You will work alongside engineers and designers in our newly formed Digital Media Team to create premiere mobile and web applications for major sports leagues, including MLB, NCAA, and NASCAR. This is a small team of energized individuals who recently shipped the top grossing sports app in the app store in Feb 2014, and is now on point to envision and deliver new experiences for major league baseball and NCAA football.This role will provide senior-level hands-on contributions alongside our team of web, mobile, gaming, and creative leaders. Bringing expertise in mobile and web technologies, your role will be to maintain our existing product-lines (i.e., resolving top customer complaints around audio/video sync in Race Apps; implementing new, configurable sponsorship experiences) and help architect new ones (i.e., how would we visualize the path of a baseball and a player in a real-time using HTML 5; how would we architect a gesture-based iTV ‘hit the pitch’ experience integrated with partner SDKs).Using your expertise in mobile and web architecture, you will create prototypes and products for coaches to use to evaluate players; fans to enjoy; on-air talent to use to tell stories live on TV; teams and analysts to use to evaluate player performance. This could include anything from mobile applications, to touch screen interfaces (on PC and devices), to web-based apps, so well rounded experience across platforms Required: 7+ years developing mobile and web software (preference toward mobile) Strong applied knowledge and experience of C++ and object oriented design Track record of producing end-to-end consumer products for iOS and Android Strong experience working with app stores and understanding the nuances, options, and requirements of publishing apps in the stores Extensive experience designing complex mobile experiences – i.e., that require subscriptions and in-app purchases; that deal with combinations of push and pull content; that integrate multiple moving parts Experience with and understanding of a wide variety of mobile SDKs (social, advertising, mobile, performance monitoring, stats, etc.) and how they can be best leveraged in applications. Includes keen understanding of when to integrate and when to write your own code) Experience monitoring back-end architecture and systems and tooling performance of mobile and web apps (i.e., monitoring crash logs and suggesting improvements) Experience integrating with other systems and vendors to deliver final product (i.e., 3rd party data providers and distributors; AWS; CMS; etc.) Experience publishing builds (to staging servers and live sites); managing engineering details of releases; resolving live site issues on the fly; etc. Experience providing architectural leadership to refactor existing software and building applications from scratch Experience in engineering using Unity 3d, Unreal, CryENGINE, or other 3D graphics engines Experience with Graphical User Interface Design and implementation Familiarity with web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Apache) and MySQL Familiarity with designing for complex browser matrixes and versions (Firefox, Chrome, IE) and Desired, but Not Required: Experience with Amazon Elastic Cloud (EC2), and Relational Database Services (RDS) Experience integrating industry standard SDKs into apps such as Coherent, Crittericism, FreeWheel; Prime31; TestFlight; Omniture; etc. Experience with OpenGL, Qt, or other UI toolkits Experience with Agile or XP development modelsExperience with Flex, Flash and ActionScript 3.0 Experience developing real time data or media streaming applications Experience with Ruby on Rails Experience with build tools such as Maven, ANT Experience with iOS, Android, Titanium, PhoneGapTest Driven Development (TDD) and Agile development process Experience with Java, .NET, C#, SQL programming Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as JQuery, AngularJS, three.js, Underscore, Backbone Experience with HTML tools such as Yeoman, Grunt, Sass, LESS Game, film, TV graphics or broadcast video experience
