60 years ago, a strange case of insomnia struck the population, forcing them to stay awake for more than a full week. The victims, completely sleep deprived, all went mad. To cure this illness, a new medicine was produced, but the side effects turned the patients into vampires. Humanity went to war against this new species and triumphed, but some of the vampires managed to survive. Born from a Human and a Vampire, the main character Mi Liu, "The Child of Hope," is to represent the new hope that will connect the two species. Ringleader of a bank robbery, Mi Liu is arrested and transferred to a special prison of the National Defense Agency that monitors Vampires. Trying to break free with Anji, Mi Liu is attacked by strange monsters and he finds out that the prison location corresponds to the birthplace of Vampires, the old capital "Blue Town." Why are Vampires trapped in Blue Town? What are those strange monsters attacking them? Our heroes must fight to solve those mysteries.

Not a very interesting story TBH. The characters were pretty bland, especially the female characters who were only there for boobs. All in all was hard to finish. 2/5

After contracting hepatitis A, Ezaki Yuuichi has been confined to a hospital, away from his friends and family, much to his displeasure. To relieve his boredom, he has taken to sneaking out of the hospital, usually putting himself on the receiving end of a beating from his nurse. Upon meeting a girl his age also staying in the hospital, he is immediately captivated by her beauty. Akiba Rika's personality is not quite as captivating as her beauty however. In fact, she is rather selfish, moody, and bossy. But as the two spend more time with each other, they become closer, sharing the ordinary joys and trials of a budding teenage romance, even when darkened with impending tragedy—for Rika's condition does not leave her much longer to live.

It was okay, VERY unrealistic hospital conditions... or just the worst hospital in Japan. The story ended differently than expected, but there were still feels. 3/5

Lain Iwakura, an awkward and introverted fourteen-year-old, is one of the many girls from her school to receive a disturbing email from her classmate Chisa Yomoda—the very same Chisa who recently committed suicide. Lain has neither the desire nor the experience to handle even basic technology; yet, when the technophobe opens the email, it leads her straight into the Wired, a virtual world of communication networks similar to what we know as the internet. Lain's life is turned upside down as she begins to encounter cryptic mysteries one after another. Strange men called the Men in Black begin to appear wherever she goes, asking her questions and somehow knowing more about her than even she herself knows. With the boundaries between reality and cyberspace rapidly blurring, Lain is plunged into more surreal and bizarre events where identity, consciousness, and perception are concepts that take on new meanings.

Definitely an interesting show. Surreal, but not so off the wall that you cannot follow the story. A little dated, but the story and the strange elements keep it from feeling too old. Recommended for something weird.  4/5

Kuronuma Sawako is completely misunderstood by her classmates. Her timid and sweet demeanor is often mistaken for malicious behavior. This is due to her resemblance to the ghost girl from "The Ring," which has led her peers to give her the nickname Sadako. Longing to make friends and live a normal life, she is naturally drawn to Kazehaya Shouta, the most popular guy in class, whose "100% refreshing" personality earns him great admiration from Sawako. So when Kazehaya starts talking to her, maybe there is hope for the friendships Sawako has always longed for. Maybe... there is even a little hope for some romance in her future.

I enjoyed this show quite a lot. Sawako is precious and her friends are the best. 5/5

Brave 10 Episode 03

Before the Warring States era came to a close, legend has it that Yukimura Sanada has been gathering ten warriors known as Sanada's Brave 10, who have the power to change history.

Pretty typical fighting anime, still had interesting parts and nice character designs. Tons of familiar voices. The ending was pretty predictable, but it still ended differently in some ways than expected. I appreciated some less common body types for female characters and other things.

“Phantom Thief REINYA” is the slapstick short comedy animation unfolded by a cute but spoiled thief and dumb police unit.

Definitely had some funny moments.

In this modern magic action story, Takeshi Nanase is an ordinary high school boy who has a somewhat dark past. However, one day, he comes across a girl named Mui Aiba, in a uniform he has never seen before, collapsed on the school campus. This encounters changes Takeshi's destiny completely. Mui tells Takeshi that she is a magician, and she apologizes, for she turned Takeshi into a magician, too. What Takeshi once knew as one world is actually two — the world where magicians live and the world where humans live.

It was pretty enjoyable. Some of the characters looked similar and I got them confused at times. The ending was... confusing. They rushed things too much at the end and left too many cliffhangers / untied ends. If the ending was better managed, it would have been like 4/5.

Fantasista Doll

Uzume Uno is an ordinary junior high school student nothing special to mention about school grades or in the field of sports. However, one day, her destiny is significantly changed. She happens to find mysterious cards from which dolls therein with special abilities come out to real life. Uzume becomes the “Card Master” and executes contract with these characteristic dolls. Soon or later, she somehow finds herself in a position to fight not just for her own town, but to save the whole world.

The designs for the dolls were great. Maybe needed more big fight scenes, but the ones it had were great. It ended well and was overall enjoyable.

Blue Submarine No. 6

It is the future, and the world is getting smaller by the second. As a result of the machinations of the rogue scientist Zorndyke, all land and sea level has begun to succumb to the expanding ocean tides. Billions have died, and mankind is now at war with Zorndyke's army of water dwelling hybrids. Mankind's last hopes lie within an international fleet of submarines and the vessel, Hayami. Together, they and the rest of blue fleet must launch an attack on Zorndyke's base of operations in Antarctica before he floods the rest of the world's remaining landmass.

4 part OVA / Movie

A bit outdated with early CGI, but overall a pretty good story. Themes of war and environmental conservation.

If you are lonely sleeping alone at night, then this show is for you! A first-person anime, each episode features a different boyfriend who sleeps beside the viewer each week. With 12 different personalities and ranging from a stall vendor to a librarian boy, there is surely a boyfriend for every viewer!

Ordinary high schooler Yoshiharu is sent back in time to the Warring States Period, however not the same time line that he remembers. There he meets Nobuna Oda - not Nobunaga, Nobuna. In this world, all the famous figureheads and warlords of the era are female! Nobuna teams up with Yoshiharu to help fuel her ambition and quest to rule the world…

Harem anime, and the guy is a bit of a gross perv sometimes, but he does prove hes not useless. A cool twist on the Japanese legend.

Blue Spring Ride At the end of her first year of high school, the main heroine, Futaba suddenly has a chance encounter with her first love, Tanaka Kou. Three years ago, he transferred schools before she was able to say how she felt about him. After meeting each other again, Futaba realizes that he has gone through many changes. He acts more cool and even had his last name changed to Mabuchi. Gradually the two rekindle their love while piecing together what had happened in the time that they were apart. 

Very enjoyable show. Great characters and well written episodes.
