I love having random ass headcanons for the cookies- this is basically just Burning Spice and Mystic Flour bc they are stuck on my brain right now and I typed this at like 2 am so it may be messy oops-

Like yknow what Mystic Flour has aphantasia. Shadow Milk will be vividly describing an idea for a play and she'll have to sit down with a notebook and pen to draw everything out so she has the slightest clue what the fuck is going on. If you ask her to do a complicated equation in her head no paper allowed she'll slap you across the face.

Redemption arc Mystic getting more comfortable with showing her emotions wouldn't be her magically emoting more but instead shes basically adding tone indicators to everything she says. She'll have almost the same exact face and tone saying "I am having a lovely time with you" and "You are seriously irritating me right now. Go away." She'll still be straight to the point just a little bit more open with what she means.

Based on her defeat animation + the lore we have for her she has a tendency to web herself anytime she gets hurt and/or anxious. Someone will jump from around a corner to scare her and instead of screaming or jumping her arms are all covered in webbing and now she has to cut herself out again thanks a lot -_-*

Mystic Flour got so used to other cookies using her/not even caring about her existence as a fellow cookie that she is very slow to pick up on genuine compliments from others. (The other beasts are an exception. She has known those bastards since forever, but the whole lot of them RARELY ever express anything genuine anyways so thats a rare occurrence as well.)

Mystic just casually gaslights people (whether this is on purpose or not nobody knows). Someone will comment on her doing something different and her instinctual response is to say "what do you mean? I have always been this way." its even worse if shes embarrassed about something. No matter how hard you push she will deny deny deny, even if you shoved photographic evidence in her face she will INSIST that could be anyone, do you know how many shapeshifters there are in this world? She's good friends with one and he happens to love pulling a good prank or two. She is definitely being framed. You are crazy. Insane even.

Burning Spice was/is a MASSIVE hobby hopper. He has tried everything at least once, an absolute jack of all trades but nobody knows just because he doesn't talk about any of his old interests and as a beast he's only focused on destruction and warfare and the likes. During his forced redemption arc since he literally can't pursue such violence anymore he immediately falls back into his old habits.

Somebody will walk by like "Oh I know Mystic Flour is good at knitting so I was gonna ask is she had any advice on how I could get better at crochetin-"

"Your tension is WAY off. Give it."

"???"

100% would be the type where you get up at 2 am to get a glass of water and here's the bastard in the kitchen making 57 different variations of bread just because he couldn't/wouldn't sleep

(Bonus: Pure Vanilla makes the mistake of getting him a few cookbooks to help nourish the interest and now everyone has to deal with Golden Cheese constantly shoving new dishes at them in a futile attempt to save her rapidly declining kitchen space.)

Burning Spice is bad at vocalizing how something is carried out, he's more of a teaching by example type + the muscle memory kicks in which is also helpful in demonstrating what he means. (kinesthetic learner for the win!!)

Shadowmilk is actually a lot taller than he portrays himself, he used to be way shorter but with the new bodies he's about the same height as Eternal Sugar. After all the beasts saw each other again/when Shadowmilk was giving everyone the "we are BEASTS >:D" debrief everyone was basically like "get your ass back down there" so he's shapeshifted down to only a few inches taller than when he was the fount of knowledge (and thus the shortest of all the beasts + ancients alongside golden cheese)
