BLOG #4
Share what lessons the team learned that week.
Costumer Satisfaction:
It is crucial for the long-term success of any business. Satisfied customers are more likely to become repeat customers, provide positive word-of-mouth recommendations, and refer others to the business. By prioritizing customer satisfaction, a business can improve customer loyalty, increase revenue, and gain a competitive advantage. This involves consistently delivering high-quality products or services that meet or exceed customer expectations. It also means providing excellent customer service, resolving customer issues promptly and effectively, and showing empathy and understanding towards customers. Making plans work: Startups requires a combination of careful planning, flexibility, and adaptability. While having a well-thought-out plan is important, it is also essential to be able to adjust the plan as circumstances change. One important aspect of making plans work is to set clear and specific goals. This involves defining the desired outcomes and identifying the necessary steps to achieve them. It also requires setting realistic timelines and determining the necessary resources, such as personnel, finances, and technology.
Cooperating with Team Members:
In Entrepreneurial ecosystem, cooperating with team members is an effective collaboration that is essential for achieving success in any project or business endeavor. By working together and utilizing each other's strengths, team members can achieve more than they could alone. One important aspect of cooperating with team members is to establish clear roles and responsibilities. This involves defining the tasks and duties of each team member, and ensuring that everyone understands their role in the project. It is also important to communicate expectations and deadlines clearly, to avoid misunderstandings or delays. Explain what the options were, which option the team chose and why. When starting our webpage startup business, there are several options we need to consider depending on our goals and resources. Here are a few options: Develop the website ourselves: If we have the necessary technical skills, we could build the website ourselves using website builders, content management systems (CMS), or coding languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This can be a cost-effective option but requires a significant amount of time and effort. Hire a web developer: If we don't have the technical expertise to develop the website ourselves, we could hire a professional web developer or a web development company to build the website for us. This can be a more expensive option but can result in a high-quality, custom-designed website that meets our specific needs. Use a website template: Another option is to use a pre-designed website template that can be customized to fit your needs. This can be a more affordable and time-efficient option, but may not provide the same level of customization as a custom-designed website. Use a website builder: Website builders are online tools that allows us to create a website without requiring technical skills. They often offer pre-designed templates, drag-and-drop interfaces, and other features that make website creation easy and affordable. This can be a good option if we're on a tight budget and doesn't require advanced customization. With these options provided, the most preferable option to choose is using a website builder. We choose a website builder as an option for our webpage startup business because it is an easy-to-use and affordable solution that doesn't require advanced technical skills. Some benefits of using a website builder include: Ease of use: Website builders usually have user-friendly interfaces with drag-and-drop functionalities that make it easy to create a website without requiring technical skills.
Affordability:
Many website builders offer free or low-cost plans that are affordable for students on a tight budget. Time efficiency: Website builders can save time because they provide pre-designed templates that can be customized to fit your needs, eliminating the need to design a website from scratch. Flexibility: While website builders may not provide the same level of customization as a custom-designed website, they offer a good degree of flexibility to create a website that meets your specific needs. Overall, website builders can be a good option for students who want to create a website quickly and affordably without needing advanced technical skills. However, it's important to carefully evaluate each option and choose the one that best fits your needs and goals. Based on the interviews we had, our team learned that there are still specific problems and challenges that our target customers are facing, this helps us to refine our product and meet the customer's needs. It also gives us insight into the way we should price our product, if they are willing to pay for it and continue using it. In addition, our interviews give us an idea of who would be our student assistants and the students they should assist.

BLOG #5 (C.L.A.S.S. Aid)
What lessons learned by the team. Lesson learned were explained fully and very clearly.
Planning in building a startup is not that easy. When you're starting a new business, you're operating in an environment of high uncertainty. You're trying to create a product or service that people want, in a market that may or may not exist yet. This uncertainty can make it difficult to know what to focus on and how to allocate your resources. Most startups start with limited resources - both in terms of funding and manpower. This means that founders need to be creative and efficient in how they use their resources. They need to be able to do a lot with a little, and they need to be able to prioritize what's most important. And the lessons by our team learned in creating our product (C.L.A.S.S Aid) is the following.
Focus on the customer: One of the most important lessons that startups learn is the importance of putting the customer first. Understanding the needs and desires of your target audience is crucial for building a product that people will want to used.
Agility is key: Startups need to be agile and adaptable to succeed. The ability to pivot and make changes quickly based on feedback from customers and the market is critical.
Failure is a learning opportunity: In the startup world, failure is not uncommon. However, it's important to view failures as learning opportunities and to use them to make improvements to the product or strategy.
Team dynamics are crucial: Building a startup requires a strong team that works well together. Communication, collaboration, and mutual trust are essential for achieving success.
Cash is king: Startups need to be smart with their finances and manage their cash flow carefully. Running out of cash is one of the most common reasons why startups fail.
Planning is important, but so is execution: While having a solid plan is important, execution is what really counts. Startups need to be able to execute on their plans quickly and effectively.
Networking is essential: Networking and building relationships with investors, mentors, and other entrepreneurs is essential for success. These connections can provide valuable advice, support, and funding.
These are just a few of the many lessons that our team learned when building a startup. The key is to stay focused, be flexible, and always be learning and improving.

Blog #3 (Group 5)
Write a narrative each of your customers you've interviewed, hypothesis you've tested and results found. Explaining at least 1 DECISION the team made in the previous week.
C.L.A.S.S. team have decided to further test their hypothesis and check whether other students would decide to avail and use the C.L.A.S.S. Aid web application if ever implemented using online Google Forms.

They have interviewed another eight random potential customers from Central Mindanao University to continue test the hypothesis using the same Google form used with the previous hypothesis testing. The total number of respondents for the hypothesis testing is now sixteen(16).
Among the eight new respondents, seven were financially struggling, but only six has been planning to get a part time job. A total of five CMU student respondents are willing to earn by assisting students.

The respondents were then asked if ever there will be a web app implemented that would allow them to register as an online student assistant to their fellow student, will they sign up and take the opportunity to earn? Four of them have said yes and the other four did not say no either. They have responded maybe, therefore their choice might depend on the efficiency of the web app and the convenience of using it.
The respondents have also suggested some features that they would like the C.L.A.S.S. Aid to have and how they expected it to be. They would like the app to be an accessible and user-friendly web-app. They would like the app to be simple with not so complicated features and organized that would help them use it more conveniently.
The same respondents have been then asked if were they academically struggling, and five of them said yes and the other responded no. They were then asked if are they willing to pay for educational assistants that would provide them assistance with their academic loads, the four said yes and the other four responded no.

The team then asked them if ever there will be an app that would allow them to upload their school works and other activities to ask for help in doing them, would they sign up and use the app? All of them responded yes. In this section of the interview, the service fee of the assistants in each activity done was not mentioned which may have been a factor in their choices.
In conclusion, those financially struggling students that are planning to earn, or students that has the capability of providing academic aid to academically struggling students will most likely use the app as their way to earn. And those students struggling in managing their academic loads are also more likely pay to get their activities done as long as they would be paying the quality assured outputs. All in all the app would likely succeed if it meets the expectations of the customers and serve its purpose efficiently and effectively.

BLOG 2: Hypothesis Testing (Group 5)
Hypothesis Testing: (Methods in testing the hypothesis, results were explained very clearly) validate, interview, solidify your hypothesis Hypothesis: Null hypothesis: The academically and financially struggling CMU students will patronize C.L.A.S.S Aid as it will be effective and beneficial.
Alternative hypothesis: The venture C.L.A.S.S. Aid will be patronized by academically struggling and students who wants to earn as it will be effective and beneficial. In testing the hypothesis, the team created a standardized survey questionnaire to be used in the data collection. The data collection was done on an online survey form using Google forms and was distributed to random CMU students via Facebook Messenger app. We have surveyed to a total of eight CMU students and five of them are female and the other three was male. Survey Results Summary Among the 8 respondents, seven are financially struggling but only five of them are planning to get a part-time job to earn. All respondents were then asked if were they willing to earn by assisting students with their academic loads and seven have said yes. They were asked if would they register if there is an app or web app wherein they could earn by assisting students, four said yes and the other four responded maybe. Among the same eight respondents, 4 are academically struggling and had wanted to ask someone to assist them and pay them. Five were willing to hire an academic assistant. Seven respondents said that they will use the web app if there would be a web app wherein they could upload either activities and assignments and ask someone to help them. The respondents also suggested features they would want the web-app to have in order to use and enjoy the app in the best way possible. The C.L.A.S.S. Aid will benefit financially struggling students whom wants to earn because they get to help their fellow students who is seeking for academic help and get paid in return. It will not cause so much effort for them to earn for they aid students virtually in the comforts of their own homes. They will not need to advertise themselves in social media while trying to get students to assist to because students themselves will go to the web app themselves. It will be much more easier to have transaction as all tasks posted are categorized. Their transaction payments will be secured and they will not worry about getting scammed. The web app will be easy to use and user-friendly. It will also benefit academically struggling students or those students whom are struggling to manage their loads and time. It will be easier for them to look for an assistant who could provide them academic help. It would also secure their transaction payments and will be made sure that the products the assistants provide are in best quality and is not made only for compliance. The team will make sure that the tasks given will be made in a given time frame and will make sure clients get the product worth to what they have paid for. Students both academically and financially struggling will patronize the C.L.A.S.S Aid web-app once implemented in a user-friendly interface.
