Magical Herbal Properties by Manifestmoons - Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’re setting up for spellwork, the energy is building, and then—ugh. You go blank. What herb do you need? Do you grab Bay Leaf for protection or Basil for abundance? Now you’re digging through notes, scrolling through your phone, completely breaking the flow.
Been there. So I made something to fix that. Print it, keep it, use it. Spend less time searching and more time casting.

Herb of the Week
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Clover
In the spirit of Saint Patrick’s Day earlier this week, I thought I’d cover the illusive clover and its variants 🍀.
🍀Folk Names: honey, honey stalks, shamrocks three-leaved grass, trefoil
🍀Planet: Mercury
🍀Element: Air
🍀Deities: Rowen
🍀Health Benefits: contains antioxidants which lower blood pressure. Also aids in strengthening bones.
🍀Powers: protection, money, love, fidelity, exorcism, success
🍀Magical Uses
Two Leaved - you will soon find a lover if you find a two leaved clover.
Three-Leaved - worn as a protective amulet.
Four-leaved - represents luck and helps protects against madness and strengthens physics powers. If two people eat a four leaved clover together, mutual love will form.
Five-leaved - powerful in attracting money.
White-clover - works against hexes. can be worn or scattered around a property. (I personally brew them into a tea.)
Red Clover - used to aid in financial agreements.
What did you guys do for Ostara? I didn’t do much, I just picked some wild flowers and put them on my altar.
Happy witching!!

An important lesson we can learn from plants, especially those considered "weeds", is that if a system does not work for you, grow around it.
Dandelions cannot thrive trapped under a concrete roof, so they twist and spread and sprout between the cracks.
Tree roots will find their way through foundations and bricks to feed the tree.
Brambles will climb up and over fences designed to keep them out, if what's beyond let's them grow.
A sunflower in a pot will face the sun, not the room it's owner so desperately wants it to decorate.
Do what you need to do to thrive, irregardless of what others think you should do.

My favorite simple wards to guard the home
Hanging rosemary above the doorstep, and/or above doors of the house for protection.
Sprinkling a line of dried red pepper on a windowsill, to counter a curse.
Placing a mix of dried & ground eggshells and black pepper in every corner of a room to keep out unwanted spirits.
Placing a decoration representing a witch in the kitchen, to keep away illness and to favor health.
Crafting an effigie (no matter how crude!) and make it into the guardian of your home by charging it with your intent of protection and placing it near the front door.
Crafting small witch ladders to hang around the house.

According to the company’s website, “Baking Pitchfest 2024” offers a product edition geared toward baking brands founded and owned by people of color across the U.S., and a bakery edition, which focuses on people of color-owned bakeries in the Northeast and Washington state. “Half mentorship, half competition, Baking Pitchfest is an accelerator program designed to foster greater inclusivity and creativity in the baking world by providing equitable opportunities for People of Color entrepreneurs,” the website states, adding that winners will receive financial support, mentorship, and exposure. But the initiative has generated outrage amongst conservatives online, who have blasted the competition eligibility rules as discriminatory against white people.
One X user critical of King Arthur Baking’s contest posted an email she received from the company in response to her complaining. “Helping build joyful, equitable communities that celebrate diversity is an important part of who we are as a company,” the email states, later adding: “We love baking with anyone and everyone. Our simple expectation is that everyone show respect for one another.”

Some little things I've learned over a decade of witchcraft:
If you are feel called to work but are tired/drained, sit outside. Take in all the energies around you. Nature can help charge you
Every witch does a little bit of a bunch of types of magic but sticks mainly to one or two in general. You usually won't be eclectic forever. You'll find what magics work best with you.
Never be lazy or cut corners with spirits. Always be respectful and always tell them to leave when you're done
When you see a plant or ingredient with a long list of properties, there are different things at play. Season of collection, the part of the plant, the health of the plant, etc all play a role in impacting which properties it will carry.
Don't call on spirits unless you have confidence and control
Be careful with sea/water magic. Get into it gently and slowly until you have the energy figured out because it can get out of hand quickly.
Adding a little pinch of magic into your breakfast can make a major difference in your day.
Your personal emotions/feelings over something will impact a work
Planting some plants is good, not only to have a garden, but the dirt helps cleanse you too. Get all dirty and muddy. It's good for ya
Not all trees are nice
The more you listen to your intuition, the easier it will be to tell it apart from your anxieties and worries
Incense is very easy to make which is why it's usually cheap to buy. But you can find a million tutorials online on how to make your own personal incense which is great if you want a spell to take effect over a while but also want to infuse the fire energy in it.
The more you work with something the better feel you get for it. Cinnamon goes in almost everything i cook and most of my spells because me and cinnamon just get right along
Your path is yours and no one else's. It will look like yours and no one else's

In regards to research:
Don’t accept witchcraft books for history. Read history texts.
Don’t accept witchcraft books for mental processes. Read psychology and biological texts.
Don’t accept witchcraft books for mythology. Don’t accept witchcraft books for religion. Read original texts and papers written researchers credited in their fields.
Use witchcraft books for witchcraft, and witchcraft alone. That is what they specialize in and what they are published for. If it branches out into a different subject, be suspicious and research the topic later.

in my opinion it is essential to make a "right to garden" law that means no one can stop you from growing whatever you want in your yard.
I think it should even apply to renters so a landlord is required to allow you to have a garden
And I think this can become a reality

🔥 on grimoires/books of shadows?
If you're hand-writing correspondences for herbs and stones, but you've never actually worked with them or formed a relationship with them, it's a waste of time. Especially if you don't know why the plants/stones are given those meanings and not others. If you have no idea where the information comes from, how do you know it's valid? Just because it's popular doesn't mean it works.
If you're copying down spells and rituals that you've never tried, or tried once or twice without clear results, it's a waste of time.
If you're pressuring yourself to create some kind of museum-quality archival artifact within your first few years of practice, you're wasting your time.
I'm not talking about notebooks where projects/topics to research/stuff to try out are stored. I also don't mean to speak against people who just really enjoy scrapbooking and journaling and love the process itself.
I'm talking about people who are stressing out about making a perfect quality Book or Binder and feel like they're not allowed to move forward with practice until stuff is written neatly with little watercolor paintings to the side.
If we all wrote down just what we did, instead of what we see other people telling us we need, we'd all have a hell of a lot less to copy down lmao.

Dear Ukrainians!
I heard on social media that there is fake news being spread (most likely by Russia backed trolls) that polish border is closed.
It's a lie.
If you seek asylum - go towards polish border. We are ready for your arrival. We have reception points ready at the border where you can find shelter, food, medical and legal aid.
Polish government launched a dedicated site to help you: ua.gov.pl
Please share this information if you know anyone seeking help right now.
YOU DON'T NEED VISA TO PASS THROUGH POLISH BORDER. ALL YOU NEED IS PASSPORT. VISAS ARE SUSPENDED! YOU DON'T NEED THEM FOR TIME BEING!!!!!!
proof that you no longer need visa:
• in Ukrainian https://www.gov.pl/web/udsc/ukraina---ua • in English https://www.gov.pl/web/udsc/ukraina-en
copied from u/everysir to spread awareness! please spread on relevant threads to get the word out!!!
Just wanted to make this in Ukrainian to help / просто хотів зробити це українською, щоб допомогти
Thank you u/blueleg44 for the Ukrainian version
