Why You Would Need To Read These Three Books before Investing In Real Estate
There are many books on real estate investing out there. Some are written to educate the reader, and others strictly for monetary gains. Not all books that claim to be about investing in real estate will help you make more money. In fact, many of them contain information that may not be useful to your particular situation. In this article, I discuss how my two books and one of the many others I have read shaped my investment style and given me some insights that will boost your investment career .In addition, you could read other titles out there to increase your knowledge. As an investor, I found that real estate works well when we feed our minds with knowledge and psychological nourishment. As such, it is a good idea to grab some psychology and relationship books to keep your investment morale in check and equip you with much needed interpersonal skills. You may not know it, but real estate involves lots of human to human interactions.

Why Do Contractors Lie? by J.O.A Maurice
Yes, why do contractors lie? This is an age old question that I get asked all the time since writing this book over 2 years ago. Interestingly, I have had opportunities to engage investors and contractors on this lying issue, and I have come to the conclusion that there is no one specific answer why contractors lie. Some answers included ‘we lie because investors are ignorant about the business they are in’. Other answers included lying to keep the work flow coming. However, in my extensive research, I found that some contractors may not even pinpoint the reasons many of them lie.  One even told me it is like asking men or women why they cheat. The answers are not as simple and clear cut as some people may think. In many cases you have to dig deep to find answers or know the reasons for the various lies. This is where my book comes in.
In Why Do contractors Lie?, you will learn both proactive and defensive mechanisms of identifying when contractors start to lie and how to manage the lies, in case you inadvertently hire the wrong ones. Most importantly, the book will inform you how to avoid the lying contractors and only hire the right ones for your jobs. Get a copy of this book from the various outlets listed at www.contractorcure.com. Why Do contractors Lie?, is a book you cannot afford not to have if you wish to be an astute and successful residential real estate investor.

How To Win Friends And Influence People by Dale Carnegie.
As many people who have ventured into real estate in one form or another will attest, the work involved from buying, rehabbing, renting or selling a property covers many aspects of relationship building and collaboration with other professionals for a successful completion of a project. In his book, How to Win Friends And Influence People, author Dale Carnegie recognizes Real estate as a relationship business whose foundation requires a new investor to cultivate the confidence necessary to put themselves out there, every day, to perform all their functions. Meticulous interactions with all the stakeholders is necessary for a successful completion of a real estate project. Dale opines that an investor could possess all the technical acumen in the world, but if they are unable to clearly communicate their ideas, they may experience a myriad of difficulties, including total failure.
Closing thoughts
While there are many books on the subject of real estate investing out there, these three titles offer excellent advice on how to get started and thrive in real estate investing when you follow some laid out procedures  as explained in  simple and easy to understand ways in these books.
