Just a few words I want to share to the cast and creators and of course to clone club: 

Ari: Dude. You came on after the show was in full swing and knocked it out of the park. You took on a (unannounced to you at the time) Herculean task of also playing a ton of clones and you did it with ease. The At least that’s how it seems from an audience perspective. Congrats.

Evelyne: If you don’t know already, you mean a lot to a lot of people. You have given your character so much depth and it’s incredible to watch.

Graeme & John: Thank you for creating this show. That you for giving space and a platform for these strong female characters to watch and learn and grow with and from. I cannot wait to see what upcoming projects you put out there. You are masters and I applaud and admire you both.

Jordan: When I watch Felix I cannot believe that you play him. He is a fully rounded 3 dimensional person. You have mentioned how you keep anticipating running into Felix on the street and that makes total sense to me. He’s like a completely separate entity from your own. You are a true artist. Also your dialect work is out of this world. As a voice over artist myself I can only dream of being able to control my voice the way you do.

Josh: I’d like to say first thank you for your connection with fans. You’ve answered several of my questions over the years and have often made yourself available to chat with us and connect with us about the show. Serious props for that. Second of all, your character of Scott is so wonderful and sweet and subtle. You also have stellar timing! It’s a true treat to watch you.

Kathryn: The cast and crew and clone club sing your praises but honestly it doesn’t feel like that’s enough. You are the unsung hero that the casual watcher (I don’t know if there’s such a thing for this show) has no idea the amount of work and dedication you have put in to it. You are the definition of a selfless actor. I strive for that in my own work. It’s not about just one person. It’s about the whole. Thank you for doing that extremely important work and reminding us that that’s what it’s really all about.

Kevin: Your performances always captivate me. The connection that you have with your scene partners and with the audience is so top notch. I strive to make those strong connections as an artist. Watching your work makes me feel like I’m in master class. Thank you. 

Kristian: You. Are. Dope. I seriously love your work. Your timing is always spot on. You inspire me as a comedian constantly.

Maria: Your work is outstanding. Just simply outstanding. Thank you for letting us all be your chickens!

Tatiana: There’s not enough time to say all the things, but also I think (I hope) you know all the things. Everyone has said all the things. You’re amazing, inspiring, and the best actor of our generation. Thank you. (Also your shoe game is always on POINT!)

CloneClub: Thank you to the galaxy of sestras and brother sestras for letting me be a part of this community. For accepting me. For theorizing with me. For creating art for me. For obsessing with me. For meeting up with me in person and showing me kindness. For making me laugh. For inspiring me. For all the things! It’s been an honor. It’s been quite a trip and even though the show is over, Cloneclub will never be done. This community and the show’s legacy will live on forever because of all of you. Thank you.

A Small Loving Rant

Well it’s official...

So what better way to pass the time than rewatching @orphanblack!

Every Single Time I watch this show I am blown away. Blown AWAY! Yes we all know Tatiana is an actual acting genus (and I could rant about her talent for days), however it’s not just Tat’s insane artistry. It’s everything. Everything about this show is genus. I still believe the SFX team doesn’t get NEARLY enough credit for the magic that they pull off. And it is actual magic and I refuse to hear otherwise. Oh! And the score. THE SCORE! Another element that is completely underrated. The music is just so perfect. Trevor Yule you are BRILLIANT. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW IS FIERCE AND BRILLIANT. 

Okay. Mini rant over. Thank you, once again, Orphan Black. For your mastery. For your attention to details. For your connection with your fans. You make sick days feel like a treasure. Because you are a treasure. Thank you thank you thank you. Take a bow you fiercely magnificent lioness.

A Little Magical Update

Hello there CloneClub!

Long time no see! Actually just long time no update. I’ve been reading/looking at all your amazing posts. Thanks for continuing to share during this always long hiatus!

Speaking of hiatus, I thought I’d preoccupy my time by sorting the Leda Clones into Hogwarts Houses. With the new book/play that just came out, it's been fun to jump back into that world. Here is what I came up with:

Sarah - Gryffindor Alison - Slytherin Cosima - Ravenclaw Helena - Hufflepuff Rachel - Slytherin Beth - Gryffindor Krystal - Gryffindor MK - Ravenclaw

What are your thoughts? Do you think these are accurate? I'm sure this has been done before and with a lot more detail, but I just did it for fun and I'd love to know your thoughts!

Potential Clone Swap?

Oh hai so this is happening this week:

Krystal is FINALLY becoming a true member of Clone Club! Be still my heart! I’ve been waiting for this moment for So. Long. Like, legitimately.    

Also, I think that means there might be the possibility of a clone swap.

It looks like Sarah as Krystal. Or more of a stretch but maybe even a flashback of Beth as Krystal? It’s definitely subtle, but the signs are there. A) Her hair looks more like a wig in these shots (not as much roots showing), B) She seems to be a bit more genuinely worried about something (usually when Krystal freaks out its more aggressive and wild than subdued and inward), and C) She’s not doing her usual duck pouty lips. 

What say you, Clone Club? Yay or Nay for a clone swap?

Actual Alison Swears

Everyone in Clone Club talks about how Alison doesn’t really swear. Even Tat was like its a combo of, “a baked good with a jesus reference.” So in 4x08 when she said sh*t people were like...

But the thing is, when Alison really gets pushed to the edge, she does actually use real swear words. Here are some examples:

Every 6th episode of @orphanblack has been a doozy and 4x06 was no exception. From the special effects team KILLING it once again:

To the humor and joy that was and will forever be Krystal:

And of course to that moment at the end with Cosmia in front of the van on fire. We all know how talented Tatiana is. We’ve known it for years now. Her performance is always incredible, but this moment basically made tears project horizontally from my face. 

It was so raw. So reactive. So real. 

And the fact that she did that in one take makes it all the more visceral. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, continually inspiring us, and making us feel all the feels.

Regarding Felix: A Theory

My friend Abril, a former evolutionary geneticist (or evolutionary bio with a focus on genetics), has a pretty incredible @orphanblack theory about Felix. She gave me permission to share it with you.

Yes. Sharesies. Okay. Here we go:

My friend refuses to believe Felix is not related to the clones/ S/ Kendall. As we've seen, nothing regarding their family has been coincidence.

Now, Sarah stole the cup from Felix's loft for Scott to run a test to determine if Felix and Adele are biological siblings or not because she suspected that Adele was a liar-liar-pants-on-fire-Topside-spy. 

However, the cup she stole looked filthy and could easily have been contaminated with her own DNA or DNA from any of the other clones that have visited Felix's loft.

Scott ran his test and called Sarah to inform her that the DNA samples she provided (presumably Felix and Adele's) matched as siblings. However, if Sarah inadvertently contaminated said sample with her own DNA  then Felix's DNA would be a match to Sarah. Hence, Felix is related to the clones in some way.

Right? OR! She further explained that the DNA contamination might not have been from Sarah or another clone, but from Kira! She was present at the loft that day too! 

Maybe Felix was made from an egg taken from one of the clones, then he and Kira WOULD be siblings (genetically) and it would make sense for the DNA match to indicate a sibling relationship.

Thus, she believes that Felix was the first BrightBorn baby. Generated from an egg taken from one of he clones and an (as yet) unknown sperm donor. He, like Sarah, was placed with S so that the family could be monitored in tandem.

Is your mind blown? Because mine was. What are you thoughts Clone Club? I’d loooove to hear them!

The Gif That Launched a Thousand Theories

Man. For some reason I’m really hung up on this gif:

So far I have two different theories about here and here.

However, now I have a new theory. We know with the next episode (4x05), Susan Duncan talks with Cosima:

And with the teaser of 4x05 we see that Cosima is wearing a blue surgical cap, 

which we can see in the previous gif. BUT IS THAT EVEN COSIMA?? How’d she get all her dreads under there? Like for real. Also she’s not wearing a nose ring or her usual eye makeup. I smell a clone swap happening. But I digress... 

So maybe Susan is talking to Cosima at a different time? But when does that scene take place? The same episode? Does Susan think it’s Beth still? Could she believe it’s Krystal? Why am I fixating on this? Idk. Because @orphanblack always keeps me guessing. And I LOVE IT. Whatever it turns out to be, I’m sure I’ll react like this: 

PS- I’d like to call it now, Krystal either sees A) one of her clone sisters (which is what I believe is most likely) or B) sees Ira and freaks out because of her past experiences with Rudy and Seth.

OB Spin Off Idea

A Thought/Theory About Beth

A little while ago I wrote about a theory I had on Krystal.  It basically said that I think Susan Duncan is saying, “Remember me?” to her here:

I think that because if you look closely you can clearly see who ever she’s talking to is wearing a head cap of some kind. See?

(Also that is for sure one of the “Cheek Choppers” aka Roxie behind Susan too. I could go into that, but that’s for another post.)

Why is Susan Duncan saying that to Krystal? Well my theory is it’s because Beth dressed up as Krystal and met Susan Duncan before she killed herself. 

We know she went to where Susan worked:

And I believe what ever happened there/what ever she discovered/what ever Susan said to her caused her to take her life. 

So that’s my theory. Susan is saying, “Remember me?” to Krystal, but Krystal doesn’t remember because it was actually Beth. 

OR! She’s actually talking to Cosima. We know she’s also wearing a surgical cap at some point. Right? I’m pretty sure it’s her anyway...

OR! If I really wanted to stretch my imagination, Beth didn’t kill herself and Susan is actually saying that to Beth! 

Or all of this is completely wrong and she’s actually just talking to Rachel. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH @orphanblack!
