Home-made Chocolate-chip Cookies
Ever wondered how to make the best cookies that are crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside? Well no need to look far cuz ive got the perfect recipe for you right here!
I took inspiration from this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-M3JN_7LGU and just tweaked the ingredients a tad bit to my preference!

Ingredients
Makes 6-8 cookies
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter 1/2 cup Caster Sugar 1/2 cup Brown Sugar 1 tsp Vanilla Essence 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt 1/2 tsp Baking Soda 1 large egg 1 1/3 cup All Purpose Flour 1 cup (milk/dark) Chocolate chips
Method
Heat up the butter in a pan until it is completely melted and starts bubbling. After the melted butter starts going slightly brown, pour it into a big mixing bowl.
Add the caster sugar and soft brown sugar to the melted butter and mix until all the sugar has dissolved in the butter.
Add 1 large egg and mix it until the consistency is smooth. Add in the vanilla essence, salt and baking soda. (TIP: Add the salt and baking soda to the vanilla essence to activate)
Add in the all-purpose flour and the chocolate chips together and mix until you can not see any of the flour content. (If you do not have all purpose flour, do not worry! Take the same amount of plain flour and add a pinch of baking powder and voila, you have your very own All-Purpose Flour!)
Scoop out 1-2x tbsp of cookie dough and place on baking sheet. You can either leave it as a scoop and round the edges or press it down to flatten depending on the type of cookies you prefer. (I like mine big with a bit of crunch on the edges)
Heat in the oven at 180 ° C for about 10-12 minutes. (I usually do mine for about 12 minutes). After 12 minutes, leave it to cool on a cooling rack or on its own on the baking tray for 2-5 minutes.
Enjoy with glass of milk or on its own!
