from home and so alone. they wonder if Starclan waits for them or if they are too far away for even Starclan to see them.

A loner decides to join the clan. They take on the name of Pinebranch.

When on a patrol sent to look for the missing cats Chasingpaw hears the sound of a dog in the distance. When investigating the noise they see a cat being chased around by a large dog. The patrol manages to lead the dog away while Chasingpaw escorts the injured cat the the medicine den. Moved by their bravery and kindness the cat joins the clan and takes on the name of Shellaster.

Pinebranch finds an abandoned kit on their first patrol out and brings it back to camp to be nursed back to health. They decide to name the kit Flashkit.

Squidburn and Pinebranch have been infected with whitecough.

Hailleaf's tail is scarred but healed from their wound.

Skyback has recovered from whitecough.

Beetleclaw has caught yellowcough.

Sunpaw has become Sunknoll and is honored for their dedication.

Mallowpaw is feeling better than they have been in a long time so they start running around camp doing exercises and apprentice tasks so that they can recover faster! However, this has only led them to scrape their paw pads pretty badly.

Heatherpaw begins training with Tumblethud.

Sunkit and Shorekit have died of kittencough. Shadowcreek knows that if Hemlockpelt finds their way back they will be devastated...

Clamtrail caught greencough.

Swiftspark and Skyback have caught whitecough.

Primwave was rejected by Swiftspark.

Dazzlenest has recovered from greencough... and then fell out of a tree...

Moletangle and Slightkit have recovered from whitecough.

Heatherpaw got into a scuffle with a fox and came out of it with only a few minor scratches!

Brushpaw and Slightpaw have become apprentices under Shadowcreek and Podarch.

Moletangle decided to tangle with a large dog and was injured.

A loner decides to join the clan. They take on the new name of Cavewave.

Some rouges attack a search patrol and kill Wormpaw, Deltarunner, and Sabletooth.

Hyacinthquill quietly steps forward at Skyback's request. Since Hopstar's death nothing has felt real and time seemed to move through water for the grieving clan and yet it still moved so Hyacinthquill did the same.

They lifted their heads to face silverpelt as both cats stood solemnly on the cliff edge, their closest connection to Starclan, and Hyacinthquill felt in awe and vulnerable infront of their ancestors and the elements.

"We sleep here," Skyback murmured softly, as though trying to not break this sacred silence "And Starclan should come to us. Are you ready?"

Hyacinthquill's whiskers twitched as they half joked "Is any one?" Before they laid down with their nose pointing over the edge of the cliff and towards the horizon and allowed sleep to take hold.

An eternity seemed to pass before Hyacinthquill opened their eyes again only to be faced with the same cliff, now swarming with cats.

They sat patiently as the cats parted to reveal Willowbeetle, their father. Willowbeetle casually waltzes up to their kit with a proud smile and confident gaze. "Oh my kit," they purred, "You have all made me so proud. You three were my greatest gift so allow me to return the favor." They pressed their nose to Hyacinthquills nose and said "I give you a life for unity. Use it well to keep your clan together and safe." Incredible pain shook Hyacinthquill. Like each limb was being pulled and shaken by a dog. They sunk their claws into the cliff dirt to hold themselves steady and to remind themselves that they were still whole. Willowbeetle pulled away almost apologetically and turned to sit amongst the starry ranks once more.

Conchgleam stepped forward from the crowd next. The sight of their kit caused their breath to be caught in their throat. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." Hyacinthquill whispered once they were close enough. Pain filled them already as they gazed into Conchgleam's eyes but Conchgleam shook their head. "I was proud to die for my clan. I remain proud to this day. If you had come to protect me I know that badger would have killed you too. Which brings me to the gift I want to give you." Conchgleam touched their nose to Hyacinthquills and spoke with a tone far beyond their age "With this life I give you certainty. Guide Starlingclan and always know they they will get through anything."

Hyacinthquill could feel it now. The rush of adrenaline, the teeth of the badger closing on their spine, the brief feeling of grief that was immediately followed by relief in seeing the badger turn tail and run. Conchgleam never regretted that fight even if it cost them their life. Hyacinthquill looks up to face their kit once more and bows their head. "Thank you for your sacrifice and for your words. It is a relief to know that you are happy still." Conchgleam purred in response and backed away.

The ever stern Duckflow steps forward to replace Conchgleam. "I can see your panic young one." Their eyes seemed to pick up every patch of pricked fur and every twinge of pain. "You will get through this. And you will lead your clan true." They pressed their nose to Hyacinthquills and spoke. "With this life I give you endurance. Weather the storm. Push past the gail. This tireless energy may seem impossible but you will always find it."

Hyacinthquill suddenly felt both energized and exhausted. As if they could run forever and have already all at once. As Duckflow stepped back they gave the panting Hyacinthquill a solemn nod and stepped back into the crowd of watching cats.

Hyacinthquill quickly righted themselves and took a breath. I can do this. The seemingly simple encouragement from Duckflow rang in their head as they took a readying breath. They watched as a familiar white pelt eased out of the crowd and towards the empty cliff edge. Wolverinepeak, the calm and cool-headed elder padded forward and sat elegantly in front of Hyacinthquill. Before they could properly greet the elder Wolverinepeak pressed their nose to Hyacinthquills. "With this life I give you humility. Never be afraid to ask for assistance from your clan. They will understand. Never let pride sway your decision."

A cold chill washed over Hyacinthquill. They felt like a mountain, tall and unshakeable but still supported by the earth beneath them. Hyacinthquill respectfully bowed their head to the elder they had known and looked up to for their entire life. "Thank you for your sacrifice and wisdom." Wolverinepeak merely nodded back and disappeared into the crowd once again.

To Hyacinthquills suprise Emberdapple came sauntering out of the crowd next. Their eyes still glittering with mischief and a joke yet unsaid they approached the half stunned living cat and purred. "What's that look for? You look like you've seen several ghosts." They rumbled in laughter at their own joke for a moment before settling into a more serious expression and touched their nose to Hyacinthquills. "With this life I give you clear judgment. Seek truth through lies, find honesty in cats and do your best to make the right choice."

Hyacinthquill could feel the pressure immediately. Having to always find right from wrong. Knowing that there were multiple ways every situation can go but not knowing which end is the best. The sudden heavy weight on their shoulders just as suddenly disappeared when Emberdapple pulled away and lightly swatted them on the shoulder. "And learn how to know when something was a joke! Gosh I had never been screeched at before in my life but one little thorn in your bedding suddenly had you tearing up the camp like a mad cat." "That was you!?" "Oops. Did I not tell you that before my untimely demise? Well, now you know so... Bye!" And with that Emberdapple raced off and disappeared into the crowd of now amused Starclan cats.

Hyacinthquill huffs, glaring at the spot where Emberdapple had disappeared when they heard a familiar voice. "Hyacinthquill?" Their head snapped to look at the space infront of them. Standing there with stars in their fur was Eaglepaw. My one and only apprentice... Hyacinthquill still mourned their death but Eaglepaw only smiled at their former mentor. "Don't be sad," they soothed "how were we ever supposed to know that the water could rise as high as it did that day. How were we to know that the ocean would hunt us in our own home. I'm thankful that you were my mentor and that I could be with the clan for the time I had." Eaglepaw looked up at their former mentor with pure admiration and openness. "I too have no regrets." They padded forward and touched their nose to Hyacinthquills. "With this life I give you honesty. Use it whenever you need help because there will always be cats willing to listen and lend their aid."

This life surprised Hyacinthquill. Instead of the tumultuous pain they expected the life flowed into them easily. Every hardship, every challenge, could be faced as long as they were willing to ask and receive the help that their clanmates. Hyacinthquill purred as the light feeling faded and opened their eyes only to see that Eaglepaw had already faded back into the crowd of Starclan cats surrounding them.

To Hyacinthquills suprise Blizzardspots was the next cat to step forward. Hyacinthquill bowes their head in respect to the young Starclan cat before leaning forward to receive their next life. Blizzardspots purred with amusement, "Getting tired of talking to everyone? I understand. With this life I give you courage. Through impossible odds and unlikely circumstance, hold fast and face fear with claws at the ready."

Hyacinthquill could feel the life swell in their body. The immense yet satisfying pressure of knowing they could stand against anything. The underlying fear and cautiousness being reassured by their own willingness to see anything through. And when Hyacinthquill opened their eyes, now beaming with confidence, Blizzardspots had already reclaimed their place among the stars.

Plumfade stepped forward next and gave Hyacinthquill a friendly tail flick and smile. "Great Starclan, I do not envy your position." They say with humor in their mew, "But I know all the same that you are gonna do great. Especially with this life. With this life I give you strength. Muscles are all well and good but know that true strength comes from the bonds cats make with eachother and it will be those bonds that become your strength in the future.

Contrary to Plumfade's words Hyacinthquill could feel as their muscles seemed to bulge under their pelt. It burned, as if they had spent this whole night fighting viciously instead of peacefully visiting their warrior ancestors. They knew their paws had the strength to keep them upright but even the effort of standing caused them to nearly collapse. The feeling slowly lifted as Plumfade stepped away. "You only got one more to go," Plumfade reminded them, "You'll be okay." Then they stepped back into the sparkling crowd.

Hyacinthquill waited patiently. The last cat would arrive any moment now and they had to be ready for them. Scanning the crowd a striking and familiar pair of blue eyes caught their attention. Out of the crowd Hopstar steps forward. Hyacinthquill felt immediately humbled and in awe of their former leader. Hopstar had always been strong, even in their old age, but now they not only looked younger but also somehow seemed twice as powerful and proud. "My deputy." Hopstar purred lightly in greeting. "Hopstar" Hyacinthquill lowered themselves before the wise leader, still in awe of how much power and skill seemed to radiate from the noble leader. Hopstar purred a laugh before flicking them in the shoulder with their tail. "Stand up now. You are about to become clan leader, not an apprentice with mouse on your whiskers. I am very proud of you Hyacinthquill. You had not had the opportunity to be deputy for very long before my passing and for that I apologize. But you have faced the ceremony with dignity and resilience and for this I give you your final life. With this life I give you loyalty. Loyalty to kin and clan. Loyalty to the warrior code. Loyalty to yourself. You will have to prove yourself to the rest of the clan unfortunately but in time you will come to understand why and appreciate it."

Hyacinthquill could feel it. The bonds between their clanmates. Heavytail's deep love and affection for Turtleswoop. Hemlockpelt's mourning for Dolphinfade and protective love for their new born kits. Even Skyback beside them. Loving their new clan and the cats within but still missing and longing for the clan that abandoned them. Hyacinthquill almost felt like it was all too much. As if their mind was being over taken by the infinite threads that wove the clans together like a spider web until Hopstar stepped away and lifted their head regally and announced, "I hail you by your new name, Hyacinthstar! Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and Starclan grants you the leadership of Starlingclan. Defend it well, care for the young and old, honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code, live each life with pride and dignity."

Hyacinthstar watched as Starclan began to fade as they cheered and echoed their new name until all of the cats had disappeared and the cheering was a mere echo on the wind.

Hyacinthstar slowly awakened on the cliff over looking the ocean and turned to find that Skyback was already awake and grooming last nights mist from their fur. "Skyback, I-" "Hush. We will talk once we get back to camp. There is much to do. And remember Hyacinthstar, you must never speak to anyone about what happened." Hyacinthstar knew that even if they ever tried they would never be able to find the words to describe what they had just been through. "Yes, I understand. Let's get going then. I think I have a warrior ceremony to preform today and I don't want to delay it for too long."

Sleekrun was washed out to sea...

Mantisears and Eggsong have recovered from yellowcough.

Coalmark ate a poisonous fish and died.

Sungill has recovered from whitecough.

Dewspots easily fought off a fox with not a hair out of place.

Nimblerise and Peachwhisker purr over their three new kits. Wormkit, Peachkit, and Lichenkit.

Plumpaw and Shadowpaw sit tall and proud as Hopstar announces their warrior names, Plumfade and Shadowcreek! Hopstar honors and celebrates their determination and composure.

Moonpaw's leg is twisted and weak but they thank Starclan that it's at least still there.

Brindlepaw has proven themselves a capable and empathetic mediator so they are given the name Brindleroach.

Riversand gracefully returns to being an elder.

Whisperpeak has brought a single kitten into the world. Sootkit.

The camp flooded! The invading waters dragged away Daisyfin, Crookedbracken, Emberdapple, Gardeniasplash, Redocean, and Plumfade.

Quillpaw has been deemed ready and has returned from the last half-moon gathering as Quilldapple.

Sporepaw is made into Sporepelt! Just as they are being honored for their morale they have to quickly excuse themselves and rush to the dirtplace. They desperately hope these stomach problems get fixed soon.

Lightpaw has become Lightnoise! They are honored for their vulnerability.

Sunpaw and Mallowpaw have become apprentices! They happily touch noses with their mentors Mantisears and Dazzlenest.

Hyacinthquill has been made deputy in Crookedbracken's place.

Mantisears has found a cat with healing skills that wishes to join the clan. They introduce themselves as Lakeshimmer.

Hemlockpelt has announced that they are expecting kits!

Bearrain and Dewspots fought off a big dog together but both were badly injured.

A loner has left a kit with the clan only telling the cats the name they chose for it. Heather.

Moletangle caught their leg in some twoleg garbage and it was badly injured.

Buzzardpaw was attacked and injured by a fox.

Sporepelt's guts feel much better.

Mallowpaw has also injured their leg in twoleg garbage.

Hopstar has lived a very long and very successful life. As they lay in their nest surrounded by friends, family, and clanmates long past they slip away into inky darkness, finally ready to hunt in Starclan's ranks.

Dazzlenest's tail was injured by a fox.

Conchblaze has brought three kits to camp. Waterkit, Brushkit, and Slightkit.

Dewspots and Moletangle's injuries are becoming infected.

Thunderpaw has never felt ready. They always think that there is more to learn, more to memorize, more to ingrain into their very bones. They have declined a ceremony and name for a while as they always feel unsure and not ready. Until Freezespots appeared to them in their dreams. The wise medicine cat scolded Thunderpaw for their hesitance. "You are ready," they said, "You have been ready for some time now. The only thing holding you back is you. You are a smart and capable medicine cat. You deserve your name, Thunderfur."

Squidpaw and Moonpaw have become warriors. Hyacinthstar speaks each word carefully and with purpose as they name the new warriors Squidburn and Moonkick. Honoring their humor and strong will.

Oddspots has been chosen as the new deputy of Starlingclan.

Erminedapple has safely returned home!

Hemlockpelt has given birth to three kits! Springkit, Shorekit, and Sunkit.

Riverfin was bitten by a snake and survived!

Hailleaf fought off a rouge without a scratch.

Fawnfur's leg was injured in a twoleg trap.

Moon 120

Saltears has become an elder. Their bad eye has become bad eyes and they feel more like a hindrance than a help these days so Hopstar has allowed them to retire. Oddspots still takes Saltears out for walks and beachside cuddles.

Shimmerfreckle's leg was injured by some twoleg garbage.

Redocean and Riversand have caught whitecough.

Pumpkindapple is breathing easy again.

Crestspeckle has brought home two kits. Sunkit and Mallowkit. Starlingclan ignores how the kits smell lightly of a different clan.

Shadowpaw, Lightpaw, Squidpaw, and Moonpaw have all become apprentices under Sleekrun, Riverfin, Sunnybird, and Hailleaf.

Brindlepaw has expressed interest in other clans and ensuring peace is held so Hopstar has made them the first mediator of the clan! Pigeonfleck and Riversand volunteer to teach Brindlepaw all they know about other clans and how to advise cats until they are ready to do this on their own.

Heavytail and Runningcrest have caught whitecough.

Redocean no longer has whitecough.

Blizzardspots was found dead near the Snipclan border!

Lightpaw and Brindlepaw are trying to talk to Snipclan to get some answers.

Springpaw, Fawnpaw, and Beetlepaw have been deemed ready to become warriors. Springpaw becomes Springmimic after their independence. Fawnpaw becomes Fawnfur after their intelligence. Beetlepaw becomes Beetleclaw after their energy.

Sunnybird 'found' and brought back a kit to camp. They name the kit Chasingkit.

Eggsong tried to confess to Treeheart but they were rejected. Eggsong then went to mope along the beach and caught yellowcough.

Peachwhisker is expecting kits!

Lost and so far away from the cats they knew and loved, Frecklecry wonders if they will even reach Starclan.

Wolverinepeak has caught yellowcough.

Podpaw, Sardinepaw, Conchpaw, and Tumblepaw have all become full warriors of Starlingclan. Podpaw has become Podarch in honor of their spirit. Sardinepaw has become Sardineswipe also in honor of their spirit. Conchpaw has become Conchgleam in honor of their insight. Tumblepaw has become Tumblethud in honor of their resilience.

Buzzardpaw's broken jaw has healed well.

Shadowpaw is no longer coughing.

Whisperpeak is expecting kits!

Oddspots leg is feeling better. Weaker but better.

Sneezedazzle has finally recovered from their infection and broken bone.

Moletangle's leg was injured in a twoleg trap.

Buzzardpaw got into a fight with a rouge and was injured.

A badger attacked the camp! Cats scrambled to battle-ready positions to fend off the lumbering beast.

Hopstar, Wolverinepeak, Sleekrun, and Duckflow raced to defend the nursery. The four cats scratched and batted the badger's long nose whenever it faced their direction. The badger retaliated with a huge paw slamming down toward the cats. Wolveringpeak was unfortunately too slow and was hit full force by the terrifying paw. Duckflow raced forward with the fury of a shark and latched onto the creature's face. Hopstar and Sleekrun followed Duckflow's lead and launched themselves on the badger's back, clawing and biting wherever they could. With a single violent shake, the badger managed to dislodge all of them and bit down on Duckflow's belly.

Freezespots, Honeymurk, Skyback, and Thunderpaw crowded the entrance the the medicine cat den, hissing and spitting and warning the badger away from their den and its vulnerable inhabitants. The badger lashed out at the medicine cats catching Freezespots on the side of their head causing them to go scattering to the other side of the camp. Skyback hissed in furious defiance and laid down vicious blow after vicious blow on the creature's sensitive nose. Sneezedazzle, who had been in the den that morning to have their leg checked over again, came bursting out yowling and slashing their claws against the badger's thick hide until their leg suddenly gave way and they collapsed. As they struggled to stand the badger was driven back by the still hissing medicine cats and they were squashed under paw. Hearing the crunch of bone coming from behind the badger Honeymurk broke formation to possibly drag the injured cat out of the badger's way when they retreat only for the badger to snap at the unsuspecting medicine cat catching their leg, tossing them up and then catching their head in their jaws.

Hopstar yowled a battle command to the remaining cats and they all pulled themselves into a battle formation. Small-statured warriors ducking under the beast's belly and clawing from there. Warriors with the longest legs and most powerful haunches lept onto the badger's back to bite and scratch where they could. Then Hopstar and Crookedbraken rushed the creature's face and scored their claws over its eyes, nose, and lips. With one final furious roar, the badger stumbled backward, turned around, and ran for the dunes. Starlingclan raises their voices in celebration. They had won! but not without their own losses.

Ploverspeak, Hilltalon, Conchgleam, Willowbeetle, Wolverinepeak, Crestspeckle, Duckflow, Honeymurk, Eaglepaw, Sneezedazzle, Pigeonfleck, Weedpaw, and Freezespots remain still and cold on the camp floor. Never to wake again.

Moon 115

Hawkbit was scratched up by thorns while hiding from a large dog.

Ploverspeack saved Hopstar from a hawk but was injured. Hopstar Cant belive a young cat would do that. "I have lives to spare! You don't. Stop that."

Hailleaf and Turtleripple have become mates!

The cobwebs (somehow) went bad. Honeymurk blames the kits.

Coalmark and Riversand have become mates!

Peachwhisker and Nimblerise have become mates!

Hawkbit's thorn scratches have healed up well.

Crookedbracken's leg has also healed up nicely.

Runningcrest came home smelling of catmint and with a large bee sting on their muzzle.

Blizzardspots has confessed to Conchblaze and they have become mates!

Riverfin was scratched on the ear after wrestling a fish from a hawk. They display that fish and thier wound proudly.

Emberpaw has become Emberdapple! Named after their lighthearted and fearless nature.

Hopstar gazes over the three patrols worth of kits before them and at the eager kits still remaining in the nursery. They know that the clan will be scrambling to keep up with these young cats for moons to come and they welcome the challenge.

Springkit, Fawnkit, and Podkit are beckoned forward as a group and are made into apprentices. Fawnpaw is given to Dazzlenest, Podpaw to Turtleripple, and Springpaw to Hopstar themselves.

Beetlekit, Sardinekit, Conchkit, and Tumblekit are welcomed forward next and are made warrior apprentices as well. Beetlepaw to Crookedbracken, Sardinepaw to Turtleswoop, Conchpaw to Daisyfin, and Tumblepaw to Vestapelt.

The two remaining kits stand before their leader and clan awaiting their apprenticeship before Freezespots slowly pads forward and sits beside Hopstar at Pools Edge. "I have been here since this clan began," Freezespots begins what appears to be a well practiced speech, "and in all my moons of watching this clan grow I would never imagine that I would see two kits with the potential to follow Starclans path. And yet here I stand, amazed and proud to announce that these kits shall become medicine cat apprentices!" Thunderkit and Quillkit look at each other with amazement. Both of them. Medicine cat apprentices! Together! They quivered in mirrored excitement wondering which of the skilled and capable medicine cats would mentor them. The wise and learned Freezespots? Both readied themselves as Freezespots murmured something in Hopstar's ear and their leader stood and beckoned them forward with a swish of their tail. "Quillpaw, you will be mentored by Skyback. And Thunderpaw, you will be mentored by Freezespots. But remember this is only an announcement to the clan. The next half moon gathering is where your real ceremony takes place. Until then, learn as much as you can and do your duties as though you were already apprentices. Starlingclan welcomes you both as new medicine cat apprentices." The watching cats erupt into cheers. Chanting the new names of all of the apprentices. With their clan at their backs they all felt ready.

Sneezedazzle fought a large dog and was badly injured.

Flaxstripe went out for a walk this morning, seeming distracted and listless only to later turn up dead at the Snipclan border.

Runningcrest's bee sting is all better. The sting of shame however...

Oddspots recovered from greencough. However, on their first patrol out an apprentice was attacked by a hawk which Oddspots saved them from but they ended up getting injured instead so they had to trudge back to their nest in the medicine cat den before it even got cold.

Pheasantpaw and Sablepaw have become warriors! Pheasantsea in honor of their wit and Sabletooth in celebration of their grace.

Sungill rushes in to greet a tired Sharphare and their five new kits. Together they name them Buzzardkit, Eaglekit, Plumkit, Weedkit, and Sporekit.

Frostfreckle was bitten by a snake and died. The entire clan notices that Freezespots seems to take the news in an unusually poor way. Freezespots can't let any cat know that they are the one who will be suffering most of any. They cannot confide in their kits, they cannot confide in their fellow medicine cats, they cannot confide in their leader. They must suffer this ultimate heartbreak alone. Maybe this was Starclan's punishment...

The clan grieves deeply for the patient and wise Frostfreckle. They will be remembered by most as a cat they could all talk to about their problems and feelings. A cat that always knew what to say and when to say it. A cat that loved and was loved. They will be missed.

Pepperbuzz's lungs are feeling much clearer and they are ready to hunt once more.

Wolverinepeak was worried that their advanced age would result in complications during their pregnancy but they were thankfully able to deliver two healthy kits safely. Crestkit and Emberkit.

Mantisears and Swiftspark have become mates!

Eggsong was attacked by a dog while out on patrol. they came out of the fight with a bite wound.

Frecklecry has found and adopted a three moon old kit named Mole. They are given the new name Molekit and welcomed into the clan.

Clamtrail was not only almost dragged out to sea but they also caught whitecough. The medicine cats are scrambling to keep this cat alive and breathing.

Garlicclaw caught greencough. They whine and lament from their nest that they can't go see their kits like this. Honeymurk has snapped at them more than once to stop and that complaining does nothing but annoy the cats around them to which Garlicclaw huffs and says, "My kits would enjoy my whining..." thus staring the whole cycle over again.

Quietmask's leg has become swollen with infection to the point where Honeymurk considers traveling to one of the other clans for advice.

Riverpaw and Heavypaw have become warriors named Riverfin and Heavydawn. They are celebrated for their courage and strong will.

Pumpkinpaw, Runningpaw, and Blizzardpaw have been made apprentices and were given to Oddspots, Sneezedazzle, and Conchblaze!

Frecklecry was caught in a twoleg trap and has been lost!

A kittypet was found wandering Starlingclan territory when a patrol found them and confronted them. Instead of being scared by these thin and scarred wildcats like most kittypets are, this cat happily pranced up to the patrol and asked to join. The cats reluctantly led the friendly kitty to camp where Hopstar allowed them to become a warrior named Peachwhisker.

Peachwhisker was immediately injured on their first hunting patrol by a fox. As Jumblepaw treated the former kittypet they brought up how they were wild now and injuries like this happen regularly. And that no cat would blame them if they decided to go back to their twoleg. "Are you kidding me? No way I'm going back! That was the most fun I've had in ages! And I fought it off! By myself!" The cats outside listening in almost purred with amusement. Maybe this kitty was tougher than they first thought.

Cragshadow's tail stump has become infected. Honeymurk scolds them about proper washing technique and needing to pay more attention to their missing tail.

Crookedbracken has a new scar from a now-healed injury.

Garlicclaw died from Greencough.

Petunianight caught greencough and had their leg injured by a twoleg trap.

(I had all this written out... then I didn't save... I am going to cry...)

Crookedbracken's grief has gotten so bad that they now have an actual physical stomach ache because of it. The medicine cats are concerned.

Frostfreckle has given birth to two tiny kits. Pumpkinkit and Runningkit. This will be their last litter or they will be boxing their mate over the head.

Primwave has recovered from their whitecough.

Primewave has also tried to confess to Swiftspark but they were rejected.

Shimmerfreckle's leg has healed with no scar in sight.

Cragshadow was out on a morning walk when they were suddenly jumped by a fox. In their mad scramble to get away and up a tree, the fox managed to chomp on their tail, leaving it mangled.

Whisperpeak's whitecough is gone.

Sunnybird and Dazzlenest have recovered from frostbite but were left with a scar.

Hemlockpelt is expecting kits!

Whiteice and Hailleaf have survived yellowcough.

Garlicclaw joins the elders! They happily settle down in the nest next to their new mate Wolverinepeak. They both look forward to living their sunset moon together.

Conchpaw has been named Conchblaze and honored for their composure.

Riverkit, Weaselkit, Hyacinthkit, and Heavykit stand trembling as they are all made apprentices. Riverpaw is given to Waterice, Weaselpaw is given to Riversand, Hyacinthpaw is given to Redocean, and Heavypaw is given to Hailleaf.

Jumblekit sits nervously at pools edge. Their littermates had just been apprenticed but they were left out of the ceremony this far. Were they going to be apprenticed at all?

Pepperbuzz and Splashtooth already love their two kits. Sure they were only just born but they know that those kits are the most perfect kits ever. Their little Riverkit and Weaselkit.

Treeheart is expecting kits!

Willowbeetle brought three new kits to camp. Jumblekit, Hyacinthkit, and Heavykit.

Oddspots was seen fighting and arguing with a loner. When asked about it later They grumpily told everyone that "It was nothing. They were nothing. Don't worry about it." before slinking off to their nest.

Petuniapaw, Turtlepaw, and Spottedpaw are deemed ready to become warriors. They are named Petunianight, Turtleripple, and Spottedstripe.

Flutterbuzz and Crookedbracken tried to chase a fox away from some prey but the fox fought back and managed to catch Flutterbuzz's leg in its jaws. They quickly gave up the scuffle after and CrookedBracken helped Flutterbuzz to the medicine den.

In an attempt to catch an octopus, Dolphinfade got bit by the thing instead and suffered a beak bite.

Spottedstripe saved a cat that was being chased by a dog but got injured in the process.

Dolphinfade's beak wound has become infected.

Sungill tried to confess again TWICE in the last moon but was rejected both times.

Redocean caught whitecough.

Ratpaw has become Ratdrizzle and was celebrated for their leadership.

Spottedstripe has died from their claw wound.

Hailpaw becomes Hailleaf in honor of their valor.

Sloepaw caught greencough.

Mantisears is madly in love with Flutterbuzz but Flutterbuzz is madly in love with Crookedbracken who is also their mate and Crookedbracken only has eyes for Flutterbuzz.

Oddspots, Garlicclaw, Pigeonfleck, Petunianight, and Hemlockpelt all kill a fox together with Garlicclaw leading the charge.

Duckflow is expecting kits!

Flutterbuzz has died from their mangled leg. Crookedbracken is devastated. It was their dumb idea, their idiotic plan that got them hurt in the first place... and now they are gone...

Dolphinfade confessed to Hemlockpelt and they have become mates. Sungill growls under their breath in private.

Treeheart gave birth to five kits! Rabbitkit, Pumakit, Bearkit, Pheasantkit, and Gardeniakit.

Treeheart nervously grooms their kits. They aren't ready for this! or at least they weren't ready for this many! How can they take care of them all! How can they keep an eye on all these kits! Pepperbuzz licks their cheek and reassures them that the whole clan will help if they ever feel overwhelmed. Even the normally cold Duckflow lays their tail reassuringly over Treeheart, silently promising support and care.

Freezespots is expecting again. They know they might have to find some way to stop this from happening or else they would be found out by the rest of the clan.

Yewchill had been jumpy for the last moon or so. "Seeing ghosts," they said when asked about it. No cat expected them to be serious but now as their breathing slows and old friends surround them they know they are finally ready. Shoreeagle found Yewchill's body in their nest, curled up and smiling.

Crookedbracken is expecting kits!

Dolphinfade tried to confess to Sneezedazzle but was rejected.

Daisyfin's leg seems to have healed well.

Shimmerfreckle is not healing from birth well.

Jaggeddart died from their infected wound.

Erminepaw feels the difference. They are slower than before and run out of energy faster but they are so so glad to be out of that stinky den and ready to train again.

Frencreek and Splashstreak were killed by the same band of rouges that killed Songshock and Codpaw.

Sunnybird is walking around camp again! Well, it's more of a limp really but movement is movement.

Fleckpaw happily becomes a medicine cat apprentice named Fleckpaw. Honeymurk proudly shows off their new apprentice at the next half-moon gathering.

Duckflow has given birth to three healthy kits. Hawkbit is being as attentive as possible and bringing them every little thing they ask for. They both name the kits Fleckkit, Rabbitkit, and Hailkit.

Whisperpeak's tail was caught in a fox's jaws as they were scrambling up a tree trying to avoid said fox.

Mantisears snake bite seems to be infected.

Pepperbuzz is no longer coughing up a storm.

Turtleswoop and Shimmerfreckle have caught whitecough.

Jaggeddart saved Splashtooth from a dog but was injured defending them.

Riversand has healed and is ready to take part in clan life.

Erminepaw was swallowed up by a sand dune and woke up in the medicine den. They wail helplessly from their nest. "Oh, NO! NOT AGAIN!"

Riverjumble was buried in sand and suffocated to death.

Songshock's cough has finally gone away.

Sungill confessed to Daisyfin but was rejected.

Swiftspark is finally given the all-clear. Their broken bone has healed.

Frostfreckle puffs out their chest as Waterpaw is made into Waterice and is honored for their determination. Freezespots tries to control their body language. They want to yowl to Starclan about how proud they are but they can't. They purr quietly instead and celebrate as one of their clanmates.

Codkit, Bushkit, and Lilackit are made into paws and are apprenticed to Daisyfin, Grousefleck, and Hopstar themself. Lilackit is really feeling that pressure to be the perfect warrior.

Yewchill is telling stories about Bouncedew.

Pepperbuzz shows off their hunting skill to Splashtooth.

Willowbettle tried to chase a fox away from some prey and got a torn pelt for their troubles.

Pigeonfleck, Eggsong, and Primwave found an injured cat and brought them back to camp for treatment. They hesitantly introduce themselves as Garlicclaw.

Frostfeckle caught whitecough. They make constant excuses to cuddle with Freezespots. 'Oh no, I'm feeling so cold. If only a cat could lay beside me.'

Songshock caught Yellowcough.

Mantisears has recovered from their whitecough.

Sunnybird and Daisyfin got their leg caught in a twoleg trap and escaped with some heavy damage to that leg.

Sprucefeather has injured their leg on some twoleg junk.

Eggpaw quietly listens as Hopstar names them Eggsong and praises them for their evenness.

Cragshadow is really beginning to understand why elders complain of joint pain so often.

Coalmark has healed from their snake bite and is looking forward to continuing to mentor their apprentice.

Waterpaw touches noses with Stemflake. They hope they are ready for this...

Erminepaw was apprenticed to Turtleswoop and was almost immediately swept out to sea. Thankfully Turtleswoop was able to save the young apprentice.

Freezespots pulls Frostfreckle aside and explains that they are expecting again. The two return a few hours later with herbs in their mouths and tails held high.

Hopstar had hunting patrols go out extra early in hopes of bringing back extra prey for the huge ceremony and feast they would be having this night.

Riverpaw almost missed their own ceremony. They were able to make it and were named Riverjumble in honor of their justice.

Redpaw is named Redocean and honored for their hard work.

Dazzlepaw is named Dazzlenest and is celebrated for their fortitude.

Erminepaw is finally breathing better and can start training.

Freezespots had to hide. They could tell that the kits were coming but they knew that they could absolutely not do anything about it in camp so they carefully pranced out of the camp in the early morning with the excuse of going out early to gather herbs. They knew the perfect spot. They picked it out weeks ago. They prepared it with moss and all the herbs they could need. All they had to do now was the hard part.

Frostfreckle noticed Freezespots absence immediately. How could they not notice that their secret mate was missing? They had been acting extremely off the past two moons and Frostfreckle cant help but feel worried. What was happening with them? Why were they acting so squirrelly? Where were they? Why couldn't they tell their own mate what was happening...? Their warrior days might be behind them but they still have those skills engraved into their muscles so they track to the best of their ability. A strand of fur there, an unnatural scrap of herb here, some shifted sand... It took them a while longer than they would have liked to admit but they finally found Freezespots. Chewing juniper berries and gently nuzzling a single tiny kit. Their kit. Frostfreckle realizes. Their kit together. Frostfreckle pushes through the undergrowth. They can't wait to meet them.

Frostfreckle returns that day with Waterkit. Explaining that Frostfreckle and Freezespots had found the mother dead on the border with only this newborn kit still there. That Freezefreckle is giving the unknown mother a proper burial while they were tasked with bringing the kit to camp for adoption and ceremonies. That Frostfreckle will be adopting the kit as their own. No cat can know... Not even Waterkit.

Kinkblaze was poisoned by a sea creature but with Freezespot on nest rest for a 'mysterious stomach ache' and Sprucefeather still being more inexperienced and training Honeypaw they are unable to recover and succumbed to the poison.

Saltears had healed from the snake venom and bite!

Pondfrost no longer has greencough.

Sunpaw is named Sungill and is praised for their heart.

Hopstar saved Sungill from a hawk but was injured instead.

Stempaw finally becomes Stemflake and Ploverpaw becomes Ploverspeck. Each is celebrated for their courage and perspective.

Hopstar doesn't remember the last time they had to do this many apprenticeship ceremonies at once.

Nimblepaw is given to Treeheart, Jaggedpaw is given to Oddspots, Riverpaw is given to Clamtrail, Bluepaw is given to Coalmark, Shimmerpaw is given to Splashtooth, and Sharppaw is given to Sungill.

Roarpatch attacked a bee's nest because they are annoyed by the buzzing.

Freezespots 'mysterious stomach ache' has passed.

Hemlockpaw is the last of their litter, other than Honeypaw, to remain alive for all this time. They grieve for their littermates and hope that they have made them proud. Hemlockpaw is named Hemlockpelt and is honored for their faithfulness.

Hawkbit's infection and leg have been healed.

Flutterbuzz has come out as non-binary.

Crookedbracken has announced that they are expecting kits.

Sunnybird's leg has healed well.

Treepaw is finally deemed ready and is given the warrior name, Treeheart! They are praised for their strategy. Their littermates welcome them with loud yowls and loads of affection. Treeheart secretly worries that they aren't actually ready...

Shoreeagle has swatted at a snake attempting to get into the camp.

Ploverpaw is trembling with excitement when they touch Mantisears nose. They just can't wait to get out there!

Sunpaw sits beside their new mentor Treeheart and can't help but feel as though the mentor might be even more nervous than the new apprentice.

Of all kits, why did they have to get this one... Flutterbuzz gently touched noses with the newly apprenticed Webpaw. They had watched this kit. Seen how they play fought too roughly with their littermates and the other, younger, kits. This 'paw will be nothing but trouble...They catch themselves thinking. But this could be my chance to turn things around for this young cat. Ensure that they don't end up with a bloody future. This could be their only chance...

Freezespots is very concerned about Hopstar's broken bone as the break has started to feel feverish.

Freezespots slipped on a wet rock and has had to endure Yewchill's teasing because of it.

Cragshadow has given birth to two tiny kits but refuses to share any information about the other parent. They name the kits Siltkit and Nimblekit.

Kinkblaze brought home five whole new kits! Their names are Jaggedkit, Riverkit, Bluekit, Shimmerkit, and Sharpkit.

Mantisears caught whitecough...

Pondpaw is named Pondfrost and honored for their fortitude. Pondfrost is a bit miffed that all Hopstar did was change one word but they know better than to protest.

Dolphinpaw is honored for their skill and is named Dolphinfade.

Pepperbuzz playfully nudges Songpaw forward. They know it is time for their apprentice to really start living as a warrior and they couldn't be happier. Songpaw is named Songshock in honor of their poise.

Splashpaw eagerly stands in the middle of the pool as they are named Splashstreak and are celebrated for their benevolence.

Sprucepaw found a kittypet sitting at the border and they asked to join. they have taken on the new name of Swiftspark.

Crookedbracken and Flutterbuzz have never purred as much as they have now. Curled around each other and their three beautiful kits. Redkit, Conekit, and Dazzlekit.

Hailpaw is relieved that they were able to recover quickly from greencough. Or else they wouldn't have been able to become an apprentice alongside their littermates or they might have gotten a different mentor than Splashstreak and they really like Splashstreak.

Honeypaw interrupted their ceremony to request to become a medicine cat instead. Sprucefeather happily takes on the young cat as their apprentice.

Whisperpeak has recovered from greencough.

Stormflicker died of whitecough.

Hawkbit has injured their leg in a twoleg trap.

Sprucekit watches the medicine den closely. The hustle and bustle inside the normally quiet corner of the cave was alarming. The almost constant stream of sick or injured cats, more so. Ever since they had first heard of the term they had wanted to be a warrior but watching the camp now... They know they can help more by becoming a medicine cat. Sprucekit becomes Sprucepaw and is given to Freezespots.

Roarpatch gifted Sprucepaw some maple seeds to congratulate them.

Yewchill will stay as a medicine cat until Sprucepaw is fully trained.

Yewchill lept from a rock funny and sprained their leg.

Pondpaw and Clampaw leave the camp together, excited for their first trip out of the camp. Leaving Splashtooth and Crookedbracken to run after the energetic apprentices.

Dolphinpaw, Songpaw, and Splashpaw eagerly await their apprenticeship ceremony to be over. All three of them are just bursting with questions! Kinkblaze hopes that their mentors, Duckflow, Pepperbuzz, and Saltears can keep up with the young cats' energy.

Sunnybird had caught their leg in some twoleg garbage. It took a while to get free and now their leg is heavily injured.

Coalmark has brought to camp four kits! They refuse to say where from. They have named them Hyacinthkit, Hailkit, Honeykit, and Hemlockkit.

Shoreeagle is eyeing the elders den. They are considering retiring after they are done training their apprentice.

Frostfreckle has decided to join the elders den.

Dolphinpaw had a running nose which has progressed into whitecough.

Turtlepaw and Sneezepaw sit proudly in front of the clan. their warrior assessments had gone well and it was finally time for their warrior ceremonies. They are named Turtleswoop and Sneezedazzle in honor of their affection and courage. Daisypaw nad Treepaw watch envious but still cheering with the rest of the clan for their littermates.

Sprucepaw had to check their observation with Freezespots that Shoreeagle, who has been sniffling and sneezing for a while has been presenting with symptoms of whitecough. Freezespots has to agree with their young apprentice, as much as they wish they couldn't. Shoreeagle has caught whitecough.

Hopstar threw themselves in front of Daisypaw as they were being chased by a big dog and came out of it badly injured.

Grousefleck had their leg caught in a pile of twoleg garbage and escaped heavily injured.

Oddspots felt it late at night. The tell-tale pains. But they didn't want to wake anyone up. So they hid their muzzle in the moss of their nest and, as quietly as possible, had a litter of four kits. The next morning when Freezespots came to check on them they were surprised to find all doing well. Oddspots has named their kits Willowkit, Eggkit, Fogkit, and Primkit.

Clampaw has met every challenge with determination and has overcome every obstacle with ease. Hopstar and Crookedbracken had talked long about this but they both are sure Clampaw is ready, despite their young age. Clampaw is named Clamtrail and praised for their boldness. Dolphinpaw and Shoreeagle have thankfully recovered from their whitecough.

Daisypaw has finished their assessment and is given the name Daisyfin in honor of their devotion. The warm glow of pride they feel is somewhat muted by the sight of their sibling Treepaw watching the ceremony from the entrance of the apprentices den. Next time it will be Treepaw's turn, I just know it.

With the Greenleaf sun baring down on the cats, several have caught heat exhaustion. A few have also caught heatstroke.

Flutterbuzz and Crookedbracken have become mates!

Grousefleck and Whisperpeak have decided to become mates as well! Duckflow watches the couple jealously.
