Not throwing away our shot!
March 26: the PRINTSone team pitched their venture.
Our team received minor feedback, which I admit brought me relief. We were also under time pressure that day, but we managed to unite ourselves without any major issues. The experience was an eye-opener in a way that I was able to strengthen my belief in the importance of a thoroughly planned business.
Entrepreneurship has never been selfish; every crevice in a situation is considered because we are trying to bring something out to the world. It is an instrument of innovation and responsibility.

How are the services in your available printing facility in terms of efficiency?
It is not that quite efficient as there are times that they are not available. For example, their printer is not working or they are close for the day but you needed to print your file already.
I'd say the efficiency of my go-to printing facility is excellent. They deliver high-quality prints quickly and use the latest technology.
Have you noticed a printing facility near the center of the campus?
Aside from the printing facility in the market, none.
Yes. It's technically inside the campus, but it's quite a distance from my usual routes.
Did you avail any printing services today? How was the experience in terms of costs, time consumed, and travelled distance?
The distance is quite far and the price is not that friendly.
Yes, I did use a printing service today. In terms of costs and time consumed, it was quite efficient - the prices were low and the service was quick. The only downside was the distance, as it's quite far from the main building where I usually have my classes.
Do you have a separate budget for printing of handouts (student outputs, modules from teachers, etc.)?
None.
No, I don't have a separate budget specifically for printing handouts. Instead, I directly deduct these expenses from my regular allowance. It's a part of my overall spending plan.
Does your instructor/s require you to print handouts?
Yes.

Do you print your own handouts or ask your friends to print them?
Sometimes, I need to ask my friend to print it. Sometimes, I need to walk a distance to accomplish my task.
I prefer to print my own handouts. I find it more convenient and it allows me to manage my own time and resources better. Plus, it gives me the flexibility to print exactly what I need when I need it.
Do you know or have you heard of anyone with the same sentiments about printing as you?
Yes.

Have you ever heard your friends or blockmates complain about printing your handouts?
Yes.
Yes. It seems like the issues of cost, time, and distance are common concerns among us.
How do you feel about needing to print a document that needs to be printed immediately in a particular moment?
It is frustrating to be stressed on that kind of thing.
It can be quite stressful when I need to print a document immediately, especially if it's for a class or a submission. The pressure of making sure it prints correctly, coupled with the worry about whether the printing facility is available or not, can be challenging.
What would you probably be worried about if your activities or handouts are not yet printed?
The deadline.
If my activities or handouts are not yet printed, I'd probably be worried about not being prepared for my classes. I might be concerned about not having the necessary materials for studying or for completing assignments.
How will you solve your problems concerning printing and photocopying?
Not sure, but the best thing (but expensive) I guess is buying your own.
I'd make sure to prepare and finalize my documents well in advance so I don't have to rush at the last minute. If distance is a problem, I might look for closer alternatives or even consider investing in a personal printer if it's within my budget.

As a psychology student, I found it remarkable that there is an available tool that can map out a visualization of the attitudes and behaviors of a business's users. Truly, entrepreneurship isn't a one-way communication from the entrepreneurs to the target market but a two-way one. One of the factors that can determine the success of a business is whether or not you can listen to your customer.

Hypothesis
If the services successfully solve the problems experienced by the target market with printing and photocopying (in terms of distance), then the target market will be more comfortable availing the service at a closer proximity.
Definition of the Hypothesis
The interviews were conducted at Central Mindanao University, wherein 24 participants in the target market—students with issues concerning printing and photocopying—were randomly chosen to respond to five (5) interview questions. The aim of this interview was to confirm the formulated hypothesis and gain additional insights on the problems perceived by the target market.

24 interviews were conducted to confirm the hypothesis. The questions consisted of four open-ended questions and one close-ended question about: struggles encountered in daily student life, whether or not they experienced problems pertaining to printing and photocopying, the measured difficulty of such problems, solutions they would provide if they had the capacity, and whether or not they are willing to avail of our proposed service.
The study found the following data mentioned by the respondents:
The CMU Market is the only common location in the extensive campus providing printing and photocopying services. The problem is that it is located far away from the college buildings.
There is a need for efficient and nearby printing and photocopying services, considering circumstances such as school documents requiring urgent printing, forgetfulness, and the availability of time.
It is beneficial if the service includes office supplies.
Some printing shops are more costly than others, and not all students own printers.
To conclude, the proposed service is appropriate for filling the gap in distance, availability, and efficiency for accessing printing and photocopying services needed by the target market.

I was able to interview four (4) participants from the target market. Here are the questions asked and their responses.

What struggles do you encounter in your daily life as a student?
My number one problem is a lack of printing services offered near the colleges. It cannot be avoided that some papers need urgent printing, or such things as forgetting to print documents.
Communication. As an irregular student, I find difficulty receiving announcements/updates from other sections I have classes with. I face unfavorable situations not knowing any updates from my classmates; I would guess they have their own GCs without me in them to discuss about those matters and I would not be notified.
Our building is very far from other school buildings and the motorelas take a very long time to arrive for me to ride.
Most of my problems are about money or budgeting, and academic responsibilities such as studying.
Have you encountered problems concerning printing and photocopying?
(Interviewer did not raise this question as #1’s concerns already align with the identified problem).
My problem is that printing takes a very long time because many students avail it. I mostly have my documents printed in CMU Market.
Yes, but not that much. I ask favors from my classmate to have my papers printed and pay for them.
None. My roommate has a printer I can borrow.
On a scale of 1 to 10, rate the difficulty of the printing and photocopying process inside the campus.
8 out of 10. CMU Market where printing services are available is very far.
7 out of 10. It is a waste of time walking back and forth.
7 out of 10. The struggle I have is when my classmate runs out of paper.
8 out of 10. If my roommate's printer is unavailable or broken, I go to CMU Market to have them printed, and the market is far.
If you had the capacity to provide a solution to this matter (suppose you wield a magic wand), how will you solve it?
Printing services should be offered at least in every college canteen for convenience.
Have my own printer.
As a resident of a CMU dormitory, I would make printing available in the dorm.
Buy my own printer, or have printing services in the college building.
What if we offer a solution that will make printing and photocopying more convenient (such as offering a service that allows you to request assistance in printing)? Will you be willing to avail our service?

Sheets of Wisdom
I got to learn the following fragments of truth that I will bear throughout this journey:
Customer relationship. Business is impossible for one-man teams; it takes a conversation between two or more people to unite their similarities and settle their differences, all in order to make the world a better place. Although our team has already conceived a plan for a business venture, allocating time to interview our target market must not be disregarded. It is the convergence of both the entrepreneur's and the customer's perceived concerns that allows ideas to attain efficiency to prosper.
Team. It is mutually understood among the team that camaraderie, patience, and trust are essential virtues for a successful and groundbreaking business venture. It is also of utmost importance to understand each other and utilize each member’s skill set to keep productivity flowing.
Entrepreneurship is no easy feat, even at the beginning, but it is fulfilling.
