W-well I...

It...could be. In some circumstances. However one could just as frequently ask a friend or a companion to dine with them with no deeper meaning. Even an enemy or a rival, there's nothing odd about that. It's a perfectly normal thing to do.

It's hardly like asking someone to dinner is proposing to them or anything. Perhaps you merely want to...give them a chance and get to know them better - or something of the sorts. Enjoy their cooking and show off a skill you've been practising - sign language, as an entirely random example, so that you can enjoy seeing them smile....or something. I don't know.

It's not a strange or inherrantly romantic thing to do! I've eaten meals with lots of people!
