I have so many things to say about the fact that Francis farnsworth has been acting this entire time on the belief that there is no way any of them will survive this. His morality crisis has been pushed to the side because he thinks he’s going to get his just dessert one way or another and none of his actions thus far have been to ensure his own survival. Has he been trying to keep the others alive or would he be fine to see them die? Everything he’s done so far once they uncovered the plan to end the world has been to stop the bisons and save the people of peachyville. He’s been acting on a logistical how can the most people be saved and he never once factored himself or possibly even his friends into that equation.

oh so the same episode francis mentions he’s desperate for a father figure in blake, blake gets an intense ptsd fear of guns. meaning he can’t even look at francis for too long. okay. yep. that’s fine. totally wouldn’t cause francis to perpetuate his view of himself as a monster not deserving of love. the literal replacement of his humanity is something that others fear. woo.
