Madelon Vriesendorp
The Rijksmuseum has acquired a set of drawings from the 1970's by the fabulous artist Madelon Vriesendorp. I was lucky enough to visit her wonderful studio in London and I wrote about the work for the Art of information blog and for the Rijksmuseum Bulletin.

Writing fiction 👽
Together with artist Noor Nuyten, I am exploring the possibilities of writing about her work by means of short fictional stories. I have already written one involving an erased eraser, a tired curator & a conceptual art thief. Many thanks to Mondriaan Fonds for believing in and supporting the project! The book will appear mid 2024 :)

Reading a Wave
Artist Noor Nuyten invited me to write a text on the occasion of the exhibition Reading a Wave: Noor Nuyten & Marinus Boezem at Upstream Gallery. I wrote an essay about the fantastic playfulness in the work of both artists, connecting this to Italo Calvino’s fabulous Cosmicomics.

Current Mirror
In the midst of the early 2021 lockdown, artist Wyne Veen invited me for a studio visit. Our conversation briefly touched upon NFTs. Tossed back and forth between excitement and suspicion, we continued the conversation over the following months: reading, minting, listening, discovering, writing, creating, thinking and questioning. In the summer we shared out thoughts with the world during a studio exhibition in Amsterdam. Wyne showed her new works alongside two digital paintings by artist Sara Ludy.
