I think gacha games like WuWa, HSR, and my ex-wife Genshin Impact could benefit from a trio of four stars released at the same time. What do I mean?
4-Stars are a necessary element to these gachas but have significantly less characters with their rarity. It’s kind of funny in a way that a new 4-star release is rarer than a 5-star release. Anyway, why not release them in trios? The big reason they’re not released, I imagine, is that they don’t get their own designated banner and so it’s more likely to get some older 4-Star than the new one. Introducing them as trios would eliminate this problem. No matter what 4-Star is pulled, it’ll always be new.
They could even have little stories that intertwine if you wanted to!
But which characters should be given this status? Honestly, I think the rarity status is pretty arbitrary and doesn’t tend to have any rhyme or reason. But let’s take a moment to assume it does have some weird sort of way of working. My thoughts are that characters with higher positions shouldn’t automatically be considered 5-stars. A lot of characters in a gacha game, especially open world ones, are leaders or nobles of some sort because the main character tends to need these connections for the plot. My train of thought honestly leads to characters that have had some sort of impact on the primary story. Characters who can be considered side characters, characters who act as exposition, or brief appearances in the main plot would be considered 4-stars. Meanwhile, the characters who are the archons/emanators/sentinels, or the characters who are by the player’s side since the first quest should be 5 stars.
So by this logic let’s use my ex-wife, Genshin Impact as an example: Hu Tao would be a 4-star, since she doesn’t really make an appearance in the Liyue story quests. She has her own storyline, which was really good by the way, but that’s not the main story for Liyue. Ningguang meanwhile would be a 5-star for having a massive role to play in the main story for Liyue. In Wuthering Waves, Chixia and Yangyang would become 5-stars while Zani would remain a 5-star. This is because these three characters act as the Rover’s confidants for their respective nation stories. As for characters who become 4-stars, Encore and Verina come to mind. Even though I absolutely adore these two, they don’t do very much in the main story. However, there’s a case to be made for Verina to remain a 5-star, considering she recreated the Blake Bloom for Yangyang and Rover.

Heyyyyyy. It’s crk time again lol.
I think Sugar was being honest when she said she didn’t give a crap about the soul jam and only cared about Hollyberry. I think if the beasts, she would’ve ended up being the least threatening if she got her way (at least comparatively, like no world domination).
My reasoning for this has to do with the new costume! Sugar says that she has no use for the garden anymore and no longer cares for the happiness for other cookies. To put it bluntly: she only cares about Hollyberry’s happiness and that’s all. It makes me think Sugar would’ve only stretched her power to the Hollyberry kingdom, considering her big surprise to Hollyberry was transferring people over there.
Sugar is the epitome of sloth. She is the embodiment of escapism. So, to me at least, it wouldn’t make sense that she would go on this big conquest once she gets access to the other half of the soul jam. That would mean having to dig yourself knee-deep into reality, and if Sugar no longer cares for the happiness of other cookies she has no reason to stretch her garden’s influence. The world would continue onward as it was, albeit the Hollyberry kingdom vanished into thin air along with its royal family, with only an inkling of an idea as to what happened to it.
Which I find it a fun change of pace. Sugar understands that the only person to ever truly understand her and her feelings is Hollyberry. She knows this deep in her heart and that leads to her desperate love she can’t hope to let go. The soul jam was the problem, so why in the world would Sugar want it back? Why not, instead, try to ‘save’ the cookie trapped by its power? Surely, the cookie would understand her point of view.
it’s just fascinating and the Garden of Delights, honestly, is my favorite in soooo many aspects. I’m just a sucker for the cutesy horror (with so much biblical imagery, I wasn’t expecting soo much biblical imagery), the henchvictims that cater to her whim, the beast herself, and just everything. Like oh my goodness!!

there’s something really endearing to me that the player exists in cookie run but we don’t do anything. We’re chilling at the town square having a grand time while everyone else is having the worst time. I need to name my cookie tbh but I want more purple accessories even tho I do like the current fit I got even tho it’s red. Rose Water Cookie does sound kinda cool…but mmmm urple…

you won’t believe what I’m still thinking about. Yeah it’s the update
I’m really glad that they acknowledged Hollyberry’s alcoholism beyond a gag. I have sooo much to say about it. I also have so much to say about the reveal confirming that Holly just wasn’t a great mom to Royal Berry.
I’m doing the second bit first
Royal Berry had to grow up fast due to neglect and seemingly never learned how to be a king because Hollyberry was lost to grief. Part of me wants to say that this had gotten better once Jungle Berry came in and assigned Wildberry Cookie to watch her but even when she’s sober there’s like this weird feeling I get when she talks about Royal Berry. In the beginning of the episode when the two hunters in Beast Yeast were talking about the Hollyberry Kingdom, Hollyberry jumped to defend Jungle Berry but didn’t seem to care about them talking about the king. Which is a Bit weird to me personally??? She was like “:) yeah yeah say what you want about him.” Like girl,,,,honey,,, I don’t get the sense that she hates her kid. I’m going to be sooo honest about that. I don’t think she does, I think she loves Royal Berry Cookie as much as any parent but I think she’s trying to distance herself from the times when she was extremely depressed and mourning the lack of passion in the kingdom which has this consequence. We know she likes Jungle Berry Cookie a lot! But there’s this distinct gap between Royal Berry and her in so much of their dialogue. I like to think that she’s trying to mend that gap though but that stuff takes a lot of time.
Of all the Ancients, I argue that Hollyberry is the one closest to falling. She’s talked a lot about how she wishes to run and distance herself from her responsibilities and has done so already. Her Soul Jam has already shattered after all! Berry juice was another way of running for her, another way of seeking out an escape from the negativity that comes from being everyone’s shield. Royal Berry Cookie attempted an intervention himself but ended up failing, which is fair because he was a cookie kid at the time. I think when the berry juice wasn’t doing its job that’s when Hollyberry Cookie decided to leave the kingdom altogether. To run away from the lack of Passion around her. To run away from Passion itself, to no longer think about being its holder. However, unlike Eternal Sugar, Hollyberry Cookie came back from Beast Yeast and is righting her wrongs.

I’m thinking so much about the themes of Eternal Sugar’s location and just everything about her has been executed wonderfully so far. I’m specifically thinking about how along with Burning Spice’s her area is one of the most visually upsetting.
She doesn’t have cookies ground up to the point their corpses become weapons to hurt their descendants unknowingly and is covered with pastel loveliness. However, she still has some weird stuff going on. Something is blatantly wrong with her Garden. The caterpillars and bushes have teeth. Eyes with wings fly around. The cookies smile a little too wide and while adorned with angelic wings have pointed horns. You can’t have the pastel fun times without the distinct feeling that something is deeply wrong about the place fundamentally. This is carried through with Eternal Sugar’s design and confirmed by her motive. Everything is wrong because this desire for happiness isn’t out of love for the people but a desperate bid to control the uncontrollable. She doesn’t want love, she wants power, and that’s not something you can coat in candy. I also think it’s interesting that she has a lot of specifically eldritch angelic theming. She has the more viscerally upsetting angel imagery with the eyes and multiple wings than say a traditional normie angel.

Over the moons of war, Sunningrocks had become a stone monument for RiverClan and ThunderClan warriors alike. A cemetery away from the typical resting places in their territories. The base of the rocks are decorated with shells, flowers, and any trinkets the cat may have held dear. There are no bodies buried there, just memories. The memories of the last words spoken on a tongue bathed in blood. The caterwauling of grief and anger.
The creation of the crypt was done without agreement and without communication. Warriors, queens, apprentices, and elders who loathed the continued bloodshed gathered themselves to make it happen. Perhaps in a way, the tomb is its own way to protest the continued killings. With the change of paws came the change of cats carrying on the procession. They wouldn’t destroy the graves left by the other clan. They wouldn’t dare. How dare they as mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers do such a thing. Every cat had the right to grieve after all. These rocks aren’t just a basking spot anymore. They’re graves but they cannot just stop fighting. Their family are honored there, their blood, their kin. Who would dare allow their killer walk even close to them?

I drew the entirety of TimberClan. It was very fun and I plan on working on their neighbor at some point. I got inspired by @nanistar who has all of their fanclans drawn out! I would’ve done full bodies too but uh- yeah no.
