Here I post the items I keep hold of, which have a story of sentimental significance to me but of little significance to others.

A little mouse keyring my dad bought me from Austria when he was there getting treatment for cancer. My name is quite unusual in the UK so I never found any accessories with my name on. Claudia is a much more popular name in Europe, especially in Germany and Italy I believe. My dad came across quite a lot of trinkets with my name printed on it, even a hotel nearby called 'Hotel Claudia' :) I have a picture of this somewhere. I think he sent me this mouse whilst he was out there, or he brought it back. I remember getting a postcard from him with a picture of a dog on the front. He knew I loved animals and he was very thoughtful.

This is my passport cover, it used to be a small photo album but I cut the pockets out and put it around my passport. I found it when I was helping my mum clear out my childhood home, there wasn't anything in it but I thought of all the previous lives I've had already with others who have now somewhat vanished from my life. If I see them on social media, I have little interest in what they're up to. It is strange how layers of history get written over. I take those experiences with me as they've shaped my current trajectory and core values in life. Small things like this passport cover hold a lot of value in their meaning and contribute to my sense of identity.
