I just remembered something that happened last year, and it gave me an idea of which goddess I would choose for my Dislyte persona.

Since I was a kid, I always liked bees a lot. I just like the fuzzy fellas and the way they live in such an organized community. Of course, that meant I would catch them, then immediatly let them go, just like every bug-catcher. And whenever I saw one on the floor, I would grab it carefully and bring it to a safer place, not wanting it to be stomped.

However, last year something happened and I just noticed how much of a risk I went through hours later. I was walking out of college, when I saw a group of girls screaming. Of course, I approached to see what they almost stepped over, and I saw what I assumed to be a big bee/a wasp. I just put my hand in front of it, letting it climb, then brought it outside, seeing it fly off right after.

When I was telling my family the story, I finally understood what that was. It was a fucking hornet. I dead-ass had a hornet on my hand and acted like everything was dandy, bringing it outside as if I was Snow White or something.

With that, I came to the conclusion that Melissa/Melissae, the goddess of the bees in Greek Mythology, would 100% be(e) what my Dislyte persona is based off.

I just think that it's absolutely incredible how there is a bee goddess, and I am in love.

because of all the discussion around genshin's racism and natlan, i decided to fully document every dislyte character for more accurate comparison since the old image is 2 years out of date. this is important because both games are chinese and cater to a global audience -

even among pale skin, there's more diversity! there are darker toned east asian and european people! it's not PERFECT (some of the furries were left out because there's no evidence of their original forms) but good god is it leagues ahead of genshin. stop making excuses for mihoyo
