That explains what happened to that [first] Legacy of Kingdom Hearts video~
Do you have a cut off date for your videos you consider relevant? I like listening to long form video essays while working in the yard and I know that you've said several of your old videos don't reflect your current views.

"Peeps" and their over-obsession with LOMO, I search to glob... XD
Love seeing people call me "LO" because they're trying so hard not to say my name like I'm Voldemort or something.
How do I live so rent free in someone's head they're afraid to say my name like it's taboo.
Also they call Mikaila "MO"
How do you function being this crazy?

Hot take: Big Box PC Games where the box is a little beaten up and torn are more valuable than mint condition boxes.
That's signs that it was played and enjoyed by someone. There's a history to it. It's for the same reason I like finding SNES cartridges where the sticker is torn.
That was done by a curious little kid playing with it. That is important damage to preserve.

I once got into a "debate" with someone (I say that very loosely as it was more of a "no side's backing down anyway" stalemate within a friendship at the time) who spent more time breaking down how great One Piece's worldbuilding was and by extension why its 1000+ episodes are worth watching from the beginning because of it... all while she and many other mutuals between us peddled the same "Kingdom Hearts is too confusing/convoluted/has too many games to play through" excuse for why even my simple and clean explanation of the series' first saga still wasn't worth giving any of the Kingdom Hearts games a[n actual] chance gameplay/music be damned... And to think I came into the series via GBA Chain of Memories, yet stayed for both the gameplay and music as a kid initially and throughout my years growing up and comprehending how great the story is~
(Also, while my enjoyment of Re:Coded stems exclusively from how I used said game to get extra credit during an AP Calculus course in high school gameplay-wise and the OST, I'd much rather play DS 358/2 than DS Re:Coded...) (Also also, maybe it's just me but I fid it very hard-pressed to think of another fun series where you could literally start anywhere in the middle of the ongoing story and said game still goes out of its way to tease the newcomer into wanting to play the other games if they wanted to AND this was all before the Xehanort Saga collection was a thing to buy thus debunking the "too many games on different systems" excuse many still peddle to this day regarding KH...)
Kingdom Hearts' reputation for having a confusing story is wholly undeserved and caused almost entirely by hardcore fans who think that every single spinoff game is ABSOLUTELY 100% MANDATORY because some later game is going to off-handedly mention something from it.
But the truth is that the mainline games have this wonderful narrative device called "Sora doesn't remember anything" as an excuse to summarize anything in the spinoffs.
I promise you, any relevance Missing Link has to Kingdom Hearts IV will be able to be explained in a single expository cutscene. In the same way that all of Union Cross was explained with Xehanort saying "100 years ago, Keyblade Wielders from all over the world had a big fight."
In all honesty, that small amount of story relevance is really just an excuse to play a fun game. The reason to play all 13 games isn't because they're necessary for the story. It's because they're all fun. They're all good.
"Can I play KH3 without any of the other games" YES! YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN! I don't know why you would want to, every other game is also fun (except Re:CoM and Re:Coded), but you absolutely can.
It's strange how Kingdom Hearts is the only game series where this is a problem for anyone. The idea of starting a series at Chapter 1 is not a problem for any other piece of media, but Kingdom Hearts is the only time people go "Eh... do I HAAAAAAAVE to?"

It’s no secret that Rapunzel is my favorite Disney princess and my overall fave.
But even then, I can admit that Tiana deserved to have her own series more than Rapunzel ever did. Because Rapunzel’s story came to an end with her movie and the short film that came as an extra. That is why the series did not really need to answer anything and invented the whole storyline from practically nothing (not a bad thing in itself but that is what they did).
Tiana’s story is still left open as she only now starts to really run her restaurant, facing all the challenges of Orleans in 1920s. Not to mention that Naveen is still the crown prince (taking his right as the older son and heir away would be a lot more complicated and cruel than just cutting him off and making him leave the country for a while so I don’t believe his parents did that). How will Tiana compromise between being a princess and owning a restaurant? How will she and Naveen balance his duties as the heir to the crown? Will she be ready to become queen eventually? Her series would basically write itself. Add some comedy about how a reptile will get used to a life as a member of a human band.
Not to mention, the settings. Tangled is set in your typical anachronistic European fantasy land. Princess and The Frog is set in 1920 New Orleans. There is no question which setting is more unique and which has been done a lot before.
I love and adore Tangled and Tangled Series, but that does not prevent me from knowing Tiana deserves more attention and love from Disney. Tiana was first in line for a sequel to her adventures and the sooner she gets that, the better.

love is not as transient and conditional as some of you guys think it is. when people tell you they care about you, they don’t change their mind ten minutes later because you said something weird or annoying. the people that love you will still love you when you do things that upset them. love doesn’t instantly disappear like that

Recently, we lost another sister to violence.
Ashley Burton, a stunning 37 year old trans woman, was found shot to death in an apartment complex within the city of Atlanta, Georgia. She was discovered on April 11th. Her death has been ruled as a homicide.
Ashley absolutely did not deserve the violence committed against her. Sadly, she’s also not the only one.

Within the United States, several polls and reports have been conducted regarding the violence that trans folks face. Over several years of these being conducted, a continuity is found. That being, trans women of color make up the majority of victims affected by violent crime. Black trans women in particular, are the demographic that is most likely to be affected. The most recent report I could find stated that black trans women made up 63% of violent deaths. This number has likely gone up, considering the state of this country and the deaths I have seen reported this past year. Black trans women also face the intersection of being disproportionately affected by gun violence.
It seems that no matter where black people are, we are always at the bottom. There are massive protests and vigils held for trans victims of violence that are white (as there should be!), yet black trans peoples memories are only allowed to live and quietly die within a paragraph on a local news website. I feel that this is absolutely steeped in racism and transmisogynoir. @soulbunni on twitter has a poignant commentary regarding this disparity.

With the horrifying amount of bills passing through states right now, and spreading through the rest of the country like a disease, we need to keep in mind the overlap between where most of the black population is, and it’s in red states. I’m begging white trans people to advocate for their black siblings. I’m also begging cis black people to put an arm out to protect black trans women in our communities. This includes those of us that are TME!!!!!!!

Ashley still had a beautiful life ahead of her. She seriously didn’t even look close to her age! Even though there’s not much information about her right now, I hope we can learn more and continue to value her memory. Ashley, you deserved the world. Rest in power 💕🏳️⚧️

If it is what I’m think this is truly referring to, then I remember relating to both asks for different reasons... The issue with Alie’s character was something that I still struggle with today as it wasn’t my fault for whom I’ve connected with the most in spite of some connections later proving to be fruitless to me mentally rather than sooner... And yet some of those meaningful connections are as deep as they are because there wasn’t a single moment where I didn’t feel welcomed nor the urge to not stop being myself in-full~ I still related and concur with the appreciation ask as you’re more than just the longest content creator I still follow out of YT, but one where I want to watch and rewatch each current vid before settling down with a comment rather then just say a quick-set of nothing only rivaled by a “good job” quote, someone where I know I’m seen even if not literally (except that one time where I did turn around, that’s on me), and just someone I will never stop sharing your content beyond just out of respect and showcasing my support even when also relating to being told that such positive efforts both for one’s self and towards said content produced was and still is worth it overall~
life is miserable. Tell us a really silly, heartwarming story
Last year I got a message about an issue with Alie's character that was too late in the story to fix. I told the asker I'd make a point to not repeat the issue the next time I wrote a character like her.
There was then an ask from someone else expressing appreciation for that response and told me they felt safe in my spaces, and I was unprepared for the way that message hit me. I was crying like a little bitch for an hour.
That was perhaps the nicest thing anyone ever said to me.
Anyway that's how I found out that childhood abuse had left me always assuming the worst of myself and that despite my insistence otherwise, I really needed to hear someone tell me I was good enough and that my efforts to better myself were paying off.

Boiling political conflicts down to Us vs Them to strip them of their context and act like the problem is too much "division" is the purest form of cowardice.
It isn't Us vs Them
It's White Supremacists vs Literally Everyone Else.
There's no bipartisan solution to "Genocide" vs "No Genocide."
