as someone who relates to bob and has been infantilised because of my addiction and my bipolar, seeing this happen to the one character in my life that i relate to makes me so frustrated and sad. it’s wrong.

having a softer personality does not make you a child.

So I went to see the Thunderbolts* with my friend. We are very close, she is literally the aunt of my kids. Anyway, she didn’t understand the fight between Bob and Void. It didn’t occur to me that it wasn’t just her though. Since it came out on streaming and YouTubers have been reacting to it I started to realize that maybe I’m reading too much into that scene.

The way that Bob fights the void feels like an allegory to self harm. Literally beating yourself up for all the bad things he’s done and how he feels. It’s so sad to me that it seems like other people don’t see that because I feel like it makes the scene even more tragic and beautiful
