METAPHYSICAL POEM ANALYSIS 2/2: TO HIS COY MISTRESS BY ANDREW MARVELL

The second poem I chose is 'To His Coy Mistress' by Andrew Marvell. fun fact about me! I learned about this poem my freshman year of high school, and was absolutely horrified. I believe that the lines about worms 'taking the subject's virginity' during decomposition if she doesn't agree to sleep with the speaker will stick with me forever. That being said, I suppose that it's a very unique and interesting take on Carpe Diem. If I had to pick one positive thing about this poem, it would be that.
