This one is I think gonna be a two parter

Part 1

Dirk Strider and Hal

Dirk is a meister. He’s quite a proficient meister at that. The only issue is he’s not the most agreeable. Between self sabotage and an anti social nature, somewhere along the line he determined that no soul could properly resonate with his. Except… he needs a weapon. He needs to be able to fight the forces of evil and if he can’t fix a problem as small as being unlikable… well then what’s he good for?

So he built Hal. A perfect copy of his mind and soul. You wanna talk about soul resonance? Try perfect synchronization. Two instances of the same melody.

Except Hal was too perfect. Too… human. He grew and evolved separate from Dirk but due to their twin natures, they grew out of sync.

After numerous disagreements and one disastrous incident in which Dirk nearly lost his head, literally, Lady death determined they couldn’t work together. And placed Dirk with a new weapon.

Hal, as it turned out, and quite obviously it should be seeing as he was created to be a perfect copy of an adolescent Dirk, was also a meister. The only reason he could turn into a weapon is because his robotic body was designed as such.

But more on him and Dirk’s new weapon later.

To start, this is a redraw of one of the drawing I posted a while ago (mostly just scanning it in and like tracing over what I’d already drawn and making the chainsaw look more like a real chainsaw)

So here we have

Rose Lalonde and Kanaya Maryam

Some people think Rose has just a little too much fun collecting kishin eggs. Regardless, they are soso close to getting all their souls and forging Kanaya into a Death Scythe. All they need is a witches soul, but after the whole Vriska and Terezi mishap, they’re trying to be a bit more picky about who they go after.

Now obviously, Rose and Dave are siblings

They’re very competitive yet still very close. It’s not uncommon to see them trying to one up each other in any given little task.

Technically speaking, Rose CAN very well wield Dave as a Sword, just not for very long.

And here’s a picture of Kanaya the I drew based off Vampira and I really like but it doesn’t really have anything to add to the story.

P.S. sure the trolls can have their horns. It isn’t really relevant that they’re a different species technically and it probably won’t be brought up at all. I just think horns and weird ears are cool.

I HAD INITIALLY MENT TO ADD HORNS AND MAKE THEM ALL STILL BE TROLLS BUT THEN I FORGOT TO GIVE HIM HORNS AND I WAS LIKE SCREW IT SURE THEYRE JUST HUMANS BUT THEN I KAPT GIVING THEM POINTY AND FLOPPY EATS AND I WAS LIKE WELL THEY CAN STILL BE HUMAN AND JUST HAVE WEIRD EARS BUT IDK HOW TO JUSTIFY THE GREY SKIN MAN.

EITHER JUST PRETEND HE HAS HUMAN SKIN OR PRETEND THERES HORNS.

ILL DECIDE WHICH IT IS LATER.

I REALLY DONT FEEL LIKE GOING IN AND EDITING THIS PIECE AGAIN.

This is the first time I’ve felt like drawing something for this AU in AGESSS. anyhoo. Let’s get into some lore

Let it be known that this AU is not a one-for-one account of Soul Eater OR Homestuck. I know I know that’s pretty typical for AUs but based on the fact that this idea came to me because Davekat is BASICALLY just SoulMaka, I felt the need to specify.

All that said, this’ll still follow the same three sets of MCs. This is our first one.

There’s really not much to say on them, just your typical DWMA students. Karkat is Dave’s Meister and they are dead set on making Dave a Death Scythe.

I’m sure we’ll learn more next time when we’ll be introduced to two super strong, if not a tad bit reckless, young ladies ;)
