Im late to the party, but uhhhh, DOAI au where the entire thing gets completely derailed by alex accidently hitting clyde with his fucking car.

(Ramblings of how it starts under the cut, it got long, so i had to put it under a read mlre LMAO)

It doesn't kill him, but it does fuck him up pretty good. After the freak out and getting out of his car to look does alex realize its not who he has to worry about hitting but what. Like any normal sane person in that situation, naturally, he has a bit of a crash out, and is only stopped when the thing makes a pained noise before going quite again.

Look, alex doesn't play things smart in canon but does have the balls, so like any sane person wouldn't, and maybe with some guilt attatched, he approaches. Has some sense to grab like mb a stick or branch or something to keep some semblance of distance, and the demon does not even twitch when alex jabs it quite a few times. To the point where alex thinks it might actually be dead.

Again, not making smart choices, getting closer to get a better look, and actually reaching for the hood of the costume and in good ol' horror fasion that's when the demon springs up. Alex scrambles back and just barely avoids their face being clawed off but doesnt avoid tripping over that too long tail that almost intinctually wraps around his ankle and digging in, the frantic pulling away to get loose only makes the barbs that had broke thru his pants dig in deeper in the struggle.

The hold doesn't last bc the creature sways after a few tense moments, makes another louder sound of pain before unceremoniously passing back out onto the asphalt, falling face first on the road with a thud. The tail loosens, and alex pries it out of his ankle and scrambles back to the car. Everything in him is screaming to book it the fuck out of there. He should it would be the smart thing to do. Just throw it in reverse and drive like hell before it woke up again-

He stared at the body on the road. Headlights catching bright orange fabric. Call it crazy. Call it guilt- alex cannot in good concous leave them in the middle of the road like roadkill.

So, alex ends up dragging and shoving clyde in the back of his car.

This action changes so much more than anyone could have predicted - including never accepting employment to lankmann.

Anyways, I've rambled long enough. You guys get the idwa by now, lmao. I'll def expand on this as i think of it!
