Since Dad left that rainy night, I felt worried. They called him in the wee hours of the morning, and even though Papa Roses asked him not to go out because it was dangerous, he went. Days later, a man dressed as Dad came home with a box, which made Dad Roses cry.

The next day, he woke us up early and asked us to dress in black. In the rain, he took us to a strange place, full of men dressed alike, where they all looked at us sadly. In the center was a wooden box surrounded by flowers. Papa Roses cried as he approached and then called out to my brothers and me.

When I approached, I saw Dad “sleeping��� inside the box. Papa Roses told me he wouldn't wake up for a while, but he would soon. Later, we took the box to the garden, where they buried it. Although I don't understand why, I can't help but wonder if Dad will be comfortable in there? What if he wakes up?

Sometimes I ask myself, "What would have happened if I hadn't died?" And I tell myself it would have been for the best. But it isn't. If I had grown up and gotten engaged to James, I probably would have fulfilled one of my wishes.

But not the one I wanted most with my soul.What would it have been like to carry a mini copy of me or James in my arms? I tell myself it would be so cute, but I know it won't come true, even if I wish for it.

Context: After the death of Aika's parents, Suu and Criam, at Roses' request to "her husband", she made them lose the memory of the moment when they saw their parents die at their own hands, making them believe that they had gone on vacation. Although the decision was made by Roses, since she did not want them to suffer, they convinced them that they would stay there for a few weeks. As a precaution, they took the appearances of them and her husband, practically resembling the children of Sangre.

As for Roses, he took most of his sister's personality and appearance, being an almost exact copy of her. He has and will have a great bond with his sister's children. When he brought them home, he gave clothes and a bath to his two nephews.

Criam and Aika are the ones I feel the most sorry for in this situation, since he was hoping they would come back (at the time they were 12 and 11 years old).

So, how do I start? Before the adoption and the death of Aika's mother, he was about 11 and James was 12. At first, obviously, they were childhood friends. However, after the death of Aika's mother, the adoptive father (Roses' husband) didn't want them to see each other anymore, changing his "children's" schools and all that.

They meet again several years later, when Aika is about 15 or 16 years old and James is about 16 or 17 (estimating that it had been about 4 or 5 years since they last saw each other). By this time, James was already sick.

When I met him, I didn't know he was sick. It was at that time that our poor Aika and his siblings went through the death of Roses (and before that that of her husband). It was a hard time, since he practically raised them and is their uncle, almost their father.

This is where, the last few times they met, Aika's condition was slowly getting worse. Adding to James' shock or surprise, it wasn't nice for him. Like Criam, he was with Aika until he had to be hospitalized. After that, he only saw him for a few days there.

Aika thought James was dead, since James is basically a three-leaf Clover, which was used for military and war purposes. Although James was a cross between a skeleton (Clover) and a beast (which, to be honest, is not noticeable).

Well, in this case, James was there for Aika almost the whole time. At the time of the departure, he didn't know about it until hours after the death. Obviously, he found out from Criam. It must have been hard to lose him.

In an alternative AU, Criam (who, if we take into account that Criam wanted to be a doctor when he was a child, but because of Roses' husband he was forced to become a soldier) was able to do a kind of cure, but with one consequence. She was able to live and marry James at 18, but as I said before, the cure had one consequence, which was that she could not conceive a little skeleton with her husband. I already portrayed that at one point in my state.

To understand the context behind all this death, you must first know that Clovers are fundamental beings in their AU. Unlike other monsters that need special tools or artifacts to manifest powers, Clovers are born with them. Because of this, they are essential in areas such as medicine and wars. Initially, there were about 1000 Clovers in the population, but their numbers decreased drastically due to government retention and experiments. Many were captured for military or medical purposes, dying in the process.

Indigo, a "one-leaf clover," belongs to the lowest rank among the clovers. Clovers are divided into four groups based on their leaves: one, two, three, or four. The fewer leaves they have, the less power they have. One-leaf clovers are considered less useful, and are often experimented on or eliminated by the government. On the other hand, two-leaf clovers excel in medicine, three-leaf clovers are valuable in military matters, and four-leaf clovers possess exceptional abilities such as telekinesis, making them almost godlike (there is only a 5% chance of them being born).

Indigo is the eldest sibling, the first born after Dany and Lily. His parents were victims of the government. The mother, a one-leaf clover, was captured as a child and met the father, a state scientist, in captivity. They both escaped to live out their love and had three children. However, the government found them years later, murdering both in front of their children. Despite this, the children were not left alone. A maternal uncle, also a one-leaf clover, managed to escape with the help of a soldier who offered him protection in exchange for becoming his husband. Although he endured abuse, the uncle prioritized the safety of the children.

Eventually, the soldier died on a mission, leaving the children, his nephew and the son he had with him, vulnerable again. Despite everything, the uncle tried to give them a quiet life. He worked as a singer in bars, but one day the state murdered him during a show in front of the children. This event marked the beginning of a series of tragedies.

Aika, one of the sons, had been injected with a substance that caused serious health problems, such as the formation of flowers inside his body. Roses' death worsened his condition, and he eventually died of asphyxiation in the hospital, accompanied by Criam, who was left in charge of his younger siblings. Criam took on the difficult task of caring for the family and announcing the loss.

Despite these tragedies, there are alternate AUs where some characters have happier endings. There will be more to be written in the future!

Summary:
