          when she hears what could only be 2d crashing downstairs, noodle looks up, expectant. but, she did not anticipate a GIFT. she sits up and puts down her phone,  (  catch you later, candy crush  ) and gives him a grin. she grabs the box, placing it on her lap and recognizing the . . . distinctive smell of 2d’s room. secretly she hopes and prays that whatever’s under the wrapping paper didn’t come from his stinky floor. noodle does appreciate the EFFORT though. she’s not much better when it comes to gift wrapping. too finicky          she usually buys those boxes made to look like wrapping paper, the ones with the bows on top.  “ ooooo!! ”  tongue peeking out between her lips in concentration, noodle opens the wrapping paper quickly, but with care. she’s shocked to find a BOX inside. not just any box, but a dress box from MOSCHINO.                     for once, noodle’s lost for words. she can’t even believe that 2d walked into any boutique without her!! she looks from the box to 2d to the box again and lets out a LITTLE SQUEAL. she sets the box beside her on the sofa and pulls up the lid. inside is a DRESS. noodle hops to her feat and pulls out the dress  (  a jersey dress, how cute  )  and holds it against her body, immediately examining and admiring herself in the reflective surface of the dormant television screen.  “ toochi! it’s perfect! ”

          HE’D BEEN OUT ALL DAY, his scatter-brain lead him into the most expensive and luxurious places while still adorning a sweaty && ripped plain white t-shirt with tracksuit bottoms that looked FAR TOO BIG to even fit around his tiny waste – foreshadowing the fabric falling to his knees quite a few times on his JOURNEY, leaving his fashion sense tainted and dignity lost to the LACED PANTS he wore beneath his BAGGY trousers. BUT A RAY OF HOPE MOST DEFINITELY DID COME OUT OF THE BOMBARDMENT OF EMBARRASSMENT INTERTWINED WITHIN THE FIVE HOURS, a true blessing of utterly astonishing measures… A PERFECT PRESENT. Stu swiftly shuffled his way back home and awkwardly scooched through the doorway, trying to AVOID Noodle’s shifting gaze as soon as he ever so quietly undid the lock – before he scrambled through his dresser mixed with everything from packets of painkillers to MOLDY TOOTHBRUSHES, before he finally found the resources he was searching so desperately for.            A FEW PAPER CUTS AND THE FUMBLING OF FIDDLING FINGERS LATER —— it was done !! The packaging was anything BUT special, crumpled and smelling distinctly of old aftershave && tobacco, even some DUST was sprinkled on top as if it replicated the effect of icing sugar upon cakes — but it also had a homemade charm to it that he JUST KNEW Noodle would appreciate !  HE SCRAMBLED DOWNSTAIRS, ( almost tripping over himself, due to his overwhelming excitement ) and carefully placed the delicate box in front of Noodle’s GAPING EYES - a short ‘ TA DA ! ’ was released from 2D’s stuttering mouth before his jittery frame kneeled to see her reaction.           “ I ‘ope yew LIKE THIS Nood !! I spent ALL DAY  lookin’ for the greatest piece of fashion I could get m’hands on ! ”           HE WAS SMILING LIKE A MANIC, in retrospect… it wasn’t the most beautiful thing he could’ve gathered, but he reckoned he knew HER TASTES well enough to buy her something decent. HE REALLY HOPED SHE’D LOVE IT – no matter how pathetically cheesy it seemed.
