TRY AS HE MIGHT PARKER BARELY UNDERSTOOD THE NOVA FORCE. He knew next to nothing about it and part of him wanted to keep it that way. To keep himself distant from Richard, but even he knew that there would come a time where such a task would be impossible. To where even attempting to do so could no doubt cause far more trouble than it was ultimately worth 

However, through it all, he knew what it was like; something he couldn’t truly put his finger on, but all the same was there. Something that determined who you were....even when you happened to not be sure what that was at any given moment. Maybe they were far more alike than Parker believed. Not that it truly mattered in the first place... he’d never admit that they were in some ways alike... not even if evidence was staring at him in the face.

A strange question , but one that he understood because well , once upon a time , they knew each other . YEARS ago . He doesn’t turn , no matter how much his body wanted to , always keep your eye on the enemy , Richard - Human . But Rich dismisses Gamora’s voice from his mind , hands settling in his pockets easily , looking upwards at the stars .  ❝ Yes . Energy expelled back to the stars . I’m a walking nuclear bomb . ❞ Rich laughs at that , a quiet , heartbreaking sound . Like he’d forgotten how to express joy . Peter knew the feeling well , didn’t he?

Parker supposed that none if really did matter. He was a scientist once upon a time; before he was labeled a criminal in and out of the suit. He was about to change the world… just before everything went to hell. 

Where he forced himself to become something he didn’t want to. When he made a choice that determined his fate… in all things. Maybe it wasn’t exactly the best, but at the same time? He didn’t think it mattered. Hell, he didn’t think that he needed to care about it either.

Only that he acted… that was about it, truly. That he acted upon what was necessary to himself. Nothing more and nothing less.

“I thought it did once. I thought everything mattered in some form or another, but now? Looking back at things. No, I don’t think that it does or ever has,” he said, rubbing at his chin for a moment. “I suppose the only thing that does matter is that we’re living… specks of dust that has been reused over and over again.”

Quentin didn’t need to be told twice. Knees bent–green smoke billowed around him, and he jumped, coming to hover approximately twelve feet away, far enough that he couldn’t be easily punched but close enough they could talk without much issue.  He wasn’t sure if he had ever revealed his powers to this Spider-Man–so many alternates of himself didn’t have powers it’d be easy to assume he was the same.

He was tempted to taunt him–he was curious just how much force those webs could hold… but he resisted the urge.

 “I don’t know what you want from me.  Why does it matter?  We’re all good and we’re all bad.  Throw away the labels and just be a person.”

“Being a person gets you nothing. It gets you shit on time and time again. Being a person means falling down and being forced to get back up --- no one cares if you’re a person. They only care if you’re doing something flashy.” 

“Or if you throw someone off a building,” he said, taking a step forward. “Take away the labels and we’re all worse off. Truthfully? I hate them more than most, but give someone enough time and the labels become just who the person is.” Or so he thought at least, but even he could be wrong at times.

“Good bad or whatever? All that matters is what you fit into. For me? It’s a villain... for the moment at least.”
