Longtime no see guys!! Over the last few months I've become really into age regression/ABDL (yes I know they r diff things I just like both) so I thought it'd be cute if I combined that and pooltoys!!!

The reason behind her name is bc I thought their color pallate looked a lot like Fluttershy's, but I didn't want them to be the same thing. So then my mind went to butterflies, then butter, then butter mints!! Which also match the color pallate!!!!!

I whipped this together in like 1-2 hours but agh!! She's so cute!!!!! And just like me fr :3

Hey yall!! Sorry it's been awhile. Between school, work, and crafting I've been slammed since August started (ToT) However!! I've been seeing these balloon animal themed plushies pop up at Walmart, and I wanted to share them with yall bc they're so cute and I think you guys would love them :]

I first saw them around September bc there's some small 8in Halloween ones :

I immediately scooped up the black iridescent one bc he's so cute!! They have these cutiemark-like details on them that make them Halloween themed :0 the texture is rly smooth but also a little scratchy? Like it's smooth but also a little friction-y. It's hard to describe lol.

I wasn't gonna post about the little guys, since they're, yknow, little, but when I went to Walmart today, I found these giant Christmas themed ones!!!

The dog has earmuffs, the dino has a flannel hat, and the unicorn has a lil scarf! So cute!! As u can see they're pretty big, and they're only $25 each!! I didn't buy one today bc I wanted to think on it first, but I'll def be buying one this holiday season lol. My fave is the dinosaur. His lil hat is just to die for!!!

Anyways, that's about all for this post. The tags might be a lil random since I just want as many ppl to see these as possible bc they're so cute and I think the pooltoy community would love them!! I dub thee, Peanut! Bc he's small and elephants eat peanuts sometimes I think lol

He's vintage and made by Takara! If I had to guess I'd say 1960s/early 70s bc that's when they experimenting making vinyl toys

I've gone down a massive rabbit hole in the last week, mainly concerning the dakko-chan reboots lol (there's so little info on them, even tho they're rly cute and way less offensive than the og???) Might post abt my findings lol idk

THINGS THAT I THINK IT’S IMPORTANT YOU KNOW ABOUT TAKING CARE OF POOLTOYS IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER OR SENSE (TUTORIAL (?)(EASY)):

keep them clean! chlorine, oils (of any kind– body oil/mineral oil included), bug spray, acetone, a lot of these things can wear away at or remove the paint, and eventually ruining the plastic and making it brittle. rinse them with fresh water and soap, then towel dry them. do not air dry them or they will get nasty water spots. wash them when you notice many oily spots. 

overinflation is okay in moderation, do not overinflate and ride! commercially sold pooltoys are typically rated to handle ~80ish pounds, and while they can typically handle a little more than that, past that point they are more prone to breaking, and once a seam pops or splits it can be difficult to get it under control. 

(be careful of sharp things of course, and be gentle on tightly curved negative seams.)

when repairing a pooltoy, always wear protective gear (gloves) and work in a well ventilated area, the vapors released from vinyl glue are toxic and can cause brain and lung damage. 

vinyl glues like loctite vinyl repair and HH-66 vinyl cement will ruin the paint on any pooltoy, and greatly softens the vinyl it is adhering to, making it more fragile temporarily. be careful to not rub, only push down to avoid warping the plastic. 

reuse pooltoy parts! once pooltoys are in the trash that’s tonnssss of plastic just wasted. you can reduce that by reusing old toys that are beyond repair or unwanted! plus, this is the easiest and cheapest way to acquire vinyl for patches and projects. also valves!

i highly recommend heath dragon’s youtube channel, there are tons of videos of projects, tutorials and sooo many toys. sooo many. 

be safe! things like pooltoy suits and other vinyl face coverings can cause suffocation and yknow dying. if you’re gonna be doing anything like that do it with a partner. 

i'll add more if i think of anthing this is really bare bones and i am too inebriated.

Just wanna thank that person that made a post abt a pooltoy oc and mentioned it was based on pooltoys from the 1950s/80s, bc it led me down a rabbit hole of obscure, quirky, little guys that are older than me. And also...

A purchase has been secured :3 these r just pics from the ebay listing, I'll make sure to take cuter ones when I get him!!!

Bit of an impulse purchase but he was p cheap ($30 with shipping) and the only others I could find on the whole internet were on Japanese auction sites from years ago and going for like 15,000 yen (roughly $100) and also HE'S SO CUTE ARHGGH

Also technically not a pooltoy and just a blowup toy but shhhhh he's adjacent ok
