IT’S THEORY TIME

cliqueconspiracy is back at it with the madness (we’re champions) and we’ve got some new theories!!

Firstly: we’re assuming that everyone witnessed the freakout over the new merch that became available on hot topic a little bit ago. Here are some pictures for reference.

This is a “SILENCE” themed sweatshirt, with the sleep themed lyrics that were posted on the twitter and Facebook pages on the sleeve. However, the really interesting part about the sweatshirt was the front. 

We took this part to mean:

_ST--self titled

_VSL--vessel

_BF--blurryface

_ ---the unnamed new album!!

this section was also repeated on another piece of merch that became available on hot topic later. 

The part that interested us more, however, was this:

_TØP

_SILENCE

_017

_018

This could have two possible meanings. 1) That the hiatus (aka SILENCE) will last from 2017 to 2018, with TOP continuing the hiatus into 2018, or 2) That the hiatus will end in 2017, with a new album teased/a song released, and the album itself will drop in 2018. If a new album isn’t released until 2018, the _018 on the shirt still makes sense.

Many people have been thinking that since Tyler���s birthday is coming up (December 1st), the band or Josh and Tyler themselves might acknowledge it, breaking the silence they have kept up during the hiatus. Some people think that nothing is coming until late 2018. However, they chose to release this now, not in June of next year. Which means that they wanted us to see it now, maybe so we could get excited for something new coming soon.

Ok, so apparently if you go to twentyonepilots website and left click on their logo and click ''search google for image'' it googles ''don t do that again''. What do you think of this?

Hey there! We tried what you said, and it worked! (except we had to right click instead of left click) We will be posting a video of this separately if anyone is interested (we are experiencing some technical difficulties). Also, as far as we know, this only works when using Chrome.

So, what could this mean? At the moment, we see three possibilities.

1.) If the result for the logo is “don t do that again”, maybe it means that this logo will not be repeated in the new era. The logo could also be altered slightly.

2.) This could their way of saying “stop looking for clues” or “don’t overanalyze everything” (ironic, huh.)

3.) It could just be google acting funny or a crazy coincidence.

any explanation on "severing ties with dema"?

Hey there! We made a post about this that explained a theory that we came across, but in case that was what you were confused about, we can summarize it!

On Wikipedia, the top result for the meaning of “dema” is “towers of silence”. If Josh was saying that Tyler was “severing ties with dema”, and if dema meant “towers of silence”, that would mean that Tyler was severing ties with silence/towers of silence. Because the opposite of silence is sound, that would mean that Tyler could be working on new music. Even though this theory seems way out there, the original tweet with this theory was liked by none other than @blurryface (who is generally believed to be Tyler). 

Long story short, it is possible that “severing ties with dema” meant that Tyler was/is working on new music.

Hi, I was wondering what you think of crossing the e now??? Like, I'm kinda scared because it's the last part of |-/??? Do you think I'm just reading too many theories?

Hi there! We don’t know for certain that the new logo will include a crossed e, especially because the logo on the TOP website still has the crossed os. However, we do think it is very possible!

We don’t think you have any reason to worry! It could just be a coincidence (although this does seem like the kind of thing they would do on purpose). If you are concerned that they will stop creating music or performing, we don’t think you have to worry. In several interviews, they have said that they still want to be playing shows when they are old men.

Hi I have a question about why people think the next album could be named Echo? Then in one of your posts you refer to Blurryface as "Blurryface/Echo". I'm pretty up to date on TØP stuff, but I guess I just missed this haha

Hi there! We actually aren’t positive about how it got started, but we know there are several accounts posting Blurryface-like content on several platforms (youtube, twitter) that go by Echo. As you might have seen from our account, many accounts claiming to have new songs or accounts teasing at a new album also use the name Echo. These accounts somehow gained momentum, making many think that a new album could be named Echo. (Personally, we don’t think this is very likely.) 

Some accounts claim to be Blurryface, some claim to be Echo, which is why we say that we don’t trust any Blurryface/Echo accounts except @blurryface on twitter.

SEVERING TIES WITH DEMA

Last night at the APMAs, the clique/TOP won the award for most dedicated fanbase. Josh had performed with other drummers earlier that night, and was at the award show without Tyler. Josh then stated that Tyler “wishes he could be here” and that he was “off severing ties with DEMA”. 

So, what exactly is DEMA? (this theory was brought to our attention on twitter by user @jecrules)

Well, when you click on the Wikipedia page for DEMA, you are provided with a list of what DEMA might mean.

The first result is an Iranian word that means “towers of silence”. (this may seem a little extra but stay with us) If Tyler is “severing ties with DEMA” or in this case, silence/towers of silence, then that means that he is creating sound. More specifically, a new album or song. As you all know, this is currently TOP’s twitter.

The word “silence” at the top is indicating their hiatus. Silence=lack of sound/music. If Tyler is severing ties with silence, then he is working on the band’s next album or project. Now, we know this seems a bit far fetched. However, something that gives this theory some credibility also happened last night.

The @blurryface account on twitter (which is generally believed to be run by Tyler) liked the theory put forth by user @jecrules. (NOTE: THE ONLY BLURRYFACE/ECHO ACCOUNT WE TRUST IS @BLURRYFACE ON TWITTER)

The fact that this account liked the theory leads us to believe that there might be a grain of truth in there somewhere. 

This could also be about Tyler severing ties with Blurryface.

I found an echo account on tumblr and they have a picture of the boys in a studio that they say was taken a week ago and they told me that the first track to the next album is forest, second Anathema, and the third isn't finished yet. I can't tell if they're real or not (they said they are) so could you maybe see if they are? I don't know how you would but their username is echogoner.

Hi there! We went looking for the photos that you mentioned and did not see them posted. This account, from a glance, doesn't seem trustworthy to us, especially because of their header. It is incredibly easy to create a fake account, and we suspect that this is one of those cases. Thank you for sending this in!

This is probably unlikely because they may need to go on a hiatus and have time to relax. Also, during the Tøur de Cølumbus Tyler seemed to be saying that they have no new content made at that point.

No logo. The E is now crossed out instead of the O. Could the new song/album start with an E?

The dash in the place where the logo was most likely symbolizes waiting for a new logo. Either way, it seems like the red version of the logo is gone. The red eye is gone, and as red was the color of Blurryface, the last piece of Blurryface is also gone.

Silence=lack of sound/music.

Silence is the only word on the twitter header now, facing the right way instead of backwards. Maybe it is part of the new album in some way? Could this also relate to Tyler’s whisperer picture on Instagram?

Now we are just sitting in silence. But for how long?
