I'm always so curious what people who say they hate musicals are talking about. Like, what musicals are in their mind when they say the phrase "I hate musicals". What musicals have they seen in their entirety. Like, it's always Cats (2019). It's never not Cats (2019), but how could anyone watch that and go "the main problem with that movie is that they were singing." Like, Hamilton maybe or like a Disney one? I can't imagine they've seen a professional stage production of a show. or maybe it's like a noir situation where they've only seen the parody of it and assume what it's parodying is stupid.
