There’s something so special about being able to see yourself reflected in your platonic f/os. Taking those traits that you might be a bit self-conscious about and going “no, I think someone like that would make a good friend, actually.” It’s part of what makes those fictional friendships so wonderful and important. You can see and appreciate those traits in them (and you bet they appreciate those same traits in you), so go easy on yourself, OK?

Imagine your f/o helping you through pain. Heating pads, ice packs, massages, whatever kind of ibuprofen/naproxen/pain reliever that works best for your body, running out to get comfort food (while being mindful of what your body would negatively react to), rubbing your back if you feel like crying, supporting you in their arms, helping distract you.
