Mha simultaneously having some of the best and some of the fucking worst abuse representation drives me insane. The way each member of the LoV's trauma and the ways they processed it was (in my opinion) so well made and tragic, just for Horikoshi to not redeem a single one and have all of them either die or go to jail in the bleakest fucking way possible.

I'm going to be so upset if the my hero leaks end up being real.
Not because of any of the ships.
Not because it might feel like a sloppy ending.
But because if the only reason Toga died was for Ochako to get over herself and confess her love to a dude she's apparently been pining for since HIGHSCHOOL I might go a little feral.
Toga deserves to be more than a stepping stone for Ochako.
Seeing Toga give Ochako that final push she needed was a little cute but she deserves to be more than that.
Please don't let her death be for nothing. I haven't been watching this thing since it started for my favorite character to become a footnote in someone else's love story.

There's absolutely no words that can explain how sad these panels make me. Years later Toga is still making sure Ochako got her happy ending even if it wasn't with her

Second Place (final)
You paced back and forth in your room, your black boots making a thudding noise with every step on your wooden floor. The anxiety makes your stomach bubble uncomfortably.
It had been a few days now since…the incident as you’ve decided to call it.
After Lottie had pulled out your pen she and Shauna got into another argument and you told them you needed some time to think.
They both respected your decision and watched you drive off in your shitty little orange car before going their separate ways.
I mean, this shouldn’t even be a choice, right? Shauna was your girlfriend! And yeah, she might have messed up a bit during the last few months, but she seemed more than sorry.
And you always felt so happy with Shauna, like you could block out anything and everything negative around you while you were together.
But Lottie…You’d be lying if you said she wasn’t gorgeous, I mean anyone with functioning eyes could see that. And there was something about her confidence that was so refreshing to you.
Not to mention the fact that she held onto your pen for so long just in case she got the chance to ask you out someday. It was such a soft act that seemed so out of character from such a confident girl.
I mean was it even a choice?
You pick up your phone and go to her contact, it only rings twice before she answers.
“Hey um…meet me at the park?”
Lottie ending
You wait in the park, fiddling with your hands anxiously. The cold air nips at your skin, causing you to pull your jacket tighter around you.
You always loved this park. There’s a large pound in the center that’s usually filled with ducks and geese during the rest of the year, but it’s currently frozen over.
The last leaves stubbornly sticking to the branches of the trees covered in snow make you chuckle.
Your warm breath from your laugh appears in a small cloud.
“Hey, stranger.”
You hear from behind you making you spin around.
“Lottie…hi.”
The two of you stare at each other for a while before she clears her throat and pushes a strand of her hair behind her ear.
She’s wearing the same pink sweater from the other day, you can still see some mud stains that didn’t wash out as easily.
“So…did you call me here to let me down in the cold? Because it’s freezing.”
“Oh god I’m so sorry I didn't even think about-”
“No no no it was just a joke it’s not even that cold.”
The two of you keep standing there as you try to piece together your confession.
Fuck you really should have done this before calling her.
“I choose you.”
You mumble under your breath looking at the frozen grass beneath your boots.
You hear Lottie gasp but decide not to look up, waiting until you get your blush under control before you look at her.
When you do look up you see her charging at you throwing herself at you in a hug while laughing happily.
“LOTTIE WHY?”
You scream out before your back hits the cold fresh snow.
You can feel the snow seeping into your hoody making you shiver but you can’t find it in yourself to push Lottie off you.
“You mean it?”
She whispers against your neck, her warm breath a stark contrast to the cold snow soaking through your hoodie.
“Yes…I pick you.”
You whisper back wrapping your arms around her as the two of you lay in the snow.
“Now let me get up my hoodie is soaked.”
Shauna ending
You wait in the park, fiddling with your hands anxiously. The cold air nips at your skin, causing you to pull your jacket tighter around you.
You always loved this park. There’s a large pound in the center that’s usually filled with ducks and geese during the rest of the year, but it’s currently frozen over.
The last leaves stubbornly sticking to the branches of the trees covered in snow make you chuckle.
Your warm breath from your laugh appears in a small cloud.
Suddenly a pair of arms wrap around your waist.
You immediately recognize the feeling of Shauna’s arms and you lean back against her warm body.
You can feel your anxiety melt away at the familiar feeling while her body shields you from the cold wind.
Shauna tucks her head under your neck, her warm breath tickling against your skin while you reach back to play with her hair as the two of you stand there in silence.
“Hey”
You whisper, your voice shaking slightly in anticipation of the conversation you’re about to have.
You feel Shauna’s hold on you tighten slightly before she echos your greeting.
“Hey”
Neither of you makes a move to pull away, Shauna out of fear that this will be the last time she’ll be able to hold you like this. And you because you’re cold and completely oblivious to your girlfriend’s internal conflict.
After a few more seconds of silence, you hear Shauna whimper against your neck.
“Please don’t break up with me.”
Immediately you turn around and cup her face with your hands. You see the silent tears rolling down her cheeks which are red from the cold.
“No, Shuana sweetie I’m not breaking up with you!”
You mumble out trying to reassure your now sobbing girlfriend as her hands grip onto the fabric of your hoodie tightly.
“Y-you’re not?” “No Shauna…but we still need to talk about what happened.”
She nods whipping her tears away with her sleeves before looking at you with her big puppy-dog eyes.
“C-can we talk in my car? It’s cold”
You nod and follow her to her car. She turns it on and turns on the heat, trying to warm up her hands.
As you walked to her car hand-in-hand you knew everything would be alright somehow.

Second place part 3
Summary: After walking back to your car and seeing Shauna and Lottie fighting both girls try to tell you why you should pick them.
The two of them look up at you and break apart immediately.
And to think you were actually having a fine day until now.
You look over the two of them. Shauna’s flannel is dirty and ripped open. The buttons popped off and flew off somewhere. Her eyebrow is split open, but whether that’s from Lottie or her face hitting the gravel is unclear.
Lottie’s designer sweater was covered in grime making her orchid pink sweater look brown in some spots. You also notice a large bruise forming on her cheek and her split lip.
On the floor next to the tires of another student’s car there was also a chunk of hair that could have come from either of them.
Man, they really tried to rip each other apart.
“What the fuck guys?”
You ask throwing your hands up. You were gone for maybe fifteen minutes and they’ve managed to beat the shit out of each other.
You do a double take and realize the flannel Shauna is wearing is the one you got for her birthday.
Before you can gather your thoughts Shauna shoots up and grabs your hand.
“Please, I know I fucked up. I know I made you feel like you’re second to Jackie but you’re not.”
Shauna rushes out stumbling over her words in her desperation.
Her fingernails dig slightly into the back of your hands as if to make sure that you don’t pull away.
That you don’t leave her.
“I know that I haven’t been the best girlfriend. Actually, I admit I’ve been the worst girlfriend for the last two months but I promise baby from now on everything I do is for you. I won’t even talk to Jackie until I make it up to you!”
Shauna looks into your eyes desperately and you can see small tears forming at the corner of hers.
“I’m just so used to being her shadow you know?” She whimpers out trying to force a smile.
“Back in high school, I was like her sidekick…or like her fucking dog. If she whistled I came running. And I’ve always been so used to that and I just don’t know how to stop.”
She mumbles trying not to cry, she uses the sleeve of her torn flannel to wipe the tears from her eyes.
“I just don’t know how to prioritize other people…how to prioritize you. But I’ll get better! I promise I’ll get better just don’t go.”
You can see the exhaustion in Shauna’s eyes, you didn’t notice them before but now that you’re closer you can clearly see her eyes are bloodshot and there are bags under them.
“Did you sleep last night?”
You ask her gently, forgetting your anger for a moment and feeling worried for your girlfriend.
Shauna shakes her head.
“After you didn’t text back I stayed awake all night in case you wanted to talk.”
She whispers weakly, her voice cracking slightly as she tries to hold back her tears.
The longer you look at Shauna right now the more things start to stand out. The girl standing in front of you looks nothing like your confident, assured girlfriend. She’s looking at you the same way your dog looks at your mom after she catches it getting into the trash.
You can practically imagine her as a brown lab with its tail tucked in between its legs with how she’s looking at you.
Her baby brown eyes were always your weakness.
“Oh please!”
Suddenly Lottie pushes Shauna away, taking her spot in front of you and grabbing your hands as Shauna stumbles trying to regain her balance.
“She can’t treat you the way you deserve. She might have you convinced that all your problems started two months ago but it’s been like this your entire relationship!”
Lottie yells glaring at Shauna.
“Like that time she was supposed to meet your parents but ditched you because Jackie wanted to run an optional practice. Most of the team didn’t even fucking show up! Look it doesn’t matter what she says right now, if you stay with her you’ll always be second place to Jackie.”
Lottie suddenly pulls you against her, wrapping her arms around your waist. You stumble forward pressing you close enough to feel her warm breath over you.
“You remember when you gave me that pen in English 1010 and I never gave it back? I was going to ask you out when I gave it back but I could never figure out the right words so I never did.”
She whispers looking into your eyes.
“And at the restaurant, you asked me how I knew your anniversary and I said it was because that’s the day Shauna got so annoying. I lied, it’s because it was the day I knew I’d lost my chance.”
Lottie mumbles. You can see her fighting off a blush, trying her best to tell you the truth while fighting her embarrassment.
You feel her arms unwrap from you as she pulls a familiar pen out of her bag, holding it out to you.
“So what do you say?”
She whispers softly.
“Do I still get a chance?”

Second Place Pt 2
The next day at school after you park your car you get your backpack from the trunk and you hear someone clearing their throat behind you.
You turn around and see Shauna standing behind you with a sheepish smile.
“You didn’t text back yesterday.”
You close your trunk and start walking towards the building.
“Well then clearly I don’t want to talk.”
Shauna grabs your hand to keep you from leaving.
“Hey, don’t be like that. I told you Jackie needed me-”
“Oh, and that’s just supposed to make it better?”
You ask ripping your hand away from Shauna and taking a step back.
“What about me Shauna? I was waiting for you in that restaurant like an idiot for like half an hour!”
You yell glaring at her while your hands grip tightly onto the straps of your backpack.
“You waited twenty minutes before texting me! The fucking staff was talking about me! Do you know how much of a nightmare that was?”
Shauna had never seen you like this before. Usually, you were so agreeable, you hated fighting with anyone so you’d let people walk over you without batting an eye. Usually, this meant that Shauna would have to stand up for you but she’d be lying if she said she hadn’t used your fear of confrontation to her advantage before.
If she’s honest with herself she’d admit that she thought this would be another one of those times. In fact, she was sure it would be until you left her on read all day yesterday.
She opened her mouth trying to say something, anything to make you calm down, to hear her out just for a moment. But nothing came out.
She didn’t know what she could say to make things right.
She just wanted you to stop looking at her like that.
“I’m….I’m so-”
“Hey babe our date yesterday was amazing!”
You feel a pair of arms wrap around your waist and pull you against them, you recognize the vanilla-scented perfume immediately and try not to blush.
“L-lottie I’m trying to talk to Shauna right now.”
You mumble out feeling her arms pull you closer as she rests her chin on your shoulder.
“Oh, Hi Shauna.”
You can hear the smirk in Lottie’s voice even if you can’t see it.
“Lottie!”
You try to reprimand her again but she gives you that cute little smile and you just shut your mouth and push her arms off you which makes her pout.
When you look back at Shauna she’s glaring at Lottie, if looks could kill Lottie would already be in the last pit of hell having a tea party with Satan.
“What is she talking about?”
Before you can even think about how to explain what happened yesterday Lotti’s already talking.
“Well, I found this cutie all by herself in a booth at that burger place down the street. I heard the staff saying that she’d been there for almost half an hour and I decided to swoop in as her date.”
Lottie smirks looking down at Shauna.
“Since apparently, you had other priorities. I kept your girlfriend company.”
The two of them keep staring at each other; Shauna glaring up at Lottie like she was trying to set her on fire and Lottie looking down at Shauna with an ice-cold smirk.
Before they decide to jump each other you clear your throat to get their attention and they turn to look at you.
“Well this has been fun but I have a class in 10 minutes so I’m gonna go. See you later.”
You speed walk out of the parking lot leaving the two of them alone.
“She’s going to get tired of this Shauna.”
Lottie mumbles while watching you leave.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Lottie scoffs and turns back to Shauna looking exasperated.
“What do you think she’s just going to keep putting up with you? She’s going to get tired of coming in second place to Jackie and then she’s going to leave,” Lottie takes a step closer looking down at Shauna with a determined expression, “And trust me when I say I’ll be waiting.”
Shauna looks up at Lottie her indifferent expression cracking as she looks at her teammate in confusion.
“Lottie, what the fuck do you think you’re saying to me?”
Shauna growls out through clenched teeth, Lottie might be taller but she’d be damned if she let something like that intimidate her.
“What I’m saying is that one day you’re going to fuck up beyond repair. And I’m going to be there to show her an….alternative.”
If there’s one thing anyone and everyone would agree with about Shauna Shipman. One overall defining characteristic that was universally agreed upon. It would be her temper.
This is the last thing Lottie Matthews thought before Shauna’s fist made contact with the side of her face.
But if there’s one thing almost nobody knows about Lottie Mathews unless you were on a soccer team with her for years. Or if you were ever in an unfortunate enough position to have fought her.
Is those things that would normally take other people out of commission like kicks, falls, twisted ankles, and in this case punches.
All those are things Lottie can shake off with a little adrenaline.
This is the last thing Shauna Shipman thought about before getting tackled to the ground by Lottie Mathews.
The two of them roll around the parking lot for a while, Lottie pinning Shauna down for a moment before Shauna manages to get a fist full of Lotti’s hair and pull her off.
Meanwhile, you’re happily skipping back to the parking lot after your teacher didn’t show up. But the closer you get, the more screaming you hear. Finally, you turn the corner, and you see Shauna and Lottie rolling around the gravel.
“Guys what the fuck?!”
