So. Doc's certificate license thing has his graduation year at 1960. It usually takes 10-12 years to college to become a doctor. 12 years would make him start in 1946. He would be racing while in school.

Doc on the crew chief stand in Cars 1 and 3. He looks so different in the second one, the paint especially. He doesn’t have the “Fabulous Hudson Hornet” paint, and it might be the lighting but it also seems rather faded and his chrome doesn’t seem so shiny anymore. He also looks pretty sad in his eyes?

I wonder if the second pic was shortly before he died…
