Episode 3 better win some awards
Seriously, the fandom hasn't been THIS at peace since the second game. I get onto Tumblr, and you'd think the show is about a cottage-core romance in the apocalypse.

Episode 3...again
When I first saw the trailer for Ep. 3 I thought "I'm gonna be so sad when Frank dies." Then Frank took a shower and I was like "I'm gonna be so sad when he dies." Then, the argument happened and I thought "Oh no! He's gonna die!" Then the episode kept playing. All I have to say it this:
THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO BUT THEY DID IT FOR US.

This is actually goldd.
You move into a suspiciously low rent apartment, that’s in some disrepair but not enough to account for the price. It turns out the other occupants are all evil supernatural beings. They set out to torment you, but then discover that you have done more to repair the building than the landlords.

Question About Runaan and Ethari
Okay, I've had this question about these two for a while and decided to come here to see if anyone else has an answer. I've always wondered why, before Runaan and Ethari took in Rayla, they never adopted another child. One answer might be that they simply didn't want kids, but Ethari really seems like the person who would want to start a family.
Another thought that came to me was that maybe they saw Rayla as their daughter. But then I realized that the two took care of Rayla for years before her parents "abandoned" the dragon prince, meaning that Rayla always saw them as close uncles or second dads, but not fathers. And you have to remember that if Rayla's parents came back, she would start living with them. Runaan and Ethari know this and I don't think they would put themselves through the heartbreak of not having a child solely because that's what Rayla was to them.
The third thought I have is that because of Runaan's line of work. He isn't home as much as he would like to be, and depending on how old the child is, say perhaps a baby, this could prove to be a problem. Ethari has a job too. And maybe they feel like if they adopted an older child that they wouldn't be able to give it the love and attention that they would need. That's just some of my thoughts, what about you guys?

Absolutely right. Ethari has done so much and hasn't asked for ANYTHING in return. All he wants is to be happy and that was sadly all stripped from him. This is why he is literally one of my favorite characters. The writers better get their act together for season 5 so we can see 100% of Ethari's devotion to his adoptive daughter, friends, and husband.
Ethari's Strength
Out of all the characters on The Dragon Prince Ethari is the most emotionally resilient.
He became best friends with 3 assassins, knowing full well that they could die young. Then he fell in love with and married one of them even though he knew that there was a very good chance that he would never get a chance to grow old with his husband. He then helped to raise a child who was training to become an assassin all the while being fully aware that he might lose her too. He could have walked away at any time, no one would blame him for doing so. He could have left and found some friends and lovers in safer careers and fields and lived a long, stress and worry free life with them. But he didn't. He stayed and loved those assassins, doing everything he could to help and protect them when they did their duty. He stayed and waited and hoped patiently for their safe return.
And then when the worst happens, when he loses his family he doesn't go to pieces. True, he does get upset at Rayla but he recovers quickly and despite his pain he goes to help her. He gives her his pendant, a symbol of the love he and Runaan have for one another and their pets, making him truly alone in the Silvergrove. He even finds a chance to be playful and humour Callum and his horrific Earthblood impression. He rises above his grief and dedicates himself to helping Rayla save the world, knowing that it may be some time before he sees her again and unsure if his last loved one can ever come home to him.
One of these moments or instances would have broken or bern unendurable for most people but not Ethari. He kept moving forward, soldiering on in even the most heartbreaking moments. He may bend but he will never break.
And now with the time skip we're going to see his strength shine through again. Ethari is going to find Runaan's Heartbloom and he's going to do everything that he can to uncover the truth and when he does he's going to dedicate every waking moment to finding his husband. He'll make every sacrifice, do whatever it takes to get him back and he's going to be rewarded for it.

New Story Idea+Prologue
I'm writing a story loosely based on the lives of the Romanov sisters. The story is called ROSC, after all the girls' initials.(Rosaria, Ophelia, Sophia, and Cheri).
“It’s been so long, when can we go back inside?” Ophelia asked, her long hair outstretched across the grass. The question was directed not to her nursemaid, Lily, but her older sister, Rosaria. Rosaria handed a daisy to their youngest sister, Cheri, before answering.
“Papa said that we have to stay out here until the babe comes.”
“When will it come?” Ophelia whined.
“It shouldn’t be too long now,” Lily said.
“The baby boy,” The two year old Cheri said.
“Why can’t the baby be a girl?” Three year Sophia asked.
“Only boys can lead Terraeste. If it’s another girl then there won’t be a leader,” Rosaria explained. Lily nodded.
“That’s right. That’s why I’ve told you girls to pray for a brother every night.”
“A healthy brother,” Ophelia added.
“Yes, a healthy brother.”
The girls and Lily were outside for another hour before cheers were heard from inside the palace. General John, a close friend of the family, ran to them.
“It’s a boy!” He cried. Lily clasped her hands together and laughed while the girls eagerly clapped, all four of them comforted in knowing that a leader for their kingdom had been secured.

Did You Notice This About Aaravos?
So I noticed, when Aaravos possessed Callum in season 4, when he talked to the Dragon Queen, he says that SHE betrayed HIM. Now, here's the thing, Aaravos does not lie, the creators have confirmed this, another thing I found strange is that Aaravos is SMART, not just cunning, but genuinely intelligent. Meaning, he knows the difference between him betraying the Dragon Queen, and her betraying him. This proves that Aaravos isn't 100% evil, but is more morally grey.

Aaravos
So, I've been researching Aaravos lately and it seems like he's a VERY morally grey character. On the one hand, he's lent a hand to every disaster between elves and humans, but on the other, it's been proven in a canon story on the Dragon Prince website that Aaravos once helped humans in the past when they were suffering. I really can't wait to see what they do with his character.

Why Ethari Is So Devastatingly Tragic
I'm not beating around the bush, Ethari was did so dirty in season four. Think about it, he's been told that his two best friends betrayed their people after he raised their daughter for years, he thinks the love of his life is dead, his surrogate daughter was branded a traitor, and he probably still has to make all the village's weapons. After all of this, he broke the rules and decided to see Rayla again, didn't mind that she brought a human(his enemy) home, gave Rayla his moon opal necklace(the equivalence of his wedding ring, one of the last things he has left of Runaan), and stays in his village to keep making weapons and trinkets because he most likely knew he was needed.
Ethari, an elf that was only in one episode, has been shown to be the most understanding, kind, loving, and persistent person in The Dragon Prince, Ethari did all this just for him to not even be mentioned in the fourth season. Think about it, Callum is a high mage, he could at least ask the foster father of the girl he loves if he's okay. He knows what happened to Ethari. On top of that, even after the war, Ethari has no idea where Rayla is. Ethari is one of the most tragic people in The Dragon Prince because he is completely and entirely alone. Ethari has been that way for the past two years. This is why Ethari is one of my favorite characters. This is also why I have begun to stop caring as much for the other characters, Ethari never stopped living.
When life threw a curveball at Ethari, he kept moving. This elf put one foot in front of the other when he was royally screwed over. This elf deserves his own arc in season five, because God knows he's earned it.

War Of Crimson
Ethari couldn’t lose her too. He hadn’t owned a moonstrider since he lost Runaan, but this was an emergency. He’d bought one, packed his things, and rode off. Through all this, he was still trying to calm himself.
“She’s a 12-year-old child on foot. I’m a grown elf on a moonstrider, I should be able to get to her before she reaches the border.”
But deep down her knew that his chances were low. He had lovingly nicknamed her “Little Ram” for a reason. She had spent a portion of her life in Montes, a village close to the mountains. She’d spent most of her life climbing at deadly heights. Ballari could easily scale a mountain for a shortcut and reach the border overnight. When Ballari climbed, she could defy anything and everything but gravity.
And there were times Ethari swore she could defy that as well.
Ethari couldn’t fathom why she went to go rescue Runaan. It always took her a while to warm to people and she had never even met Runaan. Perhaps she had somehow formed a connection with him because Ethari had talked about him to her. But still, it was unlike Ballari to do something this rash. When she saw Callum for the first time, she screamed. How would she handle Katolis, a place swarming with humans? Even after peace had been settled, there were few elves in human kingdoms.
Oh God, he could see it now. Ballari reaching Katolis and having about seven panic attacks. He tried to shake it from his mind. He would reach her long before she made it to the border. He had to, or else he might have a heart attack.

Possible Ruthari Fanfic?
So I've liked The Dragon Prince ever since season 1. But it takes them a while to get seasons out, season 4 was especially painfully long. The only thing that has kept me in this fandom is Runaan and Ethari. Their romance is so tragic but hopeful at the same time. So I had a fanfic idea:
Ethari and Runaan adopt a half human half elf girl name Ballari, Ballari struggles with the fact that her father is human and wants to become an assassin to prove herself but after she failed the exam to be able to go on the mission with Runaan and the other elves at the start of season one. Well, everyone including Rayla dies, or so they think. When Ballari falls in the fountain and sees Runaan's flower, she sets out that night to find him but winds up taking care of King Ezran and his brother.
Not the final product but what do y'all think?
