“This particular project is about my father, but it’s also about so many other people’s fathers. There are so many people who were involved in the Panthers,” she says. “So many people have a file like this on them, many of whom are still in prison, or many of whom might not have a child who happens to be an artist and can use their family as a way to talk about the greater black community and American history.”

I just stumbled across this and wanted to share it widely. If this standard is adopted, it has the power to be a monumental game-changer in healthcare. There is a ton of research showing how dramatically effective respirators are in preventing disease transmission.
I believe anyone can submit a comment even if they're not Canadian (I'm not and I'm planning to), so please consider doing so regardless of where you live!
More info from the World Health Network (WHN) who also made these graphics:
Canada is on the verge of adopting a national standard requiring N95s in healthcare settings and for patient care outside of healthcare settings (e.g., home care)—and your voice can help make it happen. This proposed Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standard would: - Require N95s (or equally protective alternatives) for all healthcare workers, patients, and visitors. - Protect the most vulnerable. - Set a historic global precedent for clean air in healthcare. The CSA is accepting public comments until August 19. Submitting your comment takes just a few minutes and could make a global impact. Submit your comment here.
More details are available on this WHN website page, which has instructions (with screenshots!) and sample statements to help you write a comment.
Do No Harm BC also has a step-by-step guide on getting involved, template answers to make commenting easier, and an overview of everything that's super easy for the layperson to follow. They also have this info in French.

Reblogging for the morning crowd!
I finally got around to designing my take on the Huntrix Light Stick for 3D printing.
This is the 100th design I've done for my MakerWorld account, so I wanted to make it more complicated than anything I had done prior so all the parts print separately and without supports.
All that is needed for assembly is a little super glue for a couple parts. I also made an assembly guide in the description on the page.
You can find it here for free!
It doesn't light up, but I'm brainstorming on how to design a version that does. 😆

Daiso has bunch of blind bag Anime merch. I've watched none of them, but I was curious so I picked up an acrylic stand.

Trying Dollzone Shoyo on a b45-017 body.
It's absolutely lovely. I thought it was so much smaller but turns out to be just as tall as the older body. I think it suits her head size better though. It's the tiny chest and shoulders I guess, not the height.
I like it so much. The posing is very different feeling. Kinda like the older body would slip right into a natural sit but was less easy to get to stay put in poses. The new body can achieve a natural sit but you have to intentionally work the joints to get her there. But she holds a pose shockingly well. I thought she'd be slippery like my Doll Chateau. But despite her shiny resin she grips good.
Oh her arms/elbow joints are chef kiss.
She just looks better even clothed, to me.
Side by side (nude) comparison under the cut.
