it was genuinely getting harder and harder to watch the men’s side since the news broke out all those years ago. embarrassing results and table placements get forgotten with time but i hope this never gets forgotten. its shameful. from the club, the board, the manager, the players and the fans who kept defending him and shunned the fans protesting at the stadium

obviously the timing of all of this is suspicious - why does it take for him to be released by the club to be charged? how much shielding was the team and their legal department doing for him? how much of this was an open secret in the team, even as he was selected for squads and put into social media content and thanked by players?

fundamentally this club is rotten top to bottom from the owners and executives that were willing to continue to pay him to the manager who backed him in public “for everything he’s been through” to the players who were chummy with him and those fans who attacked anyone who disagreed with how the club has dealt with this man. we can never forget that this happened and in this way
