SR-71 backs away from the tanker after having taken on fuel.

🌟🌟Note the fuel smears near the air-to-air refueling receptacle and some leaking from the fuel tanks on the wings.

Fuel leaking from the SR-71 was usual as the airframe had to cope with expanding and contracting due to the wide range of temperatures the aircraft experienced. The Blackbird used special fuel called JP-7 that was created to be extremely hard to ignite due to the high temperature (350°F) the fuel attained at Mach 3 cruise.
