love in mundane places (ref pic and process talk under cut)

the ref was taken by me outside a grocery store a couple months ago. inspired by the process of ultrakill's infamous fan story dream's end come true. i just colourpicked and drew over the ref. the black background is also inspired by dect. aka. i was too lazy for the sky and also i think it adds a nice sort of liminal feeling to it. like, i dont know. somewhere in time and space, dean and castiel are in a parking lot, going home with groceries just after it rained. and there is love, and everything is okay

Hey remember when US and Russia was all like “We’re the best!!! We’ve won the space race!!!!” But India sent a kick-ass space probe to Mars and the whole mission was fuel efficient, costed less and a roaring success in the first try and then they were like “…..wait no that can’t be true” and still have the audacity to call us “underdeveloped” or only view us as a ‘third world country’? :)

For anyone who needs more info, the probe was called Mangalyaan (which literally means space probe vehicle) or Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) and you can also get more information here and here

oh I did edit the colour of the ref to be a little darker (blue overlay). this is the og ref

i do have a short timelapse but i only remembered to start recording at the end. theres not much to see anyway. just me flipping between the ref and the paint layers + adding the wings. but it is a nice look into how im making these i suppose
