Who are all the planned members of team miraculous in lady luck and have you already planned who gets the remaining miraculous?

I have mostly planned out who gets the remaining Miraculous! Though it's entirely subject to change as I may come up with ideas before I get there. The main five were pretty solidly planned from the get-go and there's a few I had specific ideas for, but the rest of the Zodiac has been shuffled around a few times in the notes.

That said! I do plan to keep them semi-secret until I reveal them in either their debut chapter or their art. So far the only one staying is Juleka as Queen Cobra!

So just recently stumbled across your lady luck work and I've got to say it's great but I want to ask what was the thing that made you Mylene as the turtle miraculous holder not that I'm complaining but just want to know why.

Ohoho! Okay so there were two factors that I use for my choices in a Kwamiswap!

First factor: Who is handing out the Miraculous?

This is typically whoever has the Ladybug. But the idea is that the person who has the Ladybug will choose people closest to them and work outward.

Like Marintte in Canon, her first choices are Alya and Nino. Then swinging over to Adrien. So on and so forth.

Now there are some circumstantial ones. Chloé getting the Bee, Kagami getting the Dragon, etc. But for the most part that's Mari's choices.

And there are some combinations. Like Marinette has come to trust Luka and would choose him soon, but he got the Snake because he was there and available.

Anyway!

These are applied to the Lady Luck universe too. However, there is a factor that starts to fuck with things: Chloé's lack of close connection.

Oh she'd choose Adrien and Sabrina first if she can(here she can't because Adrien is already Chat)! But the rest of the class.... well. It's kinda even off the bat.

Unless we add in the story. Like her getting closer to Marinette, therefore Marinette ends up in the Main Five. (Mari is actually a combo of 'knowing' and 'coincidence' which is why she was added before Sabrina but anyway)

Though she wasn't hanging out with Mylene, Mylene was part of the arcs. Mylene was the first Civillian that Lady Luck saved that made her feel like a Hero. The incidents in Horrificator made her realize that even if she's trying to say something true, it can still hurt people and she has to take responsibility for that. She /does/ take responsibility, and Mylene is the first person she tries to figure out how to apologize to and over-explain her thought process and show that she has no idea what she's doing but she wants to do better. And Mylene was receptive and willing to work with her!

So when it comes to who, after Adrien, Sabrina, and Mari, it is that Chloé would choose as someone she trusted to be a Hero (especially with Chloé's weird feelings on trust), Mylene is one of the first options.

On to factor two for my Kwamiswap rules; Talent or Arc.

When I give people the Miraculous, I tend to look at the power and the person and wonder if this is something that plays into their talents, or something that helps them learn and grow as a character.

Marinette being given the Fox leans into her Talent. Marinette is a brilliant and creative artist, which leans well into the Fox's power of Illusion.

Sabrina being given the Bee, on the other hand. She's someone who needed to relearn how relationships work. That it's about vibing with the group, not serving a single person. Though everyone brings their own skills to the table, everyone /does/ bring a skill.

Mylene and the Turtle is more similar to the latter. She expresses frustration with her cowardly nature, and wants to be braver. But her motivation for this is not shame from her fear, instead it is because she very much wants to protect her friends. Protection is the basis of her motives, so what better choice than the Turtle?

What was your opinion of The Ruler? What do you have planned for Nathaniel’s parents in Lady Luck?

I doubt I'm going to get around to them any time soon in LL, but they will be appearing soon in HC as this episode is getting yoinked ahead a season!

They are going to be pretty similar to Canon though I will be less metaphorical about the gay stuff lmao.

I will admit that I am building off Dollighful's Dragon series for how to built the modifications of wings, tail, legs, etc. because, well. Ariel /is/ a Dragon.

Also have a bonus Korok I made to test out how the Apoxie works.

He gets. theoretically, why Marinette made the decision to lie to his Canon Counterpart. Marinette is trying to do what she thinks is right and sparing her bf more heartbreak sounds good in theory,

But he very much wants to pull her aside and insist she tell him the truth

What did you think of the miraculous London special? What do you have planned for Lady Luck London special?

oh boy it.

I've typed a LOT on my main and in the discord re: everything current ML is doing which is. A hot mess.

Short version is that it was a half-assed redemption arc that claims to not even be a redemption because 'clearly he was good the whole time and that makes every atrocity okay!' not to mention that even if you call it redemption it's not even atoning he just commits suicide to avoid the consequences of his actions.

Keeping Adrien in the dark is such a bad move for several reasons. Whether it be general 'he deserves to know the truth and decide for himself how to feel about it because he deserves basic respect and autonomy' or a 'if he doesn't know those rings are his Amok he's not going to be as careful as he should be'.

Also it's bullshit that Gabe can be a whole ass supervillain and Felix can conduct a genocide and be called 'good people worthy of redemption' but Chloé is a mean teenager and that means she deserves Hell.

And I'm hoping that Season 6 will have these decisions bite everyone in the ass, but I'm also putting on my clown shoes.
